Got mine last September - and I don't regret it one damn bit ! Best decision I've made camera wise. After years of Nikon usage & most recently a D780 DSLR I decided to go mirrorless & this camera has been good to me !
Every month I want to buy it ever since it came out. This is the best camera Sony has done in this price range. I have no idea how people can even call it an outdated camera, it is still so fresh and offers incredible footage & photo quality. Too many new Sony cameras coming out too often and people forget gems like the A7IV.
A7 III was a bigger hit, and taking inflation into account it was in same range. A7IV just perfected all the usability issues, while remaining a sub 3k camera, A7 III simply hit above its class while having some usability issues.
@@euphoriatuananh I agree about the Monitor. I wish it was better. But I'm generally looking through the peep hole for shots anyway because when out in the sun, barely going to see any monitor from any camera. If I'm doing weird angles, the monitor does well enough for me to get the shot. But I do with it was better. Oh well, it's a mid-tier camera and for all it's benefits, Sony had to cut costs somewhere in order to keep the price down. Overall, an Amazing camera though.
@@euphoriatuananh so that's your only complaint? The monitor? The camera takes incredible footage and for you, it's the monitor. I upgraded to the A7IV from the A7II in October 2022. I'm still getting used to the features, and speed of using the A7IV, and I love it. Yes, the focusing is insane, especially if you use native Sony lens. I don't think Sony can introduce a new entry level full frame mirrorless into the market for a while because the A7IV is soo good, and we are not in need of an upgrade just yet. Now, let's see what specs they bring to the market for the A7S, and the replacement for the A1.

Great job on the video! Thanks for making it. I have to agree about the K3M being worth the money. I'm a film student in Nevada and the ability to be able to plug XLR into my camera has saved me a lot of up-front costs on getting set up with "proper" audio recording hardware, it allows my camera operator to monitor the audio themselves thereby eliminating the need for an entire audio person, and it saves me a ton of time in post. I got one for a song during lockdown, but even if I had paid full price I would buy it again for sure. I'm shopping for an FX30 now, and even though I have the K3M, I still see the value in having one right there in the nifty handle that is way more secure.

As a new Sony A7 IV user, this video is fantastic! Thank you for your hard work. I'm especially interested in the boom arm. Could you please share the name of it or the Amazon link? Thank you!
You really sold me out!!! I'm working on company projects usually recording indoors. Do you think I can buy this body with all basic accessories in 3000£ range? That's unfortunately my company budget.
I've been using this camera almost since its premiere, but one thing really annoys me. 4k at 50/60 with crop, it's a bit inappropriate for a 3,000 euro camera from 2022. Even if it would cause faster overheating, I would prefer it because APSC mode can always be turned on.
I don't understand your comment about "Saturday afternoon being the best time to hunt for used cameras"; B&H is closed then. (I prefer KEH anyway) Yes, more camera content! With 23 Nikkors in my stable I can't afford to switch systems, but am tempted to advance to the "Z" mount to get Nikon's eye-focus, but again, too much money and I'm old...

I have the A7IV as well and agree with most of your review. Thanks for the video!
Can you please show your studio setup and filming workflow? It has been a while since your last one, i think. Great video as always!
Thanks Gary, great to see a camera video from you again, much more interesting than just Apple videos, over them. Please keep the camera vids coming mate. 👍👍
Dude! I'm seeing a lot of backpacking/hiking pics in there, and some gear in the background. We should chat.
You should talk about cameras from time to time again, especially the new lumix S5II and S5II X
S5ii s5iix are for pros.
Praise the lord! This guy is back on cameras!
I miss the non-apple content... Nice video. You've tentatively earned me back 😉
Thank you for a great video. I brought one of these cameras last week.
What are your thoughts on the LUMIX s5ii?
I’ve always liked your camera videos. So, yes do some camera videos.
How is the stabilization with the A7IV?
Yes to more camera/gear reviews!
HECCCK YES A CAMERA REVIEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes. Talk about cameras
Yes! More camera videos!
Yes on more camera reviews, especially for Sony! :)
Thanks bro. I recently bought this one and the experience is awesome.
Wish you made a tutorial of this camera.
Have You tried the Lumix S5II? Best regrads, Kai.
Thank you! I’m interested and would be excellent to learn about different options from an experienced TH-camr!
The Sony A74 is on my shopping list.
The Sony A74 in Super 35mm crop mode in 1080HD is 2.5k
Please do camera reviews as well 🎉
ayyyyeeeeeee he's back! LOL
Wow ! It's been a while since I've seen a camera review on your channel. I subbed from your camera reviews . Also I just bought this to add to my Fuji cameras .
Took you long enough… 🤣
Panasonic s5 II kills it ;)
Yes it does
Absolutly :
Hi,
Thanks for the interesting video. I got my new A74 yesterday and after about 10-15 mins of setting up the menu, it heated up pretty strong. Is this normal? I didn't take more than 15 pictures and no video.
Thanks a lot for the reply.
Regards
Marian
Yes please do camera reviews again. I have always liked your reviews on them. I don't watch you much since you went all Apple videos. I am a fan of Apple but more of a fan of cameras. Thanks for A74 review. Any issues with overheating?
As a new Sony A7 IV user, this video is fantastic! Thank you for your hard work. I'm especially interested in the boom arm. Could you please share the name of it or the Amazon link? Thank you!
What’s the best Sonys cameras aside from the A 1 ?
Everyone resells the SOny A7 IV for Lumix S5 II X, me too XD. but it's still a good camera, even if I go back to Lumix now.
Great review!
I miss your Lumix color and "cinematic" look in your channel. Sony look is sharp, but clinical.
Camera video! Man, it's been awhile. Loved it and agreed, the A7IV is amazing. Have you tried ZV-E1?
I'm really contemplating on joining the Sony gang, what's a good inexpensive set of lenses to get for Sony full frame?
You really sold me out!!! I'm working on company projects usually recording indoors. Do you think I can buy this body with all basic accessories in 3000£ range? That's unfortunately my company budget.
How does this compare to Panasonic S1H for video? Which do you prefer?
thinking about upgrading from my 6 years old canon 750D to this one instead of the canon EOS R6 mark 2
I've been using this camera almost since its premiere, but one thing really annoys me. 4k at 50/60 with crop, it's a bit inappropriate for a 3,000 euro camera from 2022. Even if it would cause faster overheating, I would prefer it because APSC mode can always be turned on.
With you 100%
I don't understand your comment about "Saturday afternoon being the best time to hunt for used cameras"; B&H is closed then. (I prefer KEH anyway)
Yes, more camera content! With 23 Nikkors in my stable I can't afford to switch systems, but am tempted to advance to the "Z" mount to get Nikon's eye-focus, but again, too much money and I'm old...
@TheEverydayDad have you r opinions changed the last 4 months on the Sony a7IV? couple new cameras came out a6700, A7Cii and Iphone 15 pro max
for some reason for the past month i havent seen you in my subscription feed... thought you stopped uploading
Omg a camera review!? 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
This one vs the canon r6 mark 11 for mainly video?
Great review thank you!
