This lore video supports my newest theory since Carla can make complex A.I. A simple piece of equipment becoming so much more than its initial purpose. Didn't realize ChattyStick was the key. Thank you for this video as it was enlightening. ^_^
Maybe one of the first AI allies in the series, cuz most of them either try to manipulate the player or just straight out send their massed produce AC. I hope in the next expansion we got somethin more like this maybe he will took carla place cuz fromsoft loves time skip

Honestly Chatty seems more like a son to Carla than a friend, especially her initial reaction to his "death." Also as dumb as it is I took my Nine-Ball build's against Freud for fun after hearing his "A.I. AC line."
I won't lie i like that you did that, Its kinda neat =) Still i can get behind that though after all in a way carla did bring chatty to life. I think i just like the way it sounded in the script.
@@armoredcorelore the Seraph build is fun having both a Redshift and Moonlight that can be spammed out while the regular Nine-Ball has a coral blade and the basic linear rifle (because the bubble guns don't look right.) My one problem is I had to use the Stun Needle Launcher on both because there are no fold over grenade launchers.
Yeah cosplay builds do tend to suffer as the gens go on. But i mean i kind of like the stun needle launcher as i think if nine-ball had the choice it would love to pin its foe down and shove a moonlight into them.
The funny thing is the circus in his name really does speak to the cinematic style of fighting in this AC iteration. I don't think people realize how influential he is... expect ranked kites/rats
it's named after Ichiro Itano animation technique in macross series, specifically the micro missile massacre barrage or "Itano Circus", reflecting his and Carla's missiles focused combat style.
Excellent post! I believe someone else noted that Chatty was the first AI in the series that wasn't hell-bent on ruling the world. It was refreshing. My hope is that in the near future, we'll have an opportunity to create and train our own AI wingman to take into missions. Kind of like the Consort missions of Silent Line or like the Pawn system from Dragon's Dogma.
Well we did have the unacs but the three powers ones tried to kill us. Our own did not however thanks loop hole. They are correct chatty is the first ai who was not out to kill us atleats not until we tried to kill his boss. I did like the unac system and with my recent time I'm ff i am all for more ai friends in ac.
You can actually save chatty in the FOR ending if you're fast enough in killing Freud and use pulse protection. I think. It's a bit like when you kill the Wall's juggernaut before the Rusty leaves.
Unfortunately not, his death is scripted into the mission. Freud literally one-shots Chatty as the cutscene ends. Only way to "save" Chatty is to hack the game, which doesn't actually change the story in any way.

What is it about Chatty that makes him such a likable character despite the fact that he gets so little screen time? I don't like him quite as much as Ayre or Walter, but he's up there with Rusty and Carla for me. Is it that he is one of the few characters who actually thanks and shows gratitude towards the MC? Is it that he’s one of the few characters that doesn’t act like a disrespectful big shot? For me, its because during the 20 tries that it took me to take down the Ice Worm the first time, it was always Chatty who was the last one alive. I always felt so much dread when his AC went down cause he was the only one who kept me from being alone in the fight. Such an awesome and clever way to build a real bond with a character

Still i really like you reason a connection with chatty, i think my has to be when he tell carla off for coming to 621 recuse and how important she is to R.A.D. It got me thinking ah that's a guy that cares. Forgetting chatty is an ai for a moment.
An AI yes, but Chatty here is more kind and caring. Chief to be frank is self centred and rude. If chatty shots you, you know you've done something to hurt his boss. If chief shoot you he just did it because your in his way or you where just there and he wanted to kill something.
I think this is a prequel to AC4, which is a prequel to ACV. Chatty learning to laugh and referring to Carla as "Chief" and Chief's maniacal laughter seem all too correlated. The "towers" in ACV look like PCA ships. It would make sense, the abundance of technology in the towers also.
I mean i like the theory so why not? I could say but one of the directors of the game said its got no connections to other titles. But where is this the fun in that? Its these theories that keep ac lore interesting!

@@IBISMK1 Oh it's a whole deep hole of its own and really its something we have never got an offical answer to since the other ac games got thier timelines shown in books. You see my issue with the links is from one the 5th gen book the fact the history section basically say there might have been a war where these super mechs poisoned the earth on the other hand maybe it was the global warning. But all that information has been lost to time so who knows. Its almost to me that the time between creating fa and v from soft forgot their own lore and slapped something togther to at least try and bring the fans back in.
Humanity in AC4 can't even go to space and stuck on earth (major plot point in For Answer), while in AC6 interstellar travel is already a common thing. The settings that precede AC4 would be our world in near future, as corporations used NEXTs to wage war against world governments that still exist before AC4.
@cnhnx The PCAs were locking down planets from travel in AC6. AC6 would prequel AC4. All the more reason after the 621 incident to lock down the planet with the satellites. Also, the size and movement of the 6th gen ACs are near identical to the 4th gen. The shield tech they used would naturally advance to the 4th gen also. The theories that LR takes place before AC6 would also make sense with the pulverizer tech used in AC advancement. Yeah, it might have some holes here and there, but personally, I think it's way more fun to think about an in-depth lore of AC instead of multiple universes with a single sided story for each game.
I don't think so. I think games are like that you can really like a series and then one game comes out and you like you know what I don't want or need to play that. For me that series is monster hunter I never brought the newest one as I just have no desire for it.
