UB resentment is SO creepy! The fact that both halfs don't get along so the body contorts in a horrifying way is just messed up...And then it seperates...

@@DeadBedSpread I also think it was an incredibly creative way to turn a more psychological based fear into something more traditionally scary. When I heard your pitch, I has no idea what to expect from a monster based on that fear, so you did a really good job executing it! It's really creative!

UB Resentment was my favorite but then was over shadowed by UB Impact. Which I at first thought was the fear of war, weapons, and just destruction in general.
Who would've thought that the most physically powerful could be based off of something so harmless?
It's still an uncomfortable image. It's a brand. Hot burning iron that is used to stamp your logo like in a cow, and imagine that thing approaching your face. It has connotations of metal, fire, and ownership.

I love the ultra beasts, but part of me feels they never should have had names. It really feels like they took the mystery out of them with the names, as hard to pronounce they can be.

So I'm claustrophobic and I got genuine anxiety listening to you talk about being trapped under ice. Normally people just talking about fears don't actually trigger the fear for me. But this did it. So, nicely done I suppose! UB-Flood is surprisingly tame for such a horrific concept. I like it. Still works as a "Pokemon". Love that the sheet of ice becomes a stylish hat.

Oh, gosh I'm so with you on eye stuff. I used to work in emergency and there wasn't a lot that grossed/freaked me out. But having to take stuff out of people's eyes...that did it.

As someone who just got out of a not necessarily toxic relationship (everything was good except 1 thing plus a massive misunderstanding on my end), UB Resentment spoke to me. This was my first relationship nome the less. I really do hope the best for my “other half”, but man thats a creepy design

Your not alone in being spooked by cinema logos. I was always terrified of the Dolby Digital logo with the woman saying "All. Around. You.". And who wasn't offput by the VHX logo at least once?

UB Impact: Volkereta (From the word volcano which it is a rupture in the crust of a planetary-mass object, such as Earth, that allows hot lava, volcanic ash, and gases to escape from a magma chamber below the surface and kereta which is Indonesian for train)
Nice! This inspired me to make my own: UB Reflect. An ultra beast based off of my fear of mirrors, evil clones, and volcanoes going off (cuz melted glass is basically lava)

if i was making a Fear UB....i'd make it a Guzzlord Size rusting Deep Sea Ship Whale......God i love having 4 big fears that fucking anihilate my thoughts when combined. Thalasophobia, Submechanophobia, Megalophobia and the fear of the dark. Just thinking of a Massive Sunken Ship makes my Fight or Flight kick in 0-o
Fun fact: megalohydrothalassophobia is the word for combined megalophobia and thalassophobia: the fear of large underwater objects or creatures. So you probably have that, too.
The name of that particular phobia has been known to trigger people's hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia.

I've watched this like, 10 times now. The "eye stuff" segment never gets easier.
The only thing I'm outwardly afraid of (aside fictional things) is household molds.

Y’know, the story behind UB Impact reminds me of our early 2000s generation with those Disney on DVDs where it shows what movies to expect, and there was always that scene of the stars shooting from the corners with a flute(?) fiddling in sync with the stars coming in and then BAM an orchestra plays for a bit when the Walt Disney logo finishes, I always got up and ran around to not see it out of fear. Another thing about those DVDs is that whenever they’re about to show a Disney movie that’s gonna come out it cuts to a blue background with a vertical magenta bar close to the left side of the screen along with a golden beige horizontal bar closer to the bottom with a somewhat peaceful drone plays with a narrator of sorts says “Coming soon. In theaters” no matter how hard I tried I couldn’t tear my eyes away from those moments even if I was on the other side of the room, or even if I heard it from the hallway I’d get this strange ethereal feeling whenever I hear that drone

Ah yes, the loud sounds of the screen advertisement ads in cinema. Thank god my cinemas didn't had that Carlton logo. But let's be real tho, UB Impact or Stolcano as I just now mentally called it, is a pretty clear representation of Meteorophobia, the fear of Meteors and... Let's be honest, alot of kids that watched Dinosaur have been traumatized by the meteor shower scene in Dinosaur. But what really does get my anxiety up, that THX Logo that ALWAYS comes up in the beginning of a film in DVDs. That sound sends chills up my spine every time it plays. You want me to enjoy the movie or not movie makers?!

I also have a fear related to a movie. It was a movie for children but was supposed to be scary as it was about a group of friends all trying to tell the best scary story. Most weren't scary to me then or now, but one just got to me. It was about a girl who's reflection came out of the mirror and ran rampant, destroying her reputation and friendships. Finally, the reflection teamed up with a whole swarm of other reflections who dragged the original into the mirror realm, trapping her there forever. Her reflection continued running free, doing who knows what else to everyone the original cared about. The idea of someone taking over my life and harming those I care about, all while making them think it was me who was doing it, terrified me and gave me a fear of mirrors. It was so ingrained in me that looking in the mirror nowadays triggers anxious and depressed thoughts, all because of a children's movie.

Up until this moment I had all but forgotten about how terrifying that carlton advert was. Jesus Christ. It would just come out of nowhere. Literally starting off your cinema trip with a jump scare 😱

I completely relate to that last one, I barely remember the movie I was trying to watch in cinema that day but the memory of a logo video of a sun exploding loudly and brightly has stayed with me for years, I literally stopped going cinema for years or with intense fear after that day and even now I mentally prepare myself to see it again so I'm not left completely terrified if it does happen again (luckily so far it has not)
My personal eye-based trauma came from Kirby with it's most prominent, most evil, most dangerous, and most disturbing villain, Dark Matter... and the Kirby franchise just continued to drive that fear even deeper as the games went on!
Finger/Hand stuff is my hang up. That one scene in the first Bourne movie with the pen in the hand, oof 😭

I just imagine that befriending UB Resentment would be a journey to finally reconcile the two halves, as incompatible as they are. After all, Pokemon was always trying to convey a level of friendship: Mega Evolutions for instance bring pokemons to near pain, with Sharpedo for instance having all of their scars resurfacing at once in an extreme chorus of pain... they'd only do that because they're friend with you, willing to surpass themselves and face pain just for this journey.

This Pokemon consists of two pairs of once-believed individual Pokemon but in actuality ice armor. Once taking enough damage, its toxic core and self makes manifest, and is prone to causing a nasty rampage to anything it sees or grab with the limbs of its now broken armor. The toxic fumes emitted from its core can cause one's negativity to swell to the point that it kills them from shock.

Blastroid, the Impact Pokemon
This Pokemon has been sighted rarely around the Solar System and out in space, constantly flying thanks to their self-refueling bodies. Upon making a landing on a surface, they can create massive craters and fires that burn for days, with their craters strangely resembling a star.
These near-mindless Pokemon are very volatile upon making impact on ground as they make instant quakes with their heavy feet and leaving star-shaped burn marks that can spread flames, leading to many fires. Despite being blind, it is shown that they can see thru heat detection and will try to absorb said heat source for itself.
Oooooooooh I got chills during the last one! I remember that logo well!
The lesson here is never expose children to logos!
UB resentment 🎉is an absolutely brilliant concept that somehow makes this intangible, but very real fear into two alien creatures incompatible foe each other but still a beast/powerhouse. It feels like it would lend itself to 3d animation very well. Reminds me of a concept I loved from a Rick & Morty episode!!

I just came up with a name for UB resentment being: argstrosity a combination of argue, argument and argh or ahhh! the sound when you’re upset or annoyed and monstrosity with the ugly core inside.
UB Ocular reminds me of a beholder and I love it.

UB Submerged Dorsal [Water/Steel] (based on submechanophobia)
UB Submerged Antler [Water/Dragon] (Antlewave, also based on submechanophobia)
UB Adapting Spite [Dark/Dragon] (Adadeptile, based on SCP-682)
I'd love-but-also-hate to see a trypophobia-based Ultra Beast. Maybe name it UB-Porous and base it off of a sponge, since those have a lot of holes....

I agree with UB Impact, except it wasn't Carlton Screen Advertising I was terrified of. It was the Vue cinema pre-show that haunted me as a kid. The one from 2015.
