iirc, what the parents did was VERY illegal. Just because you're the manager of a trust fund that is entailed in someone's will, as an inheritance, does NOT give you the right to touch that money, never mind give all of it away! in cases like this, many good lawyers will actually work for no fees up front, and you can also request the judge to assign payment of the lawyer's fees to the criminals once the case is won against them.

NTA, because your stepdad treated you as if you didn't matter and never will ever but I believe that if you have to help them you should do this: find out from the bank how much they actually are behind on mortgage payments and come up with a substantial payment plan to take care of it then go NC on them afterwards for good measure.
