- Blazt The Speakerz and CSVagrant return with their follow up video, Street Fighter 4 Ryu & Ken Combo Expo 2! In the previous video that they made in just 6 hours on the day the game came out, they displayed basic to intermediate combos. This second video displays advanced combos, mostly featuring the focus attack dash cancel. These combos are not practical and are for entertainment purposes only but they can be applied in an actual match as you will notice the super meter bar not regenerating nor set on infinite. Please be advised of this information when reviewing, commenting and rating.

This is a just a straight badass video. Great work. I like the ending credits especially showing how ryu and ken canceling each others moves as equals students/masters of Master Gouken's fighting style.
I like how these combo's have been put together, in order to do these i guess you really must have a feeling for the game. I hope that will happen to me too sometime :P

I bought Street Fighter 4 today, and I kind of hated it first. I was used to games like Tekken and Soul Calibur, BUT HOLY FUCKING BALLS THIS VIDEO IS GREAT. I GUESS YOU ACTUALLY HAVE TO TRAIN TO GET GOOD IN THIS GAME. This actually sounds good, instead of lol button smashing from Tekken this might require skill.
Well, I guess I will have to train a bit more.
Tnak you for adding so nice video. Ken and Ryu are my favs with Sagat and Cammy. I am new to SF4 (I played many prequels before: EX alpha was best for me) so I have hard times, but thanks to this it will be a bit easier. :-)

I'm almost sure you've made a decision by now, but in case you haven't here's what I'd say: PS3 Controller > Xbox360 Controller. But lots of people are saying the arcade stick is the best, so it's actually: Arcade Stick > PS3 Controller > Xbox360 Controller.
Personally I just can't play with arcade stick, feels like i'll break the stick trying to do things lol but i'd vote ps3 due to being a d-pad player, theirs is way better than xbox's
No but you are saying the game is balanced which is far from the truth. And majority means people that I know from srk, nyc ec scene. The only reason new schoolers find it to be balanced is because they either never played games before this, or they did but never played seriously....I know what a balanced game is and this isn't it lmao.
Also I knew Sanford was gonna pick cammy. Supposedly "Dan" from Japan doesn't know that matchup...It technically is a bad match for Cammy...

pros who put tier list together consider sf4 pretty well balanced with mostly 5:5 and 6:4 matchups. you don't see zangief win tornies, doesn't mean he's not good. you don't see cammy and sakura because most tournies are arcade. evo is console and guess what, a cammy beat a ryu in the top 8. there are also players like tkd who are competitive with low tier like fuerte.
august arcadia tier has ken in C and mago tier has him is D but with F as bottom tier. counting only arcade character he is mid-low mid and with console character he is right in the middle.
no game with multiple characters can be perfectly balanced. sf4 is well balanced enough where everyone has a chance. sorry but you aren't winning this. like i said before, if you want a perfectly balanced game go play karate champ.
sf4 is actually more balanced because of damage scaling. most long combos are not hard. they are usually multiple basic combos chained together with fadc. even in this video the most difficult juggles would do very little damage without scaling. the simple ground combo ex hadoken fadc are the most damaging without scaling. instead of rewarding scrubs who got a lucky hit the game actually wants you to be smart and skillful throughout the match.

I don't hate the player in fact he is good but he is not doing combos (I mean most of them are not).
these combos are all very gd yh but the damage is pathetic. wot i doint like about this SF is theres not really much reward for pulling off technical combos. I prefer to keep all my super and ultra stocks so they take most damage during a fight rather than waste them all on one combo that takes pitiful damage. why waste 2 stocks of super to do a EX dash cancel only to get on a additional dragon punch or a weakened down ultra? stupid system. SF 3rd strike is where its at
@hitjohnyup well, technically, place of birth doesn't travel is the blood. so you could say his heritage is 3/4 japan but he is american. Just wanted to point that out. Yea SF is messed up that way, but you know whats really dumb? the fact that the fighters have to travel the world over and over to compete in tournaments. Just had to throw that out there
ok 1st off, ive seen you do a ken combo thats not even at all possible. you did a lp mp hp combo simultaneously, now ken has a target combo which is mp an hp which makes a 2 hit but u cant add lp to it. i can do every combo on this vid but the ip mp hp is impossible, it cant be done so imstarting to smell sumthing fishy
My statement wouldn't make sense if it was "you're", learn proper grammar. "Your" might have been a tad more acceptable but you sufficed just fine. I love how witty you can be with the whole "gay" thing. I think that's an improvement for you. You thought of something only 8 or 9 out of 10 people would say.
They are both exactly the same. I have it for each console and they are no different from each other. If you choose to play with the controller and not a stick or the MadCatz control pad, then go with the PS3 version as the D-Pad on the PS3 controller is much much better for SF4 than the 360 one. My opinion obviously but most people I know completely agree.

"new schoolers" are not the ones who find it balanced. it is the pros who make the match up lists. the game is balanced when pretty much all the match ups are either 6:4 or 5:5 with may be 4 or 5 7:3. you obviously doesn't know what a balance game is or you just have stupid expectations. cammy is only 4:6 against ryu and sanford won it easily
lol I didn't lose this cause a majority agrees with me that have been playing Street Fighter for just as long, or actually longer, than me competitively... Balanced is balanced and right now the most balanced (and most played in japan RIGHT now) is Tekken 6. A balanced game means that EVERYONE can compete regardless of where they are put in the tiers.
lol then u don't know your tiers. Latest tier list has Ken in D which is right because they nerfed him pretty hard for no having a repeated run like in 3S.
Capcom hasn't produced a balanced game since Alpha 2. Sorry but you aren't winning this. They mainly catered to new school players even though old school seems to still run things...
this is only a combo video not a " how to fight in a real fight" video..
its true its mostly useless to use all EX in a combo because the dmg will be low.
he want only to show us what amazing combos he found out with the chars.
some are very good and simple to do but other with 15+ combo are useless and very hard.
Actually damage scaling IS fine. It balances the game and has absolutely nothing to do with responding to the casual gamers. It doesn't make the game less hardcore. Whats so challenging about learning 2-3 combos and doing them over and over again winning a match with 2 combos or even worse 1 combo in whole? I can't understand you logic here. Please explain.
They made long combos into super DMs and/or hyper DMs (known as "ultras" in this) impractical and wasteful to force players to be more economical as well. It's to discourage people who try to learn super long combos and just pound the hell out of the opponent with one long chain. The damage reduction does seem a little bit steep, though...
Flashy, yeah... but as the explanation states, not practical. The damage scaling mechanic in the game means that these are the least damaging combos in the game...
Meaning that if you want to deal some pain, smash someone's face in with a good, basic power combo. These are awesome for show playing or cleaning up an opponent, though.
from what i can see 3 things:
Super
the shory reppa : one regular shoryuken followed immediately by a flame shoryuken
ultra :
if the is jumping : a shinryuken
if the person is standing(or kneeling) : a regular shoryuken(one hand) followed immediately by a series of kicks a la shippu jinrai kyaku and finished by a shinryuken(the other hand)

Nice combo's, I can do some on the xbox, bu especially the 10+ combo's (without ultra or super) are hard for me... I just wanna mention that you can time your ultra with ken better, while juggling. If you're a tad l8er, you can do the entire combo, in stead of just the finishing hit.
saw r first vid and now this... its really not hard doing these combos and at the same time its not necesarry cz half these attacks dont take mch energy away.... so again dude you are not that gd... and i alreadi no ima get thumbs down bu their gonna b from ppl that suck in this game...
7:3 Not 6,4 lol. And sanford won cause sanford guessed right everytime, and dan's lack of console character experience fucked him over.
And I really don't feel like repeating myself because you obviously do not get it... You keep bringing the same point which isn't beating my point.
In SF4, you see almost the same characters winning, even tho it's been a while since a sagat won but ryu, rufus, boxer, and once in a while a sim, bison player win tournies. I've never heard of a Cammy, or a sakura winning... Have you?
Lemme also ask you this, do you play competitively or casually?
Seems the best thing to do is hit them with good short combos whenever you can, and not use supers and hypers/"ultras" in combos. I think the best combo in this movie is at 5:25 to 5:47. Seems like it wouldn't exactly work in actual play, but something shorter would be good, like 6:03 to 6:21.
Not really, because as you can see, it's often an almost guaranteed hit. If you have a full super bar and a partially full Revenge meter, there's a good chance your opponent is worn down, such that the extra damage from the Ultra might be just enough to finish them off.
I don't get it. Why did a tonne of those feature Focus Charges on downed opponents? I'm quite certain they can't be made guaranteed.
Therefore, it's silly to use them in combo vids like that. Anyone can show vids of themselves racking up damage by chaining combos together with Focus Charges.
with ken - focus attack then taunt taunt. when opponent is about to hit the ground, ex shoryuken (make sure opponent hits the air) and dash cancel forward into ultra. ultra will connect full screen and you'll look like a badass in tournaments.
huhummm.... its pretty good. but this is all you can do for the old game. the combos are hard to pull off. the results is less than impressive damage. the game limit is just unacceptable. tekken is slow. now BLAZBLUE!!!! now that is what a fighter should be.!
Unless ur name is ryu, most matches ARE NOT 6/4. Let's see, how many Ryu/Sagat/Akuma players are there compared to Vega, or guile? Get outta here, with the balance, Vega and Ken are so bad in this game its not even funny.
the problem isn't becuz it starts with simple moves. these combo's use massive amounts of super and ultra meters with little dmg. the guy who posted the vid has said even though u can use them in a match it's not practical.
Two good combos using an EX focus dash generally does more damage than one super combo. Of course, doing one long combo with two EX focus dashes generally gets to be so many hits that it doesn't do that much damage.
It's a call to make, but being able to do both is generally valuable, and I feel it actually makes the game a littler deeper. Also, it's generally a good idea to keep two bars to set up an Ultra, as most of them are easily blocked., but that's just my thoughts there.
@hitjohnyup slight confusion. If his dad is half japanese...doesn't mean his dad is also half asmerican? and ken was born in america. wouldnt make him 1/2 american and 1/2 japanese in hertitage?
i think he's just trying to illustrate what you can do with a nailed focus attack, and this vid is not rubbish, he's doing a lot of complicated cancels and shit. what combo vids have you made buddy?
I don't give a flying F**K what ANYONE says! this vid is the SHIZ! sure they aren't for practical use... but I see a lot of things that can be used... the only reason why they aren't for practical use is because you could just start blocking...
I love the ken! I'm a ryu guy when it comes to those two but ken is really impressive!
I think they put Ryu higher just because he has more ways to combo into his Ultra and for that fact alone, I think. Ken has better kicks and a better Tatsumaki Senpukyaku I think. And Ryu has his great Hadokens. But yeah, it ultimately all comes down to player skill. GT-MvC2 V3NOM hit me up sometime.
@JiggleGiggles17 well imo i have much more control and with characters like makoto you need a fightstick to do some of the combos otherwise its almost impossible on a controller
Try some combos? What kind of insult is that? Who still uses the word lame? Why are you bringing up videos of yourself and web address? What does that have to do with anything?
However, if you are able to pull off these kind of combos on your enemy, not only are they demoralzing, but it shows your not to be takin lightly, but that just my opinon though.
arenoi14 - dont hate the player, hate the game. sf4 is an obvious downgrade in the series. also, if u never caught some1 with FA while they're trying a wakeup, you're rubbish,
These combos all seem to be able to be used in a real fight, but they're also so many hits that half of them shouldn't be used. (more hits=less damage due to damage reduction)
You do the cancels by using the focus attack (MP+MK) and then dashing forward/back while holding the buttons.

i've got a 25 hit combo with ken it;s easy it's jump heavy kick/ target combo / shorureppa/ and shinryuken not so hard!!!!!!!! PS it works best close to a wall
yea in a real fight you arnt going to be able to pull off these exactly like they show, It just doesnt happen if your playing against a n experienced fighter

even if you wait till the opponnent is near the ground it's a tricky timing thing. it's very difficult to time it so you'll be 100% successful.
I will never be able pull off those combos because i don't have superhuman dexterity and reflexes.
Seriously though, that shit was ridiculously ill...
i thinks its on a arcade stick on 360 controller you can do good combos but not such things, because you cant be that fast with the slow analog stick
It only takes you to land the first hit in a combo to do any of these combos. You're stuck in hitstun until they drop the combo or finish it.
actually, you can only do 3 unless you have a inf. super meter.
ex: Start with 5-meter. FADC#1 = 3 left. FADC#2 = 1left. Last SRK after FADC#2.
though complex, a great number of these combos are far from optimal due to damage scaling. Good practice for building dexterity in your hands tho.
Damn. Flashy combos indeed. I don't know how practical they'd be to use in a real match but if you could pull some of these off you get props.

they need to figure out a better way of damage scaling. because all the hard to do combos do as much damage as jump in heavy to sweep. :/
i have a stick but prefer the controller but it seems hard to configure the regular contoller while keeping your whole arsenal intact no ??

you can't do half of these in a real game because your super bar cant do two fadc's into ex hadoken.. most of these are pointless.

True, but I can understand why they did it. If it did do normal damage the round would be over and the game not that fun to play.

@JiggleGiggles17 in reality its about preference although arcade sticks are more durable and precise i personally use a pad and have n problem with any links
from what ive heard the xbox version is better. i dont even have the game so i dont know. i am trying to decide for xbox or ps3 . ps3 is too expensive though

first of all the shoryuken that will be fadc have to be a counter.
second is just timing. it's rather random to just get the right frame to hit.

If you watched the last part of the video, he says he uses a standard controller and game pad. So, no arcade stick.
It's called an EX cancel. Hold medium kick and medium punch and press forward twice, right after the dragon punch hits.
Ken is pretty flashy in this particular street fighter.

You don't have this game, do you? Every character can do a "Black Power Attack", called Focus Attacks.

this gen the console break so easily excluding the wii. my ps3 supposidly over heated but i only play for 20 minutes.
Gief takes about no damage from these combos where most other characters would have 50% of theirs shaved off, damn.
I like Tekken, but damn, ever since I got SSFIV I'm loving that a lot more than Tekken 6 I must say.
Don't hate cause the combos are impractical.
Look at the creativity and difficulty of the combo.
