I don't disagree that Clarkson has worked hard on his new series. But please don't forget he's getting paid millions for his efforts, and everything he is doing is to further the success of his projects (quite fairly). He is doing good things for farming, but he sure ain't doing them for free, or for the sake of the other farmers.

Having watched Clarkson's Farm, I think Jeremy is a decent man. Watching him comfort his partner as she held a dead piglet was tear jerking.
On the other hand, when Caleb called him a "f*****g idiot" he didn't react, because he knew that the 21 year old knew more about farming than he ever would.
Just taking on the running of a farm at an age when most men would be thinking about retirement is an inspiration to me, and Clarkson's attitude and determination in the face of a local government witch hunt is admirable

It was a throwaway comment about the use of grammar which I’m sure if he was to read half the things that I write he would probably make exactly the same comment because I’m terrible at it but I really don’t think he would wish another human being to be dead. Jeremy Clarkson can be an utter idiot at times, but I really don’t think he’s that evil.?

Well done Jeremy for giving recognition to British farmers who have been criminally neglected by the British people and the British government !!
Our farmers were the hardest working and honestly produced the best food that money could buy , and we were one of the healthiest nations as a result.

Years ago farmers used to have students and old folk helping around the farm then they latched on to cheap immigrant workers and got rid of the locals, so it's no surprise that hard pressed workers in the UK want to buy cheap foreign imports it's just the other side of the coin, also to many small farmers run uneconomical businesses because they are inefficient!?!

I was lucky enough recently to visit his Diddlysquat farm and also the brewery, loved the whole experience and also the food. But one thing to note, is the huge crowds that always seem to be there. I used to go here often when it was a Carvery, living so locally and also called 'The Windmill'. It was a beautiful pub with lovely décor and stunning views. I always used to think that it had so much potential. It's lovely to see it being taken over by JC. However, I am saddened by the fact that so many would travel so far to a pub and would miss so many on the way and probably most likely not give their locals a second thought. Being owned by JC is the attraction but it's shame it never drew attention before. That being said, when it was a Carvery, it was packed as it was the best for miles. The queues are absurd, it has to be said. There are so many more pubs that offer very similar foods and drinks, but as I say, it's the bragging rights of going to JC's pub. I think it's wonderful and hopefully it'll calm down before I set foot in the establishment once more. I'm very keen to try and think it's lovely that it's getting the recognition it deserves. Well done JC, it looks wonderful.

I'm sure his reasons for doing this are just as much about flag-waving and politicising as his obvious love of farming, during what is a frankly thankless time for farmers whoever is in power. I watched his first series during lockdown and arrived at the opinion that farmers work very hard. They are the people who provide food for us and the independent hospitality businesses already struggling through the worst cost of living crisis in living memory (since the 70s) deserve far more attention than Clarkson. Gary, you’re gaining notoriety (in a good way). All your hard work is paying off. Kudos to Jeremy for backing local and British farmers. Great piece of land. I like the Farmer’s Puppy concept. The pub is very nicely appointed. A smaller menu is a good sign that the chef isn’t trying to be all things to all guests. I’d happily pay a higher price for good food, than pay for mediocre food.

Hats off to Mr Clarkson for keeping a great country pub open, and using local produce in an age where far to many are sadly disappearing, they are part of our heritage. Snack food looked hearty, sausage roll & pork pie with obvious high pork content, darker coloured meat as opposed to the processed pinky stuff you often get. Shwarma and burger looked good, as did the bacon banjo but better in real bread and not brioche please JC. Thanks for another top review!

The pork is a darker colour, like a Melton Mobray, because it will be made without using Sodium Nitrate. A curing salt that extends the shelf-life, and also helps the meat retain its 'uncooked colour'.
