Finally a video thats not edited to hell with music and shows what a Nitro rustler can do stock. T-Maxx 2.5 with a 3.3 in it is the go to for me and I own every nitro that is still made. I got ALOT of people into nitro this year and they all love it. The early 2000s are back!
I have 2 nitro trucks left. One is really old. It’s an HPI MT2 18SS, and the other is an HPI Savage X 4.6 V2. The Savage is an awesome basher and 45mph fast. 2 speed baby on the Savage, with a 3 speed available as an option if you can find one. But that old MT2 4wd stadium truck brings me back to racing on the track. Low and flat like the Rustler, but a 3.0 ( .18) engine and 4WD. I find myself leaning back towards 1/10 scale as being my favourites after a decade of running 1/8 scale. Faster on less power.
Believe it or not I don't really know what I'm doing on youtube lol. I tried to schedule it for a certain time. Not sure what the premiere thing is. Anyways I appreciate ya watching bud!
The HPI Savage X SS was my first nitro and is still my favorite. I"ve ran it into so many things at full speed and it has not broken anything. Built it probably 14 years ago
Kyosho USA-1 nitro is pretty sweet with the 3-speed. It can take some fiddling to get it shifting correctly but the sound of it grabbing gears is SO SATISFYING.
I leaned it about a quarter turn. It was spitting liquid nitro out the exhaust. Thought that was a little too rich. I haven't timed, but I'd guess 15-18 mins...and thanks for your input. I have a lot to learn on nitro.
@@SketchRC- you know more than me. Ive only driven my buddies nitros. I want a jato 3.3 for my 1st. Im still fairly new to the hobby as far as owning and maintaining my own vehicles but been driving them since a kid. Ill be watching channels like yours to learn myself bro. Great vids.
@RC-Closer1313 Tmaxx is fun as hell man. Invest in some rpm or aluminum bulkheads and send it 😎 Been rocking them since 00 and still 1 of the funnest rc made.
@@bustedaw11 I don’t know if I’ll send that truck brother… I have bad luck with air control on nitros 😳… I get so use to electric RC’s that if I try to treat a nitro like an electric… I’ll break the sh!t out of it straight away!! I like ground and pounding nitros…
14:54 I don't understand the question Mike do you mean engine wise or nitro R/C car in genreral?? Awesome to see you burning rubber and glow fuel Mike👍👍😎😎👍👍
@@SketchRC- It's cool pal no worries I always wanted a Traxxas T-MAXX mainly because it offers a reverse feature on a nitro car but not sure if they still offer that feature nowadays?? But that's just me Mike looking forward to see what nitro car you end up getting next?

Love that sound
Sounds Awesome Man
Subbed for the nitro content. Love to see it and someone stoked about it! Keep it coming. I love my T-Maxx. 👍🏾
Great video, no stupid music in the background, just the sound of screaming nitro
A sin to put music over a nitro! Thanks man!

I put a 3.3 in my nitro rustler best upgrade ever! If you do upgrade to a 3.3 also pick up some mip axles and you are good to go

That one always caught my eye. Did not know it's a 3 speed! Wow. Grabbing gears would be epic.
🌟..💯
your engine sounds perfect. dont lean it out too much. how long is your typical runtime on a tank?

I’ve been thinking about getting a 4-wheel drive two speed nitro truck… there are several that I like. I just need to pull the trigger on one.
Do it!! Lol what you considering? USA-1, TMAXX, Savage?
@@SketchRC- t maxx. 😎

@RC-Closer1313 I can respect that 😎
Tmaxx was king a longgg time. There is a good reason for that 😁
Get a resonator pipe get a boost in performance
I'm getting out of nitro...I have a used 3.3 engine if interested

Model/car. My bad for not being very clear. I'm thinking a buggy would be awesome.
