I started on crappy design
Robin, we NEED the story about how the drinks fucked up your nerves. Honestly, how did that happen? I need to know
Really. There are no warnings about the slightest chance of adverse side effects. You probably never heard of the channel but on TheWolfePit the host, Larry, became wheelchair bound after (I think) consuming tuna. Something in it caused a chain reaction which left him... not his usual self. It's been years so I'm not sure about his status. Nerve damage from an alcoholic isn't too farfetched. A cousin of mine drank vodka for the first time last year and his throat swelled shut.
Honestly that made me freak out a bit when he said it, _because I don't know if my frick'n soda's safe anymore_
6:10 this is made to reduce the flow of rainwater into drainage or along the surface (potential of flooding). You need areas, where water is „stored“ and you eigther make just a poolsthat is empty for like 300days a year, or you use these „rainwater delaying starge“ for something useful in sunny waether, like a playground
Where I grew up, we had a sizable island in the middle of the river that regularly flooded. Since they couldn't do anything else with it, they made a park out of it and just made sure everything was flood proof.
The airline safety card one is basically trying to say: "If you look out the emergency exit window and see broken glass/metal or fire, or that water has risen above the level of the door, do not go through that exit." It doesn't make a lot of sense when you isolate that picture like that, but in context, most people can figure out what it's trying to say.
Sure, it would probably make more sense to have that instruction written out in text, but safety cards must be designed to be universal and user-friendly, so that in an emergency, the most people have a shot of utilising that information to escape a crashed airplane alive. You can't write safety instructions in every language and fit them onto an A4-sized card, and even if you could, some people can't read at all, and those who can aren't gonna read a wall of text, hence the use of pictograms instead.

At 5:00, that is a wheelchair elevator. The small ramp up to it flips up to block the back, and you can see the inside walls are separate from the outside
I was hoping someone would point that out. We've used those before for a wheelchair bound friend - they're slow, but they work!

The elevator is not the thing out of place it is the 6-inch step to get to the damn thing.
Even the kid on the crusader box looked disappointed in the product's poor naming

I mean this is a crusader and with how crusades go it should always be scary
4:20 Those appear to be flight safety instructions for passengers. Look out of the window to see if the surroundings are safe. Beware of debris (I think), fire and the fact the aircraft may have landed in water. These mostly apply to emergency landings.

I think you mean chaos and *discord* but yeah, I've kinda thought similarly before too, lol. Mostly while complaining about how obviously flawed some random design is. But of course that's always easy for me to think as someone encountering the problem, and not as someone designing it without foreseeing the circumstance... but sometimes it really is an obvious problem, like that chair in this video that has hollow legs open on top and closed on bottom 🤢

About the arrow diagram that ends in the the Mango drink.
The 'crappy' part is that the left path leads you to the drink overriding the 'are you 21+?' requisite. So, this advertising is saying that you can drink what i assume is an alcoholic beverage even if you are underage, by using the left loophole.

My dad has bought items before that supposedly can be put in or over fires before and a few of them came spray painted for some reason. . .Fire removes spray paint and other sorts of decorations like that. . .Kinda just melts and or foams up and eventually falls off. Apparently it's supposed to help prevent rust or something?
I'd guess it was galvanized and it's the zinc coating peeling off, but who knows.

the picture in the thumbnail is actually from my primary school, its been like that for years until now, and that is a pretty recent picture because they repainted the school the orange like a year or 2 ago

2:57 this isn’t crappy design, it’s actually pretty clever design, that impala logo is intentionally botched to interlink with the Canadian flag G, and it’s two normal American flags mirrored with a clipping mask shaped like an N. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with this. The flags aren’t incorrect. The impala logo isn’t even botched, the mid matched font is intentional to emphasize the region they operate in (which is informative, and informative logos are good for growth!) most logos use a similar tactic to share key details about their services. The LTD. font is often REQUIRED to be that specific font so it doesn’t count.

That is a safety card for when looking out through the emergency door of an airplane, if there is wreckage, fire, or water, don’t open the door as it could cause injury or death to yourself or other passengers
At least the silhouette of the icosahedron Octagon uses in their logo is an octagon. Still doesn't make sense to use an icosahedron though.
