Hi FC I just invested in the Sony ZVE 10 and it will be arriving soon with the Kit lens. The Sony lenses are fightfully expensive and I would like some advice on a Maximum of 2 very affordable lense types that can work on this camera without breaking the bank. Do Ur LUT packs work on the footage of this camera if I shoot RAW as it is only 8-bit colour I believe. My intertests are: Architectural and Real Estate videos (interior & exterior), Food photography and videos for making food (Jamie Oliver style videos - indoors), (I hear these are good - 24 -to 70mm + 18 to 35mm etc.) product commercials (indoors), 2 person interviews (indoors) and neighborhood walk-abouts for RE. Please advise. What is Ur opinion of the 7 Artisans brand of lenses from China. Thank U in advance.
@@NurturingFertility I see. It was the same settings that I mentioned in the video. 24 fps, 1/50 shutter speed, f1.8 lens. A lot of the look has to do with the lighting. This video may help th-cam.com/video/QeUZVc-iIlg/w-d-xo.html
@@FulaanCreative ah, okay I have just the kit lens for now. Guess I'll just use all the other settings you mentioned until I invest in another lens. Will check out the lighting video too :)
Thanks for the informational video. There are some rumors that Sony zv e20 will be released, is that true. And should I wait for Sony zv e20 or should I buy Sony zv e10?
thanks for the video. I have a question. In my sony zv e10 I don’t have the option of 24 fps, only 25 fps. Do you know why or what I have to do in order to have also the option of 25 fps?
When using the ZVE10 as a webcam, I learned that the supplied power brick is junk as the battery will still drain while the camera is plugged in. ( Using a hdmi capture card ) The battery will also continue to drain if you use the usb connection directly to your laptop/pc power as a webcam. I learnt through trial and error that plugging the camera into a powered usb hub it will stay powered up all day ( I use the one I got for ky steam deck ) Use case : WFH all day video call for the past 2 years
My friend I swear I have watched tons of videos and most of them think we have a master degree in filmmaking, your one is super clear and simplified. Thanks bro, but my friend why my zv e10 doesn’t have 24f it has 25 does it make much difference?
It is shutter speed, regardless of the 180-degree shutter rule. The 180-degree shutter rule is a guideline used in filmmaking to create natural-looking motion blur by setting the shutter speed at roughly double the frame rate (e.g., 1/48 or 1/50 sec at 24 fps). This gives motion blur similar to what the human eye perceives, which is why it's so commonly followed in traditional filmmaking. However, even if you don't follow the 180-degree shutter rule, **shutter speed** still controls motion blur. If you increase the shutter speed beyond the 180-degree rule (say, 1/100 or 1/200 at 24 fps), you'll get less motion blur, and fast-moving objects may appear jittery or "staccato." Conversely, using a slower shutter speed (like 1/30 or 1/15 at 24 fps) will increase motion blur, making motion look more smeared or dreamy. So, while the 180-degree rule helps achieve a natural cinematic look, the relationship between shutter speed and motion blur remains the same whether or not you're adhering to that rule. If you’d like to provide evidence to contradict this feel free.
@@platypusfeathershe's right. You can get motion blur in 24, 30, and 60fps. Long as you follow 180 shutter rule. It's not determined by frame rate alone.

If you are asking about the slow motion part it was 60 frames per second and shutter speed set at 120 then the footage was slowed down by 40% in post.

Can you put the luts into the camera? Like into my r10? Or is it only post? How can I use a lut if I'm doing streams?
With the r20 you can only add luts in post. I'm nit sure if you can do it with livestream software or not though.

How do you get the cinema look besides 24 fps? Like black bars on zv-e10?
