*Canon EOS R6 mk II lurking in the back*
Seriously though, cameras are so good nowadays that I have the feeling that whatever you're looking at it will produce good enough results for 99% of people.
A7IV is a wonderfully balanced camera
A7III is still very relevant, and a very good camera and is now hitting some good prices on the used market
R6 is getting the same treatment and is about the same as the A7IV when it comes to performance and ease of use (except resolution)
R6 mkII is the heavyweight champ to beat right now with pretty much the fastest non stacked FF sensor, unmatched autofocus and 40fps shooting at a pricepoint too low for the capabilities
S5II and S5IIX are the new kids on the block and giving both the A7IV and R6II a run for their money in terms of value and capabilities
Fuji X-H2S is just a powerhouse of a camera on all aspects if you don't care about full frame sensors
Fuji X-H2 and X-T5 are super resolved cameras with some high end video features and are pretty much the perfect hybrid for casual / semi pro use
for real, wherever you look there is no bad options. Only questionable choice right now is Nikon Z cameras, as they've focused on high end cameras like the Z8 (which is amazing, but at a high pricepoint) and they haven't really put their new tech in their mid range bodies that are aging quite rapidly compared to the competition. But that should not hold true for long, hopefully the Z6III is a banger

Love my A7IV. I did recently buy a used Canon M6 Mark II and 22, 32, 11-22mm lenses for it because I missed having a lighter weight option. But you got me thinking about the 24mm f2.8 G lens as an option but still much heavier for all day carry. I miss you doing camera reviews!

    • @SuperJoePardo
      @SuperJoePardo ปีที่แล้ว

@@lewcehjitl3282 I enjoy the image quality of the M6 II. But the low light is definitely no where near what I can get with my 24mm 1.4 sony and 35mm 1.4 sony lenses. But both of those are over a lb each. It's all about trade offs and deciding what you can live with/without. The M6 II has a pop up flash with is great, but I like taking candid shots which is harder when you are using a pop up flash. I will say I wound up returning the 32 mm, it's heavy enough and big enough on the body that if I put it on, I m'ight as well take my A7IV. I did however buy the Samyang 35mm 2.8 pancake which I like a lot for the weight savings, but it does hunt a little bit in low light situations. But for 200$ it's a steal for what it can produce.

I upgraded to the A7IV from the A7II in October 2022. I'm still getting used to the features, and speed of using the A7IV, and I love it. Yes, the focusing is insane, especially if you use native Sony lens. I don't think Sony can introduce a new entry level full frame mirrorless into the market for a while because the A7IV is soo good, and we are not in need of an upgrade just yet. Now, let's see what specs they bring to the market for the A7S, and the replacement for the A1.

A7 III was a bigger hit, and taking inflation into account it was in same range.

Great job on the video! Thanks for making it. I have to agree about the K3M being worth the money. I'm a film student in Nevada and the ability to be able to plug XLR into my camera has saved me a lot of up-front costs on getting set up with "proper" audio recording hardware, it allows my camera operator to monitor the audio themselves thereby eliminating the need for an entire audio person, and it saves me a ton of time in post. I got one for a song during lockdown, but even if I had paid full price I would buy it again for sure. I'm shopping for an FX30 now, and even though I have the K3M, I still see the value in having one right there in the nifty handle that is way more secure.

for me i want the panasonic colours, better stab and video, and real time LUTS so i went s5iix. a74 is def still respectable though!
really cant go wrong with most hybrids in this price range even the fuji x-h2 is a beast. and does 8k internal. wild.

After trying so many cameras, my ranking is Nikon, Panasonic, Fuji. But I'm mostly taking stills and a bit of video.

@@USGrant21st i do a decent amount of hybrid but i would say my list looks similar. only with fuji at the top for the simplest workflow plus great IQ.

@tankerbruja is there anyway to change the color science to mimic panasonic colors? Sony ones seem dull.

Have two A7IV for all my corporate productions. Excellent video features, excellent photo features.
Awesome low light capabilities, great stabilization, unbeatable image quality, 10-bit, S-Log and S-Cinetone.
    Amazing piece of gear.

It's a pretty good all-rounder. I will also endorse the 24mm G. It's a pleasure. Not optically perfect but great size and character for days.

As a new Sony A7 IV user, this video is fantastic! Thank you for your hard work. I'm especially interested in the boom arm. Could you please share the name of it or the Amazon link? Thank you!
