From 19:20 - 20:20, 1 minute of one of the most important concepts to grasp in jiu jitsu. I'm just a beginner but always felt this is the way to think from the very start. I often get caught pursuing a move that's not there anymore, while missing opportunities that open and close all the time during the roll.
Me and a buddy worked on some of this stuff last night (we were the only two that showed up to class XD) and found that there seems to be a missing 4th option at 25:50: my opponent uses both of his arms to push my right leg down out of his armpit, scoops my leg and just shoves it over him. He didn't sit up at all, just pushed my leg over him and I ended up in a very disadvantageous position. I also almost had my ankle broken practicing ankle locks so all in all it was not a good night for me XD

That "just sit back" moment around 19:10 when he ended up in the same position as the forward roll blew my mind.
