quick tip if anyone is using a headphone splitter just buy a USB to 3.5mm jack dongle and it translates the audio via USVB giving you crisp clean audio!
Just built my PC recently within the last month. Got tired of being tied to a single platform, and wanted more control over my gaming in general. I don't have the whole desk setup yet, but my TV is more than suffficient and I actually like my setup minus being stuck at 120hz, but LG is rumored to make a 240hz OLED tv next year and that really peaks my interest.
I already have a set-up, but these videos are always a treat to see how others can create their own combos at budget prices much lower than I spent on mine to do the same thing, GAME!
A PC is obviously more versatile, but this will not run games at 120fps with high and ultra graphical settings, it's a budget build, and in gaming it can't compete. With everything else? If course, because the PS5 Pro is a gaming console, not a work station.
PS5 utilizes all of the same tech the PC scene does to achieve these numbers (AI upscaling and whatnot) so I'd take a PC that can run the games native or with some support and have the benefits of an open platform then to buy into a closed platform
Dude I’d take a pc any day, with a ps5 you can run 120fps, but at the cost of extreme downscaling to the point where you are not even running your monitor’s resolution at all.
Tip: if you want to up the sound quality as well as the mic quality for the IEMs get a USB soundcard. It'll cost you about $10-$15 and it's definitely worth the upgrade
i also did a ~$600 PC set up this year. I got a GMKtec mini PC that runs a Ryzen 5 with integrated Radeon graphics. I found a 1440p monitor on sale, and got a Rainy75 keyboard. Rocking the same mouse. Pretty good for light gaming, but I mainly did this set up for productivity. Replaced my TV, and now I play base PS5 through the monitor
oh christ, i just owned a mini pc system exactly like yours. gmktec, ryzen 5 with integrated graphics. it was okay for light gaming, as you said, like indie games and side-scrollers but it crashed ultra hard whenever i'd run any game with 3d spaces. halo 1 with low settings still crashed a lot.
@@ladyofthedarkmoonlotus hmm yeah i could see halo mcc crashing, or xbox emulation being iffy. "games for windows" were also poorly optimized. which way were you playing? I play a lot of 2D games, retro style games, and 90s games. I was able to play Star Wars Battlefront 1/2 from 2004/5, and halo ce can be compared to them graphically. i have a console for AAA games, but on PC I'm satisfied playing modded Doom (1993) and Diablo 2 (2000) in 1440p at 90fps
It's awesome to come to a computer build video on TH-cam and not have someone YELLING at me from behind their camera. You are a much-welcomed breath of fresh air in the computer community. Thank you!!
Tbh you could expand your budget just like 50-100$ and get on par, if not better graphics than the ps5 pro and you'd save that massively in online gaming and "shady" gaming
I suggest using the Earpods as an excellent upgrade over those IEMs. Also those splitters are always static filled, better yet get a USB to 3.5mm for better performance
I absolutely love your budget builds. It reminds me that you don't need to spend a fortune to enjoy pc gaming ❤ Regarding the earphones I would suggest you buying a longer jack cord
I'm a music producer from VN. About the IEM you better go with Kz ZS10 Pro 2 version, it has mic - 1 Magnetic driver and 2 Balance drivers and pretty cheap. It's an old model but it better than ZSN model at everything (I use it when im outside and have to give a quick soundcheck to my client)enough bass when still give you a repatively flat frequency of sound. On top of that you get 4 physical switchs to change the sound in your IEM. And don't use noname spliter. it will cause you more trouble than what it can solve I've learned it a lot of time in my work. ... Great video as always, really wish you do a 500 - 700 usd budget pc with the new B580. Cheers!
That sound is often called a ground feedback loop (not sure if it's technically called something else.) Just like most forms of power, audio has a positive and negative signal (powers the headphones and all thay). the signal from the headphone side is back feeding into the signal for the microphone. Causing a hiss, that could be from the cable or the jack itself. Either way your splitting power andddd probably not the best wire gauge being used for that header anyway.
to be honest you couldve upgraded your pc and left out the monitor becasue if you think about it the PS5 comes with a PC (the PS5 itself) and an input device (the console) it doesnt come with no screen or display
This is for anyone to answer.. what CPU, mobo would you go for if you were building a brand new office pc for someone with onboard graphics? I've built a dozen gaming pcs but not sure on the budget end office setups
heyy now that high performance handhelds like rog ally x are out, could you make a comparison between a 800 dollar pc and Ally , maybe steam deck if u can get one ?
I bought IEMS for $50 and I do like them because they don’t give me headaches after a long gaming session and the sound that they produce is more balanced and clearer because the bass isn’t as strong compared to my hyper x headset I have
In defense of the headphones, i have the zs10 pro's (which are really similar to the zsn's) and the mic sounds pretty good. I think it might be the fact that you are using the splitter that makes the mic sound so bad. Love the vids btw.
I love your videos but honestly I would have liked 5x based on the appearance of cats! TH-cam needs more cats! Happy holidays and all the best to you and yours! 😊
Hey! I also used a splitter for my headphones and it the mic showed static noise, specially in Linux for some reason. I got a €10 Ugreen jack to USB adapter and I didn't notice any decreased quality compared to my mobo sound card, so that's a plus!
hello. i am not a apple fan but airpods wired have an amazing microphone for 20$ its actually amazing. i think it would maybe be a better choice than iems.
that microphone sounded awful but davinci totally fixed it, so I guess with these PC specs there shouldn't be any problem having it running on the background while gaming lol. Great job
I like the KZ ZSN because they're a cheap way to get great sound quality but their built-in mic is terrible lol. Luckily with IEMs you can get compatible boom mic-cables that just plug in, I'm using the TRN Redchain Plus but the Kinera Gramr is also compatible. There's also pretty decent gaming earphones like the Turtle Beach Battle Buds but the downside is once the cable starts to wear out you have to replace the whole thing. If you're a headphone kind of guy then the OneOdio A71M are fantastic for the price.
That computer isn't going to stand up against a PS5 pro in terms of performance. Assuming that you're using an RX 580 (You just said RX) that literally has half the performance of the PS5 pro graphics chip.
i saw your vids and got inspiration to build a used pc. got a gtx 1660ti for 40$ on fbmk and i got a dell inspiron 3880 i5 10th gen 12gb ram for 120$ (with free a monitor i didnt know it came with :)) and the pc runs great i mean blows my mind especially with stock psu , i get a new 750w soon thou lol
what shpuld i upo grade i have a 1030 gt and a ryzen 3 3200 g i think i need an upgrade and what parts should i upgrade i have about 500 dollars to do so ?
You need to put that 500 away & cope with what you have until you have around 800. Then you need a 4070 or a 3080 class gpu, up or down depending which of each you go with. Then, you need to save up another 800 for a top-you-can-find CPU & motherboard & DDR5 ram for that budget. Then you enjoy your actual worthwhile upgrade until you need a GPU & your new CPU/Mobo/Ram will last through that next GPU, which will also cost 800 & anything else is a waste of money, even if it is cheaper. Save your money. Anything under 70ti or 80 class gpu is not worth it. Right now, GPU upgrade will benefit you most & you might be able to get a 3080 or newer around 500 if you keep your eyes out on eBay mercari etc. But after you get a great GPU, your next step is a “future proof” mobo/ram/cpu. Then you will be ready for another GPU later - maybe 6000 series when nvidia does that, maybe higher end intel arc coming later (not yet announced/no release date for the one I am talking about - remains to be seen whether worthy/worth), or new AMD later (I don’t like them for my uses outside of playing games, still great for gaming though with good prices). If you want the truth, that is the truth: Get the best GPU you can, spend even more if you can, then sock away for the new mobo/cpu/ram. The BEST upgrade path for you. You do NOT want to do Mobo/ram/cpu first & be stuck with 1030.
buy some $5 games with the sponsor, green man gaming! greenmangaming.sjv.io/N9KAeO
The link isn't working for me, it just opens a tab and then closes
@sockman3288 I think it's expired
Do the cats come with the setup?
Same question. I hope they just follow the mouse
Hahahahahahahahhahahahhaa good one
Even better, they come free. (Pick one up from your neighbourhood)
That one u have to ask the cat distribution agent
Oh i wish
I thought I was hallucinating. Two vids in less than an hour? Can't knock the hustle Oz.
is one video AI Oz? I've never seen him post this much at one time. :)
btw the pc spec are a r5 3600 and rx 6600 1tb ssd
How hard would it have actually been for him to say this, after spending almost 2 minutes talking about the keyboard and effing mouse??
Don’t sleep on the monitor light. I bought one casually a few months back, has been the best thing I’ve ever bought for my desk
Just realized I am not tripping on acid-
Two videos back-to-back? That's awesome.
Been using greenman for 7+ years, love those guys! Thanks oz for the solid content, music choice, and vibes! Blessings!

Why spend more on an oled tv with high refresh rate instead of investing in a desk setup?
Maybe bro just wants a better TV ?

I just found this channel and i wanna say your voice is so smooth and calming 🙏🙏
The attackshark x6 pro is the mouse people should really buy
no. its not worth it
@Fekxyz-gr8hc show me a better mouse for 30€ then. I'll wait
Can this setup include the cat at the beginning
2 videos in 1 day!!!!
I have accidentally broken my cpu glass panel can you help me out.
Had me fooled, thought I was gonna get a cat with the setup aswell
Tip: if you want to up the sound quality as well as the mic quality for the IEMs get a USB soundcard. It'll cost you about $10-$15 and it's definitely worth the upgrade
The G502 Hero is going for $35 for who want a really good wired mouse.
or get the attack shark x3 or vxe r1 pro
Not for esports

i love and admire your content bro , keep up the good work .
What a coincidence, I just got this monitor a week ago and it's magnificent. Love it.
Amazing setup though Instead of the Logitech I'd use an attack shark x3
So happy you got the subscriber count going!
I absolutely love your budget builds. It reminds me that you don't need to spend a fortune to enjoy pc gaming ❤

make sure to use the same uspcaling and frame generation like the ps5
No way. I have a grey tortie cat too!
Nice setup and video
