      @Gato Felix You're an actual moron. Based on 47 systematic reviews and meta analyses the Scientific Advisory committee on nutrition concluded that saturated fat increases risk of cardiovascular disease. www.nutrition.org.uk/nutritioninthenews/new-reports/sacn-sat-fat.html The American Heart Association made the same conclusion based on the latest randomized trials. www.ahajournals.org/doi/full/10.1161/CIR.0000000000000510 And the European Atherosclerosis society published a massive review paper that included separate meta analyses of over 200 prospective cohort studies, Mendelian randomization studies, and randomized trials including more than 2 million participants with over 20 million person-years of follow-up and over 150 000 cardiovascular events demonstrate a remarkably consistent dose-dependent log-linear association between the absolute magnitude of exposure of the vasculature to LDL-C and the risk of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. academic.oup.com/eurheartj/article/38/32/2459/3745109
      So in short saturated fat, cholesterol and elevated serum cholesterol unequivocally causes heart disease. The only reason you deny this is because either you are completely and utterly ignorant to these scientific facts or you are a delusional moron.

    I agree the carnivore diet is no bueno, but there is a lot of hypocrisy in this video. For example, "if you have to supplement then it's a bad diet" (essentially what you say), but we all know you are REQUIRED to supplement the vegan diet or suffer. Both are deficient in ways...so pretty pointless to say that one is bad and the other isn't.

      no you are committing a strawman fallacy here, though i’m sure you just didn’t understand him. VG was making fun of her calling it a natural “lion” diet when you have to supplement. All well planned diets are supplemented as a precaution, though you actually do not need to supplement on a plant based diet depending on where you live and your access to certain produce.

  • @user-je2yq7ru8w

    -_- Are we looking to very specific animals for our own diets now?
    Anyone who does better on the carnivore or "lion" diet almost certainly has major gut/allergic issues and is simply taking a shotgun approach to avoid triggers or enzyme dysfunctions specific to themselves, blaming anti-nutrients.
    Carnivore diet = "my car won't go into 3rd gear, so I just won't go into 3rd gear ever again! PROBLEM SOLVED. Obviously the car was never meant to get to 3rd gear!"

      I was on an omnivorous healthy low carb but not keto whole food "diet", never had any health problems I really noticed but got curious about carnivore diet until I started the carnivore diet and noticed how much better I felt. So light, my stomach flat and hard, no more bloating, gas or farting, very soft easy and regular stool, just one wipe and your bum is clean, no more anal fissure. No more hunger through the entire day, just this satiated warm feeling inside. No more waking up at night, my joints feel so much more flexible, my thread feels so much lighter, no pain in my shins when I start to run. I have lost so much oedema I never knew I had until I went carnivore. No more desire to drink alcohol. I have lost a lot of body fat, I'm 45 and for the first time in my life I have a 6 pack and also big gains in lean body mass/progress in the gym

    • @user-je2yq7ru8w
      @user-je2yq7ru8w 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@arhu74 If you craved alcohol you likely had a candida overgrowth. Like I said, spray and pray, or shotgun effect. Getting lucky rather than directing treatment. You say you had no noticeable health issues but listed many that would be obvious to most people. Anal fissures is not normal, bloating is not normal, alcohol cravings are not normal, and restless sleep is not normal.
      Also I would not recommend low carb to anyone, if I remember correctly it should be around 50% calories from carbs.
      That said I am glad you feel better but I just think the suggested reason for improvement is a bit misguided. You essentially went on a candida diet as just one example, and it's possible you have allergies to some foods.

    • @arhu74

      @@arhu74 Okay thanks for extra detail. I'm no doctor but this is based on what I've seen. If you ever did want to return to other foods, there is research suggesting sensitivities can be greatly exacerbated when avoiding then trying to reintroduce them due to lack of changes in the gut. I also heard it from some carnivores - that they're "stuck on the diet" because a piece of broccoli now gives them horrible pain. Basically just don't reintroduce everything all at once, go very slow, starting with the lowest fiber foods to allow the gut to adapt.

      @@arhu74 I just looked this up and you're correct about K1 being poorly absorbed, usually around 10% is absorbed by the body; however: one cup of cooked kale contains around 1,062 mcg, similar to collard greens which are 1,059 mcg. Divided by 10%, around 106 mcg are absorbed. The daily requirement for women is 90 mcg and the daily requirement for men is 120 mcg. So, a man would need to consume just a bit more than a cup of these cooked greens and they shouldn't need to worry though I'm sure that people are able to consume more than just a cup a day to meet requirements (if all else fails, by all means, consult with your doctor/dietitian and take a supplement). It also helps if a healthy fat (such as nuts, avocado, etc.) is eaten alongside since it's a fat-soluble vitamin and absorption is improved with the accompany of fat. I, myself, have never been deficient in vitamin K or anything else, aside from vitamin D when I was a kid and still ate meat and dairy.

The only time we can triumph over real apex predators is when we have access to a gun, but that doesn't mean that anatomically speaking we are even close to the strength, speed, stamina, agility and predatory prowess of a lion, killer whale or any other animal that scores a 5.5.
