  • @Panwere36
    @Panwere36 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +19

    The laptop was the final straw, and they did it on purpose and the reality of what it led to was proven by the wife/sister starting to see the husband/father's POV.. and trashing the house while they were gone just detonated the bomb that the twins built. Things like that are the reason relative sue each other. The deliberate trashing of "Courtney's room" was beyond deliberate. The stealing of the second laptop really is proof that it wasn't "just a party" as the "party" was cover for theft and destroying other people's property. The brother stealing for gambling would have been just bad enough. but the girls need to be in juvenile lock up. Betraying the wife/mother's (Marcy's) trust was what broke the camel's back, though.
    There is nothing at all wrong with how the OP and Marcy handling it! Courtney never should have had to deal with any of that. When a teenager has to be so stressed to expose that people who are toxic have finally crossed the line completely. I partly feel sorry for the twins, but only because their father is clearly a failure as a parent, a father, a man, and a human being.

    One unconventional yet effective approach I've used is to mirror the entitled person's behavior in a calm and respectful way. Instead of directly confronting their attitude, I’d ask them if they need something specific or how I can help in a very professional and neutral tone. By remaining polite, but showing that their behavior is being noticed and met with boundaries, they often realize their entitlement isn't going to get them special treatment. It’s subtle, but it shifts the dynamic without escalating the situation

It doesn't matter if their family or the excuse that you don't beat family but if they're destroying your kids livelihood then you do whatever you need to do to protect your child even though I don't even have kids, I have siblings. Your wife is making so many excuses that she isn't even a wife anymore she's just a hindrance to your own life and her brother is straight up trash and the fact they destroyed the laptop and you still let them stay in the house only for them to break the lock and destroy your daughter's room is honestly pathetic. 2:07 a life saving tip if the hard drive is still in decent condition you can take it out and put in a mother laptop of the same model, I literally tripped and let go of my laptop and it shattered as it when down the stairs but the hard drive was fine and I bought a shitty version of my model and saved all my data then later got a better one and I transferred it and my stuff is all good

    Sometimes, the best way to deal with an entitled person is by calmly setting clear boundaries and not engaging in their demands. By staying calm and not giving in to their expectations, you can show that respect and consideration go both ways.

    I would like to believe that the OP’s daughter was from a previous marriage or something because if his wife wasn’t defending her own daughter, then she definitely had to be a step-mom because no mother would let her daughter’s misery and pain caused by anyone, regardless of family, be endured without consequences.

    I’m sorry but what is the obsession with having people come over to a party where the guests disrespect your house? Pacific Islander from Hawai’i here and we’ve had many house parties(yes even in high school) but we would never dare trash/disrespect anyone’s home. We took off our shoes, cooked rice just in case and helped clean as we go. It’s the lack of home training for me.

    If my brother in laws kids or my brothers kids would "borrow"/steal my daughters stuff. I would tell him that his daughters need to give them back. If they are broken, then either he or his daughters will pay for them. But when those girls broke into my daughters room and stole the laptop etc. I would have called the cops. And I would have done everything so my daughter could get all of her stuff from the laptop so she didnt lose everything.

    10:37 womp womp. Maybe if you riding spend money and you actually disciplined your daughters, then they would help you. They’ve stolen, destroyed property, and now that you’ve kicked them out, they’ve just “entered” your house without permission. Breaking and entering.

    as a father OP is a complete and utter failure. what kind of a spineless person allows this to happen to his home and his daughter? the first time they went into his daughters room he should have told the BIL this stops now or you wont like the next step. when they destroyed something that belonged to his daughter he should have sat BIL and his wife and said you and your thieving brats are leaving TODAY and then told his wife if you dare defend him you can leave with him because we will be divorcing,
