@@leilui100 there are more bikes than people in the netherlands and the canals are basically a bike graveyard. I mean there are literally bikes everywhere in amsterdam and there's a lot of water as well, so that why basically.The canals are being dug out weekly and the bikes get recycled and turned into all sorts of stuff.
"This is like bike city here" he says in the middle of Amsterdam.. he's absolutely not wrong what an understatement 😂

Someone needs to make like an attachment for bike frames, like a life jacket only it auto deploys when a bike gets chucked in the drink and is buoyant enough to keep a bike near the surface….and brightly coloured to draw attention, maybe an alarm on their too.

What do you do with the bikes you recover ?
They're left for the councils to remove and decide on what to do with them.
Amsterdam is amazing, the buildings are beautiful, the landscape and how the canal runs right through a city is just facinating!!! But, I must say that having that canal, with no protective railings is a bit scary, I can only imagine the stuff that is in that murky water, maybe bodies also. It would be kool if they could drain this canal and see exactly what lurks beneath the surface, oh the things that they would fnd!!!
Unfortunately many do drown in the canals
Many of the drowning people are drunk people who pee in the canal and stand on the edge and then fall in.

You have probably answered this question before, but what happens to the bikes you removed and stacked up along the canal? Does the city haul them away? Thanks for another fun video.
Bikes that are not in a good condition are hauled away. There are rules about the defects a bike must have. For instance, no saddle.

What happens with the stuff you pull out? Bikes and scooters are large items and you do magnet fishing in a few different countries.
We let the council know and they collect it 👍😃
