No. Drunk people throw other people's bikes in the canals because they think its funny and they wanna throw something and the first thing they see is a bike. I've found my bike multiple times in the bushes, luckily there wasnt a canal nearby. Someone would never throw their own bike in the canal, because a bike is very precious to a dutchman, its our main transportation.

Jan de Jongen means "John the Kid/Boy" in Dutch. Quite fitting considering his job is just the adult version of the arcade claw machine.
hahaha fishing for bikes is freaking awesome! it's like playing an arcade claw machine everyday.
This is also why it can be really dangerous to either fall or jump into the canals in Amsterdam, either because you are really drunk and can not keep your balance anymore, or if you are really drunk and decide to do something stupid. The risk of getting caught in a bicycle wheel or to get stuck to a different part while you are under water is pretty big.

Actually bikes grow underwater they spawn in winter, in spring the young new bikes are fished out of the water, no bikes do not come from a factory.
