:) I clicked to see what a Heyboard concerto was, but ended up enjoying this beatiful piano concerto by the great C.P.E. Bach. Thanks for posting it along with the score. So glad to see it here! I knew a little about him, but because I was listening to this one, I read more about him. He wrote scores and scores of concertos, includine on for harpsichord, piano, and orchestra! Fascinating.
Thank you for making a video that can be listened to with the sheet music. I would like to play this piece, but I can’t find this score. Could you tell me where I can get it? Please.
absolutely his father's son, and yet certainly not 'Papa' Bach's work, because I doubt he'd write such a long, daring, or convoluted theme for the 1st movement. Lovely though! I certainly would like to try it out...
When does a C P E Concerto become a keyboard concerto? This happens when the Harpsichord Concerto in D minor, H.427 (Bach, Carl Philipp Emanuel) is played on a piano. Same thing for any Harpsichord piece by J S Bach…
00:00 I Allegro
08:13 II Poco andante
14:40 III Allegro assai
Phenomenal concerto
I use to listen to this piano concerto over and over again, but this performance really shocked me.
Bravissimo and bravissimi!!!!!
Wonderful music, thank you 🌈
What an amazing jumy and lively first theme. I honestly had never heard something like that.

What expressiveness!!! Immensely enjoyable!!
He always starts off his pieces with so much panache
A beautiful and joyful concerto.
Mozart e bach sono unici che dio li benedica
De fato, o desenvolvimento temático e harmônico apontam novos rumos.

Es el hijo?
@@CapitanAdHominem Sí, es el hijo de J. S. Bach
Superb quality music. ❤ The dialogue between the soloist and the orchestra is amazing.

18:11 sounds a little bit familiar
Same as Prelude No.2 Bach

I can't believe I still can't get into CPE Bach's works! And I thought his solo keyboard works were dreadful.
14:50 Beethoven might have copied it 😨

This is a harpsichord concerto. It has to be performed on a harpsichord and not on a modern grand piano!
