So they offered him this management job, knowing that this other exec would intentionally undermine his efforts to the company’s detriment? And nobody said anything?
The writing on this one is pretty rough. But this story reminded me of another one (which I think is real, unlike this one) where OP was fired because her boss wanted the bonus that would come with the million-dollar contract with a German client that OP was looking after. The problem is that OP speaks German and her boss assumed that everything was done in English. In a rush, the boss wrote a German contract using Google Translate that was full of errors and failed the online meeting because she thought the client would speak English. Or something like that, I heard this story during the pandemic.
Another story that could have been told in a minute. Son of boss tries to screw over guy but boss finds out and guys screws over the bosses son instead See not even a minute.

Lol. In today's episode of "stuff that never happened"
With that phrasing like someone is writing a novel, yea
Looks like the OP is getting the respect he deserves and that's a good thing for now.
For executives to say to some your only an interpretator is insane when you can speak 7 languages, your a literal genius!
Chris really underestimated the importance of Mark’s skills-what a big mistake!

It's called a summary, and can be used for any piece of media. Go read those then instead of complaining about the method a story is delivered in.
