So performance should be around your specs aswell. Absolutely usable and kinda cheap to obtain. Have a good Weekend and lots of gaming :)
      Maybe a few Games look like a painting due to hard Upscaling, but this is more of a special case i would say and bad optimization is a thing.

      @@fastshark-wq5cw Of course not everything in high. Let him have that feeling.
      A friend of mine refuses to Upgrade his 1070 for something newer. He is so used to blurry low fps that he says: it runs. I built him an R5600X System around release during the GPU nonsense. That was in 2020. He is quite rich(!) and plays Videogames in 80% of his freetime or on Steam Deck on the train (he loves Trains alot, he is also on the spectrum). But he only wants to upgrade the GPU when games aren't "running" anymore. The 5600X is now getting "too slow" for faster modern Cards, depending on games. He is still on 10 Years old 1080p 60hz office Monitors and has more gametime than anyone else in my surroundings.
      He humbles me alot of times when i tinker around with my R7600+RX6800 System that is not the fastest on the planet, but compared to his Setup, it is a Rocket. :D
      I just did not want to tell someone that the statement he made can't be true since i know better. (high settings in all modern games with an GTX 1660S. But remember: a lot of people play with blurry visuals and 25fps and are fine. While a lot of people were whining about performance (true) on e.g. Jedi Survivor, another friend on mine with R3600+1660S just played it on release and wasn't complaing a single time. :D)

    Some people online act like the thermaltake smart series of power supplies are bad, i've had a smart 430w for 6 years and has worked flawlessly. I even get regular voltage drops in my city and the occasional blackout, still no issues whatsoever. They are insanely good value for money.

    • @ProfessorTurtleGuy
      @ProfessorTurtleGuy 20 วันที่ผ่านมา +9

      Idk if you know what the psu tier list is, but if you don’t, it’s a list of psu ranking made by a group of people extremely knowledgeable about psu’s, and they put the thermaltake smart on tier F, the lowest tier, which is extremely bad, people generally don’t recommend anything under tier C, for that kind of wattage I’d recommend the msi a550bn, its tier c and around 50 bucks

    Reminder to everyone to use a surge protector that works for lightning as well.
    Video cards are super sensitive to lightning.
    My Brother's new autocad video card fizzled during a lightning storm, even though his house was never hit, rather power lines further away from his neighborhood. But it was enough feedback to fizzle his card.

      @user-nl7hw7uh1m 20 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Are there surge protectors that can handle lightning strikes?! My understanding was that your only option during a lightning storm is to unplug everything from the wall. Even turning your appliances off is not enough because lighting can jump through the few millimeters between a switch's contact pads. Am I wrong?

    • @Technocrat.

    • @Butziwackel
      @Butziwackel 19 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@user-nl7hw7uh1m you are right. You should unplug endangered devices before lightning occurs. Otherwise you should have at least a three step overvoltage protection beginning with house connection fuse, protection in your apartment fuse box and last a device protection, like those overvoltage protection plugs. Only the combination of all three will reduce the risk to the lowest possible level.

    I'd personally have gone for an RTX 2070 or 2080. The 2080 comes up for the same $160 pretty regularly and is not only faster but supports DLSS which is better than FSR.
    Motherboard was too expensive for a budget build, I'd have gotten a used B450 or B550 board for $40-60 instead and used the savings from that to upgrade the CPU to a Ryzen 5600 as it's quite a bit faster in CPU-limited games.
    Apart from that it's a pretty solid build. 👍

    Ahh, great build, but I wouldnt buy a Thermaltake PSU, since 2008 they are like playing russian roulette with the barrell fully loaded. Instead, I will just use the stock CPU cooler and put the extra dollars into a better PSU, lets say a beQuiet! or Corsair with more Ws. This will not only provide you a safer choice, but also more upgradable headroom for the future. Saying this, great video, loved the music and the chill vibes and great election of components!

    I've been watching dozens of videos for building pcs & have half my parts right now. I'm so excited but nervous about breaking something and my money has been wasted :(

    PS5 and Xbox-X uses upscaling right? If so then this PC is a killer.

    Ok, that's a nice build with a RX 6600. This is the minimum for all games, anything slower or an older gen is not worth it for all games.
    I mentioned all games.

    Actually, the 5700X/B550 Pro 4/32GB RAM is much better performance for the dollar over at New egg. You can break it down to $80/$80/$50 At this price point, $210, nothing beats it for this budget. You are essentially buying the 5600 at AliE but you get a 5700X instead.
