    If you are going to spoon your scrub in you could use a wide mouth canning funnel to keep your jar tops clean. Another option is to use a large reusable pastry bag and put half the pink on one side and the yellow on the opposite side and no tip and squeeze into your jars and tap the jar bottoms on your table to settle the scrub down, Or watch a cake decorating video and see how they put multiple colors of icing on a cake. Same process different product, I hope this helps

    Have you considered using a cake decorating piping bag with a star tip and just squeeze it in using a technique as if you were filling an ice cream cone? You get nice swirls.🙂

    love your videos! instead of using glycerin, can mango butter be used instead? and can emulsifying wax nf also be added, or will that mess up the fluffiness? last question, is this recipe slippery when used in the tub?

    • @JerikaZimmerman
      @JerikaZimmerman  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think those are two very different ingredients and the results will probably not be the same. The scrub lathers and rinses down the tub like soap so no, it’s not slippery in the tub.

    Do you need to add a preservative to this or is it already in the base? Thanks for the recipe and video ❤

    Did you ever try piping the scrub into the jar with pastry bags? Your product has a really nice small batch atmosphere with the spooning, just curious.

      Yes, I have! I found it was messy, wasted too much product and actually took me longer.

    if your body butter base from the soap suppliers has a preservative in it, do I need to add any additional preservative to my final product?

    I've used a 1lb foaming base mix and could not get more than 6.5 jars full, 8oz sized. Are you using the recipe listed in the video?

      Yep! How much you get will depend on how long the scrub is whipped for. If you want more jars, whip longer.

    I don’t know if you skipped this step or not but you should add a preservative in this product glycerin is a water based ingredient that when mixes with oils can cause bacteria to grow in your product if there isn’t a preservative in there. This product without a preservative has a lifespan of a week

    I always wonder would it be bad to use pre-made foaming base vs from make it from scratch. I'm interested starting a body and bath care business. But having a dilemma about using pre-made bases for some of products like foaming soap.

      I’ve heard making it from scratch is much better. I bought DIYBATHANDBODY s recipe on Etsy and love it.
