the song: "zenith" by cj bolland. you'll probably also love "tower of naphtali," "obsidian," and "con spirito" and probably most of the album "electronic highway" which this song comes from. also check out the albums "4th sign" and "analogue theatre" from the same artist. and why don't these kinds of videos ever specify that they change the system direction? crazy combos but...
How fast do you need to input the motions in SF3 OE compared to SSF4? I can do almost every Ryu combo in SSF4, but seems to have a lot of trouble even with the easiest combos in SF3 OE with Ryu.
Holy Shit! This is defintely one of my favorite versions of Street Fighter. And Ryu has the best (And most powerful super in the game "Shin Shouryuu Ken"). Damn, I wish I could play like that. :o)
oh by tha way,i tested it out some Ryu's combos are that really works on arcade version in few weeks ago. some other combos are hard to pull off that really needs to work on it to play in different way around to success.
When you do enough hits in a single combo, you dizzy the other character. That's what the red meter that fills up and says "stun" is for when it's full. They can't block, parry, or attack until they recover from it, hence if you keep hitting them after dizzying them, the combo counts as one long combo.
Pretty. Kudos for the time and effort in nailing down these combos. However, Shoto's are the bread and butter of all Street Fighter games, and when you've seen one amazing shoto combo, you've seen them all. There should be more variety in SF videos that show off epic combos with other characters such as Dudley, Makoto, Oro or Alex... Characters that take a little more skill to perfect. :)
When I watch some combo videos like this, I enjoy them even if I dont play the games much, simply because of the great presentation (music, editing, etc.)
Ryu's awesome. It's kinda funny how people always pronounce his name wrong though. People think it's pronounced the way it looks, like rai-you,but it's actually pronounced ree-you. I love his combos
I think the reason why it continues is the Stun gauge. It allows a combo to continue even after the opponent hits the ground. This is because they are in a dizzy state and cannot do anything. This allows a combo to continue until they are once again knocked to the ground, or out of dizzy state.
Dude, if you can actually do this stuff, then you are a SF GOD. You're freakin' incredible. And if you didn't do this, then you have insane programming skills. Either way, you're good.
+Shin Akuma I'm pretty sure that your opponent needs to be in a dizzy state for alot of those juggles to work. also the timing is very strict for these combos.
if ur refering to how they bounce off the walls with the "donkey" kick that ryu does.. it IS 3rd strike.. only off of EX-kick tho its one of the few moves that make the opponent bounce allowing you to connect another combo most of these combos are only off of stuns
@ZaCTHERippeR199o SFxT- i believed is gonna be around least 35 on the rosters. i rumored about that they might added up to least "120 characters" from previous fighting game series as DLC. so let us keep crossing our fingers for that one. :) SF3-it's tha same from previoius game but u go unlock special character,Gill when you preordered it.
@@kingkrispy5289 it's been a decade and the OP doesnt exist bro LOL. If I had to guess, the OP was talking about escaping mid-combo or asking if the combos were true even tho combo counter is showing? I dunno man.
Yes, but some of them have variations, making it 2 for certain people. Alex for example has a super throw, that if you combo it with the turnaround hit, does a different super than if you get them from the front. Others have similar variations on certain supers.
@blueblaze8000 No, it's funny because I already said that 1) These combos are impractical to use in a real match, and 2) This video was out almost 5 years ago.
Nasty bits of combos there.. Looking forward to playing 3S. But, SSF4 will hold me for now.. (True SF fans know how to work around differences and enjoy each installment.)
I should mention too that for true human ryu combos ex moves are a must one of my favorites in using the ex back kick and going right into an uppercut . if you get the first hit off properly the uppercut can't be parried.
When I see videos like this I'll never understand shoto hate. Ryu is awesome in all his incarnations. looking forward to becoming a real Student of the game when third strike online edition comes out the 23. Shotos FTW
My Guess would be that the guy is doing it in VS mode with the handicap altered so that he starts with less life. The handicap will make you start with less life instead of increasing or decreasing the damage ratio on your character.
i have a question...in most of the sf3 combos i have seen they try to make sure the person is stunned before they start their juggle so my question is this: when a person is stunned in the middle of a juggle does it change any properties as to how they can be juggled or is it just to continue the combo once they have maxed out their characters juggle capability.
@gt22 Most of the juggles are post stun juggles meaning you can only do them on an airborne opponent who will be dizzy when they land. As for the scaling It's not easy to stun someone in 4 so I at least like to get something out of it afterwards.
@lecobra427 These combos require a really strict timing and many of them could be character specific. Just because their possible doesn't mean everyone can do them :P
@radujko its on ps2/xbox as street fighter anthology, or you can get a cps3 emulator and use ps3sixaxis, to play it on you computer and use your ps3 controller
damn i wish i knew that a year ago. i picked up the ps2 version instead. but bad news, i just read that microsoft is cutting off live for original xbox titles in april. keep playing, you've got one month left.
ryu in 3rd strike is the most fun he's ever been imo
Yup
Indeed so. Looks like sf6 ryu may be promising as well.
Can't believe this was 10 years ago. Time flies by fast.
yup. never gets old,buddy!
Can't believe this was 16 years ago. Time really do flies by so fast.

This year it’ll be 18 year’s old,that’s crazy
For anyone watching this for the first time, the video starts at 0:40, skip the rest.

these are stunning combos man
loved them
I love the music dude...and the combos are fricken awesome.
Holy Shit!

Damn, I wish I could play like that. :o)
Man, You can play like this, it is just a lot of practice to perform a many combos XD
Cool man! You rock with Ryu! I never seen anyone perform crazy combos like that in my entire life!
oh by tha way,i tested it out some Ryu's combos are that really works on arcade version in few weeks ago. some other combos are hard to pull off that really needs to work on it to play in different way around to success.
What's the name of the music playing during this vid?
Cj zenith
An absolute classic! This and SF? Ryu Exhibition (Evo2k9+OHN8 Edition) made me a Ryu main.
I'm enjoy watching your video man.
Thank you
dude that 30-hit combo was sick as hell!
This will be good to practice now that I bought the anniversary edition
original, ground-braking, artful !!! =D you rock, dude !

I see that Gouken's ultra is from Ryu's super in 3rd strike

@Pesemerga it's a combo exhibition, not meant to be used in real matches.. just taking the game to it's limit
oh this song was called "zenith" by C.J. Bolland.
I know Akuma has the least amount of health; I didn't know that crouching increases the damage taken. Thanks for the info.
Hello, I see this first 2008/2009 and it's Nostalgie for me, see this after Years! 👍
@Shauddi Akuma has the lowest life and those first 3 hits on Remy got him when he was crouching, which adds 25% more damage.
I love his combos
wow wow WOW THATS AMAZING BRO AMAZING!! BEST PLAYER IVE EVER SEEN WOW 5/5 OR MAYBE 1000/1000 NICE JOB NICE INTRO ITS PERFECT
nicely done! cool music two.
Very Good and Crazy Combos!
I think the reason why it continues is the Stun gauge. It allows a combo to continue even after the opponent hits the ground. This is because they are in a dizzy state and cannot do anything. This allows a combo to continue until they are once again knocked to the ground, or out of dizzy state.
why am I interested in this now
Sick a$$ combos man so good
because these combos are frame specify. it is nearly impossible do it in a real match.
@harito650 Play Station 2 or CPS3 (wich is now emulable ;), the emulator is called Final Burn Alpha).
I did not know my favorit chariter could do all that. Nice video
Dude, if you can actually do this stuff, then you are a SF GOD. You're freakin' incredible. And if you didn't do this, then you have insane programming skills. Either way, you're good.
ths is tool assisted i think mate! ive seen this before and they said it was :P and it would be done on a stick not pad probs :P
@V3NOMXIII lol. dont worry, they have some of them expert combo strageties in the mission mode when you pick this game up. enjoy it.
Agreed, don't know why parry system was taken out in place for focus.
Great video. Hope this game gets released for both xbl and psn.
That is insane. Gotta try that. Ryu is badass
@anirudhkrishnamani you can look up how to download it for the pc... that or local little game shops.
@anirudhkrishnamani but whats better super street fighter 4 or 3rd strike???
2:14 - 2:30
MOTHER OF GOD
Wow this is great, really opens up the game.
no this is the best one before Street Fighter 4 came out this was like the best
Man the music is epic! Can you tell me the name of it? Also great combos
this is awesome its near impossible to pull of in a real match so dont complain
@anirudhkrishnamani yeah i think they took a step back with SSFIV. Still love it though.
Why am I unable to juggle with normal moves in my game ?
are there different versions of Third strike ?
if so , which one is this ?
street fighter 3 3rd strike on ps2 version
blazianbones99 i got the ps2 version
+Shin Akuma that's good. you gotta practice really hard like this. it take allot of time to connects it.
+Shin Akuma I'm pretty sure that your opponent needs to be in a dizzy state for alot of those juggles to work. also the timing is very strict for these combos.
+Blazian Bonez does this have the dipswitches. because these look complicated.
I'd be more impressed if it were live play rather than practice, but still some slick timing, good work man!
if ur refering to how they bounce off the walls with the "donkey" kick that ryu does.. it IS 3rd strike.. only off of EX-kick tho
its one of the few moves that make the opponent bounce allowing you to connect another combo
most of these combos are only off of stuns
man these combo videos look too good to be true
nice man!!!i knew 1 day thell prove ryu is a god!!
Can anyone tell what the combo is that ryu uses on alex at 1:57?
It looks like J.HP, S.HP, DP, Shin hadoken? WHatever it is, it does HUGE stun.
@ZaCTHERippeR199o SFxT- i believed is gonna be around least 35 on the rosters. i rumored about that they might added up to least "120 characters" from previous fighting game series as DLC. so let us keep crossing our fingers for that one. :)
SF3-it's tha same from previoius game but u go unlock special character,Gill when you preordered it.
@Pesemerga Well, you can't DI in SF3 so if the 1st hits connect, the other would as well.
holy shit I want the context of this reply..
@@kingkrispy5289 it's been a decade and the OP doesnt exist bro LOL.
If I had to guess, the OP was talking about escaping mid-combo or asking if the combos were true even tho combo counter is showing? I dunno man.
@@luigiluigix2 Oh shit you’re alive, and Ye I guessed, I was (kinda am) still into smash so I recognized the DI, thanks for giving context kinda
hi blazianbones99, as do the combos EX? and the super Shoryuken? I would be most helpful if you told me. I beat GILL.
Yes, but some of them have variations, making it 2 for certain people. Alex for example has a super throw, that if you combo it with the turnaround hit, does a different super than if you get them from the front. Others have similar variations on certain supers.
You can only attack as fast as the recovery time of the move you're doing. Unless you can program it to completely ignore the resolve of an attack?
whats the name of this track...please let us know the music u use in ur windows :D... does wonders for people like me....
@blueblaze8000 No, it's funny because I already said that 1) These combos are impractical to use in a real match, and 2) This video was out almost 5 years ago.
well if only I could
Dlive Wilson get your practice on, buddy
ive got this package from playstation play but i dont know were Gill is ? oO were can i find him ?
Nasty bits of combos there.. Looking forward to playing 3S. But, SSF4 will hold me for now.. (True SF fans know how to work around differences and enjoy each installment.)
dude, ur the shit bro, i cant pull off combos like that even at my best
Those are some mad skills.
@billy8181
They will release SF 3rd strike on PS3 by next month so wait for it :D
you make good combos.
@kenmastersmaster
It's called having a programmable controller. And yes, these combos are POSSIBLE Just not PRACTICAL
I should mention too that for true human ryu combos ex moves are a must one of my favorites in using the ex back kick and going right into an uppercut . if you get the first hit off properly the uppercut can't be parried.

wow o.0'
WOW O.O'
too bad these can't be done in regular battles, the timing, the hits, it's amazing dude 5/5
street fighter + drum n' bass = great!
SF3 3rd strike was the best SF ever made.
i hope they do another 2D SF in the future.
Capcom you are the BEST...!
i have a question...in most of the sf3 combos i have seen they try to make sure the person is stunned before they start their juggle so my question is this: when a person is stunned in the middle of a juggle does it change any properties as to how they can be juggled or is it just to continue the combo once they have maxed out their characters juggle capability.
Cool video. Xtra cool for not using Nickleback for the song.
I never played or heard anything about Street Fighter 3, what console is it for?
@gt22 Most of the juggles are post stun juggles meaning you can only do them on an airborne opponent who will be dizzy when they land. As for the scaling It's not easy to stun someone in 4 so I at least like to get something out of it afterwards.

@boyrune4 haha!!! but i do love that some of these wars go for months!!!
this is the best looking sf game i've ever seen! What system is this on? If its on playstation ill go buy one right now
you have to make them dizzy first. watch the video again
@ZaCTHERippeR1990 yep it is
Yeah your right Zac theese pplz lol very true! akuma ken and ryu players online but yeah sf4 has tons of combinations with the focus and Ex in there!
@radujko its on ps2/xbox as street fighter anthology, or you can get a cps3 emulator and use ps3sixaxis, to play it on you computer and use your ps3 controller
Very nice !
damn those combos are dirty!
damn i wish i knew that a year ago. i picked up the ps2 version instead. but bad news, i just read that microsoft is cutting off live for original xbox titles in april. keep playing, you've got one month left.
Why is it that all sf3 combo vids i see are always done when the opponent is stunned?
Helps with the juggles
also XaN1188 do you know how to cancel animations and do crazy ass combos like this
GEEGEE!
how'd you get those super fast stuns though? o.O
Auto stun, helps with the combos
well, whoever the guy that made the video is, it rocks!
oh ya and that slide move that akuma does at 4:12 , iv been trying to figure out that move for a long time
does anyone know how to do that??
That was Insane
@panasonic0102 Thanks buddy!!!
I agree. I feel a lot more excitement learning third strike than sf4.
must have taken ages to string the hits together!
what version of S3 is this? (timing Differences)
