Filmed undercover, the gangs speak about what motivates them and the lengths they'll go to in order to evade capture. On the other side of the story, the film follows the Met's specialist task force 'Operation Venice', witnessing new and evolving police methods such as 'controlled tactical contact', where the police car knocks the perpetrator off their bike to stop the chase. In a further attempt to stop these crimes, vigilante groups have also stepped into the fray to scare the gangs off - but are they a help or a hindrance to the police?

The abuse of what is perceived to be “British society” is widespread. The police, although not perfect, have a very difficult job. I’m glad I don’t have a police force like that found in Brazil or SA (my GF is Brazilian and says you can not trust them, certainly not the local police) but the Met need to be allowed to actually police. There is no place for racism and I can only imagine what it’s like to be stopped every time you go out but then ‘stop and search’ is effective and I’d argue if you are deliberately hiding your face and acting in a certain way perhaps you attract attention to yourself. A few truths about where the crime comes from, although uncomfortable or difficult, is more honest. Naturally the political animal wants votes and that means kerbing the Met powers and making them the enemy. A crazy world which is why I plan to leave for another country, contribute almost nothing of my income to the UK and let it deal with the changes it voted for.
"It takes a village" still holds true, but nowadays its a single parent working 2+ jobs and the kids get 'raised' by strangers (daycare) who don't teach any values... If they don't get values taught, the street (gangs) will, because at least they give a sense of belonging.
A huge problem is the fact that families of criminals who are hurt or killed in police chases sue the police for pursuing. The claims shouldn't even get to a court. The person involved knew that what they were doing was illegal and they knew the risks when they ran from the police, them getting hurt is entirely on them. The law needs to change in favour of the police and law abiding citizens before things can change.
