Yes they can be a hit or miss with theses kits but usually it’s a hit and I just received an awesome kit. It’s like completely upgraded in every way. 99 bucks..amazing. Also unlike electric bikes they don’t run out of battery lol 😂
Just got the same exact kit. Had to use an offset intake to make carb clear frame. All is good but the carb jet was unscrewed on the inside causing engine to run super rich. Anyone building new I’d suggest peeking inside the float bowl to make sure everything is assembled as to save you an extra headache.
Just finished installing the motor kit except for the chain guard. It was a challenge as my bike is a retro model; a 1937 Columbia-Built. My test run is tomorrow. I can update y'all post-test. Thank you, DIY TEK NUT, for your video guidance. It helped me A TON!
Update: I had to make some adjustments installing the motor but for the most part it works well. I am breaking in the motor but it seems to bog down instead of idle when I slow. Isn't it supposed to idle even when I am stopped or is it supposed to only run when I am in motion on the bike?
I need help finishing putting one together I have the engine on it with a carburetor and the sprocket on the wheel but not all the way v it up and plus the throttle

Plainly illegal to ride on the road in UK, as it has a throttle and not pedal assist it is classed as a motor vehicle hence needs mot, road tax, insurance, licence. Not worth getting caught unless on private land.
it seems to move along pretty good on flat ground anyway, I put one together some years ago for another guy, he had the idea we could start selling them, but that idea didn't fly.

Hell yeah ! Phantom 85 V3 threw me off rodeo style upon starting, Wasn't expecting it. Now I lean forward when I pop clutch. I switched to a 44T rear sprocket to tame it. That backfired for me causing it to wheelie. I went back to the 36T.
Just ordered on the price is good I got my kit for less that 120$ us. But I ordered a better chain tensioner for an extra 20$ can't wait to put it together.
There's a sprocket mount which is in two halves and clamps around the inner wheel hub on eBay for around 22 quid. The sprocket bolts to that and runs true and a better way of transmitting the drive than through the spokes. Regards Vic.

Not really, I put two mufflers and an intake muffler on mine and while its quieter, the noise of the engine gears are still loud. My Ebike is quiet but still not silent either.
No you can still use the gears I just took them of as they did not work, if you have grip shift change for a thumb shifter and keep the gears on for if you run out of gas.
Not road legal in UK as not pedal assist, just throttle hence it is a motor vehicle. Ride it on the road without tax insurance and MOT and the fuzz will pull you over and issue IN10 offence for no insurance. Your insurance premiums over the next 5 years will be more than a proper scooter cost!!! Ask me how I know this?!? Lol

@@moneydeals3652 Nah first it was the nuts and screws for the sprocket then it was the screws for the Umount. Then the screws for the chain case cover. They all stripped. I got this thing up and running finally and my chain broke along with the case cover for the chain it where the clutch sits, snapped off so I can't even put screws to mount it back. I didn't even have this thing for a week before it broke. I'm currently speaking to the people I bought this from.
I know that 2stroke oil has to be mixed with the petrol for the fuel tank but the actual engine will need engine oil will it,? Am wondering if its got shipping oil in which will need draining from the sump plug and filling with engine oil?? If so which oil would it be because I've got the same kit as yours it looks like anyway same parts and manual etc and it doesn't mention that in it because different oils needed on 2 stroke or 4 stroke etc as I don't want to sieze the cylinder head etc please mate 👍 thanks for your reply to

Yasin Ince the magneto is 6v-9v ac output depending on engine rpm the wattage is about 2.5w 3w max a incandescent bulb would not be very bright but you could use LED. white wire and black ground it’s AC voltage so you need a bridge rectifier to convert to dc voltage. All the best have fun.
I got it working. The clutch wasn’t engaging because it wasn’t tight enough. So once I fixed that it worked straight away. Shortly after I lost control while driving it and had to choose between driving into a wall Or a wheelie bin. I chose the bin. Then I got sick into said bin 😂 successful first day I think! 😂

For some reason when I insert the spark plug the wheel doesn’t wanna spin and it sort of locks but when I take the spark plug out the wheel moves normally why is that ?
Speedy The Robot yes it should do this with the spark plug out there is no compression so the engine will turn over easily. With the plug in when you turn the engine over it’s compressing the air in the combustion chamber so it will take a lot more force to turn . Like I said before once you have the clutch set up when you pull the clutch lever it will disengage the engine and allow you to pedal easily.
Heyy man i can’t get mine to work I bought it brand new and I followed all the steps but I notice when I put the spark plug in the engine doesn’t want to run and then when I take the spark plug out the engine runs perfectly but when the spark plug isn’t in the engine all the air come out from where the spark plug goes instead do you know why is it doing this ?

Use locktite on all screws and bolts. Vibrations shake everything loose.

My bike has a clearance of 32cm from the bottom tube will it be able to fit the motor you recon?

No you need to charge a small 6v battery 🔋 then you could power speakers, usb output , lights .

sorry bit late white wire comes from the dynamo to charge a 6 volt battery if you want to run lights

Not typically the sprocket goes on the opposite side of the cassette on the rear wheel.

Jakson Pritt It’s 2 stroke there is no oil reservoir, that’s why you mix oil with the fuel to lube the engine.

Will have more torque you can build motors now with the power of 2 motors or you can just get a bigger sprocket
To increase speed you would make the sprocket smaller. I think I saw a 36 tooth sprocket on Amazon

Mine does the same. My muffler is secured to the bike so if the bolts /nuts fail nothing moves.

Most kits you can get different size adapter for better fit most kits come the same size far as mounting goes bro so any kit should work

Btw the kit is only 50cc idk why companies keep listing it as 80cc and you can buy them on eBay or Amazon for around $90-$100
You installed the rear sprocket wrong it's backwards should lip away from the wheel not towards
To late now its done about 3000 miles that way ain’t done know harm, looks better this way.

I feel like I’d want the clutch hidden on the left side like a compression clutch and keep front and rear brakes
