      I’m happy for you. Sams are such sweet dogs, with tons of energy. Be sure to physically exercise them daily. They need it, as their DNA made them working dogs, with whole bunches of energy.
      Sams have been in my life for nearly 40 years. I’ve personally owned 2 over the past 19 years. They quickly steal your heart.
      Thank you for enjoying our channel. We’ll get back to creating new videos once I get a new computer in around a month and a half.

      Puppies don’t need to be walked as far. You can go a bit easier on her. Once she hits around 4-6 months old, you can bring on a bit longer walks. She’ll start demanding her walks and will learn your schedule. They’re very schedule oriented dogs.

      Yeti is very sweet. When we’d film in the evenings, he’d have plenty of activity and is more calm. He always loves filming.

      You’re very welcome. I understand that you’re super excited to be on TH-cam. I was too when we first started. It took Yeti and I 4 months to get to 100 subs, after begging and pleading with family and friends. TH-cam is a lot of fun and it’s a lot of fun. It isn’t easy, Lily Li. Hundreds of millions of people, possibly more, go on TH-cam thinking they’re gonna be a giant hit 3 videos in. I know, because I was one of those people with that impression. When video number 3 hit 10 views, I was crushed. But, I kept uploading, kept focusing, kept learning and kept with it.
      Only 3% of TH-camrs make it to 10,000 subscribers or more and I would love to see you in those ranks. I’m almost there and will be within a few months.
      I’d recommend you read books on TH-cam. A great one that has really helped me, is Brian G Johnson’s ‘Tube Rank Ritual.’ Join his Facebook group of the same name (but never post sub 4 sub on there either). Subscribe to Brian G Johnson, Nick Nimmin’s TH-cam channels on how to grow your base. I did and it’s been super helpful for me.
      I’ve had Yeti’s Place for a year and a half and I am currently working on editing video #104. Best wishes.

    Is training a samoyed really difficult

    • @YetisPlace
      @YetisPlace  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes. They don’t respond well to boring sit, stay, come, down commands. You need to allow them to work while training those commands.

      I would get a crate. Dogs consider small spaces to be homey. I would use the crate for overnight, or if you’re not at home. Once they’re a bit older and after potty trained, you can see if they can be trusted to not be in their crates overnight. Crates are used for their protection from cords, plants, ruining your shoes, furniture, etc. when you’re not home and unable to watch them.
      When you own a Sammy, they easily become bored and will eat those things. You should walk them a lot and play with them, in an interactive fashion, to prevent doggie boredom. Crates are not cruel, they are helpful.

      Thank you. Sammies are beautiful, but they’re much more than their beauty. They’re hard working, extremely energetic dogs, who need a lot of activity. If they don’t get the activity, they get bored and become destructive. Quimby, a family member’s Samoyed and one of Yeti’s best friends, is 13 years old. Quimby still eats and damages his house.
