As someone with active depression; Electric Callboy always makes me feel a bit of happiness even if I'm feeling low. They're just fun and bring out joy by their music. They won't solve my depression but they are a short break from it ❤
I found them pretty recently when I was going through a really rough patch of depression and their music helped pull me out of it! They just give me so much joy.
...with added info on how in their interviews Kevin and Nico said how they want to raise their sons in more emotionally mature way, so the kids aren't afraid to show their emotions etc. :)
I challenge you to do a deep dive into Electric Callboy and make any of their songs about metal health. They are, like you said about this song, just to fun!!
Babymetal - dances like they're invoking the divine forces of wind and fire. Electric Callboy - dances like they're middle-aged dads who really don't care if they're cool or not. Together - NOW EVERYBODY'S GETTING DOWN!
Babymetal and Electric Callboy gives us all the permission to be silly and laugh at ourselves and our predicaments. That's how they help us deal with our mental health challenges 😊
Electric Callboy (who started out as "Eskimo Callboy") are the masters of Party Core - music to let loose to, and just have fun. They have created some much darker material over the years, perhaps better suited for mental health examination, but their light hearted material is perfect if I want to forget about my cares for a little while, laugh loudly and maybe dance awkwardly behind drawn curtains. At my age, I don't get that often, and E.C. certainly improves *my* mental health. They do take their music seriously, just not themselves, and I find that both commendable and courageous.
Yes agreed👊🏽⚡️Good fun music is worth more than alll the drugs and alcohol. Babymetal’s catalog is also full of positive fun metal songs. These are my two favorite bands for that reason.
Yea electric callboy darker stuff has defs caught me of guard before holy shit esp coming from hypa hypa i think i really like ya dumb 80s vibe and we got the moves. love all there shit though
I'm not naturally great with emotions, and I use music to practice being in emotions. I'm going through a difficult time, and I started listening to Babymetal to practice JOY. And I've planned a trip to DC in Nov around getting to see them in concert! Can't wait!
We saw them last year, and are going to see them again the same month (but across the country). They will blow your mind, and you will experience joy, for sure! They seem to be having a great time (even though they clearly work their butts off), and they communicate that to, and share it with the audience. It's amazing!
This song has been living rent free in my head for soo long and I love it. Electric Callboy is soo amazing. You really should listen to more of them. They did a cover of Casacdas "Every time We Touch" and I love it lol
I’m excited to hear more of your therapist perspective on Electric Callboy’s music. They bring me a lot of joy. They can go a bit overboard with innuendo and pretty women, but other than that they seem to be the most positive and mentally healthy metal bands today. They aren’t shy about expressing their love for each other - rare with dudes. And they’re willing to make fun of themselves. I’ll be on the lookout for your next EC video!

You know what I liked most. The way the girls of Babymetal were smiling and just having so much fun at their live performances. Japanese culture can be a bit to focused on perfectionism, and being a bit introvert. So the way the girls opened up, were smiling, hugging... It really was such a warm loving feeling just watching them. It must be so nice to work with the Electric Callboy team. ☺
Electric Callboy is out-of-this-world amazing-very funny and incredibly talented-just a great group of guys from Germany! I highly recommend doing more of their songs/videos. 🇺🇸❤️🤘🏼🇩🇪
Great reaction!👏👏👏 My "mental heart" song of Electric Callboy in the way of your words is "Prism". Music video (with former singer Sushi), the accustic version from radio B.O.B.and the audition/ cover of Nico (singer since spring 2020, my favourit version). They are for sure worth a second, thirth and fourth look. "Hypa Hypa" helped many guys to survive the 2020 restrictions and further.
Thank you for this reaction! Its interesting to hear the thoughts of a therapist! Electric Callboy gave me strength to stand up in the morning, and in a good mood! Ready for the day ❤
Rewatching this video for the...hell, it's hit double digits at least. Great video, and best wishes to you, Taylor. Please, rest, recover, feel better, and get back as soon as everything feels good.
Ok so what an amazing reaction! This was the video that introduced me to Electric Callboy....and um I went down the rabbit hole fast and they are absolutely unique.❤
The most fun thing about this song is: Electric Callboy and Babymetal both have their own style, a very distinctive style. And both styles are very, very different. But with this song they managed to write and perform a song that is both distinctively Babymetal AND distinctively Electric Callboy. And they said it themselves, this was a 50/50 collaboration. Not a feature or something, but an actual collaboration. A real team-up, with no one being the guest. And this is as perfect as a collaboration can get. Like, they don't take anything away from each other but both add so much into it. The most fun thing I have seen in the last year. And listening to it always makes me happy.
Amazing reaction, very fun seeing you vibing hard to the song 🤣 If you want to react to more Electric Callboy that are plus more emotional and deep, you should check out Mindreader.
Also Electrict call boy inspiration related artist > Käärijä, not English performer but lyrics are available and well I think lots there for interpretation within the lyrics 😊 enjoyed this so much!
Welcome back.🦊This is such a good collaboration, but of course it is - Electric Callboy are great fun and BABYMETAL are so versatile that they can collaborate with pretty much anybody and they will fit in with their style and they make it look and sound almost effortless ... it takes a lot of hard work, talent and professionalism to make it look so easy. BABYMETAL were wanting to make a song people could dance along with like Electric Callboy's 'We Got The Moves' but they felt something was missing. They decided to ask EC if they would like to be involved so they went to see EC playing in Boston (they were both there at the same time last year) and met up backstage with them before the show. 'RATATATA' was the result. After a lot of back and forth and over 20 rewrites and variations etc they finally agreed on this final version. It is very much in the EC style, but make no mistake - it is a real 50-50 collaboration. They've played it live together at festivals where they were both appearing - 8 times so far I believe - and each time it just looks like they're all enjoying themselves and enjoying each others company so much ... and of course the crowds have been having just as much fun.
Fun fact: The background growls towards the end are actually Momo Metal. She also let rip some growls in Momobanger (her taking over lead vocals in Headbanger from Su for her 20th birthday).
I really love seeing how EC brought out a more fun side of Babymetal. There's a live version of the two groups performing this in Germany and they all have giant smiles to the point of Moa and Momo actually cracking up on stage at one point. Just pedal to the metal fun.
Electric Callboy is my jolt of serotonin for the day. My mental state has been crushed these past few months after loosing my job and being unable to find another yet. Lost my job because of my anxiety and depression and these guys have helped lift my spirit up when I'm falling into a dark spiral. (Who knew anxiety and depression aren't considered a disability with some companies...) I recommend their cover of "Everytime We Touch" The music video always puts a smile on my face.
Electric Callboy is just pure fun. They also have a couple of more serious songs though - Mindreader or Parasite would come to mind. Mentioning Shaking it out - Florence and the Machine have a song Shake it out, that is about mental health too.
The "mental health" aspect of this song is that it is practically impossible to listen to it and not smile. Sometimes you need that when you're in a bad head space. When I'm angry or depressed sometimes I want to throw some sad music on and be in my feelings for a bit. Other times I just want something to slap me across the face and make it impossible to be in a bad mood. And honestly just about anything from Electric Callboy is just what the doctor ordered in those times.
Most of their songs are great for preconceived oppinions and reacting to unexpected situations! Check out their making of and vlogs. Some of their latest vlogs were made with different themes. I loved the national geographic version, but the soap one was the best. And they aree really nice guys! AND GREAT ARTISTS AND ENTERTAINERS
I really hope you can check more of the Electric Callboy material 🙏🏻 they are awesome! Maybe the songs Parasite and Mindreader are good ones for more mental health related topics. But at the end of the day i think EC is a band you listen because they can make you feel good 😄
I think the most important part in this song beyond just the simple "Have fun and party" vibe is the bridge: "I'm here for the moment, here for the beat Here for the love and the friends I need, you know That I'll be there for good" There's something about loyalty, the importance of friends, that little mindful pause from the dopamine rush and a deep appreciation for the people/opportunity to be there. EC knows their emotions! :D
Well, this was a happy song. Sometimes we´re also overwhelmed by good feelings, it´s okay to feel super happy and kinda silly at times. If you let people know, that you´re that, then they´re like : " Oh, ok :D :D." And the good feelings and silly vibes are super infectious
If you EVER get a chance to see Electric Callboy live, do it! Hands down, the most fun I've had at a concert. The entire crowd moves and knows every lyric of every song. And screams along. The best.
When it comes to Kevin and Nico, they ARE the mental health improvement. The energetic and positive vibes they produce are pure serotonin for the ears. It is literally impossible to hear Electric Callboy and be sad. And to bring Babymetal in on a track? Yeah the only thing that could ever be better would be experiencing it live.
No band makes me happier than electric callboy they always help cheer me up when I’m in a bad mood. Although it’s not one of their most popular you should react to arrow of love. It’s a super good song and there’s some lines in there that you could talk about that pertain to mental health
You should listen to BabyMetal's other recent collab, Leave It All Behind. Just make sure you turn on English captions. It's definitely a mental health song.
Please do more EC but I wouldn't be too bothered about finding a message in the lyrics if you can't. I think some people aren't lyrics people. The uplifting part doesn't have to be in the lyrics, it can be solely in the way the music sounds. Some music makes you feel happy or dance-y or depressed. The lyrics could be in any language but you'd still feel the emotion that the arrangement of the notes is putting across. I don't know what half EC's songs are about but I often feel overwhelming joy when I hear them.
For me "Megitsune" is the go go go song... it makes me forget about other stuff and just be in the moment... sometimes i listen to it when i walk home from train. usually it takes me 20 minutes to get home, but listening to that song, makes me move, move faster, and my record is 12 minutes, just listening to one song.
I loved her reaction. This song is a banger for sure. Baby Metal and Electric Callboy really vibe well together. Also, Is there a place to suggest songs? There is a newer Shinedown Song that I feel could be good for talking about Mental Health. It is called Daylight by Shinedown
"How am I going to make this a mental health song"... honestly as someone that views EC as their Guilt-Free Pleasure band... I can attest just vibing to their music in general is a mental health boost lol. Legit feel its impossible to watch any of their videos and not just have an absolute blast with it.
A song that I think might be great to react to as a therapist. Is a song called “Bad Seed” by the band Life of Agony. Is about the result of a son’s feelings after their mother takes her own life. The name of the album is called “River runs red.” That should tell you what the album is about.
for a non partyish songs for analyses from Electric Callboy. Mindreader, Neon( sounds like chester in this song), Hate/Love, Arrow of love, parasite. For a new band to react to, From Ashes to New is a good band to listen to that has a lot of songs for mental health and even a song about medication in Side Fx.
This song is literally how I start my day. But Electric Callboy is literally just always fun. Although their most recent album DOES have a couple more serious songs if you wanna check those out, too.
You need to go down the electric callboy rabbit hole, they are freaking awesome!
If you ever need to be happy, just listen to EC. You can’t not be happy
And that is an understatement.
Maybe mindreader so it would be something to talk about
@@SteIIarvore Hate/Love would be a good song for her to apply her analysis to.
@@robbie_4118 yeah or parasite
It took her all of 6 seconds to IMMEDIATELY recognize Kevin and Nico's vibe.
Yup, they really are like blades of gloryesque
Occasionally, collaborations from Germany and Japan also lead to really good things...
I see what you did there.
Let me show you how cool I am in one sentence...

No band makes me happier than electric callboy they always help cheer me up when I’m in a bad mood. Although it’s not one of their most popular you should react to arrow of love. It’s a super good song and there’s some lines in there that you could talk about that pertain to mental health
This was the collab of the Summer!
I think you would have more to say about EC's song Love/Hate, check that video out.
You definitely do "ratatata" on hearts, love it!
You should listen to BabyMetal's other recent collab, Leave It All Behind. Just make sure you turn on English captions. It's definitely a mental health song.
You need to do a LOT more Electric Callboy!
You gotta check out their cover of Every Time We Touch, such a nice reflavoring of a love song to not about friendship.
For just a RATATA, you can check "Prisoner" by Novelists.
Not the same vibe though, but it slaps anyway
my girlfriend says you should do "shake it out" by florence and the machine
For me "Megitsune" is the go go go song... it makes me forget about other stuff and just be in the moment... sometimes i listen to it when i walk home from train. usually it takes me 20 minutes to get home, but listening to that song, makes me move, move faster, and my record is 12 minutes, just listening to one song.
Seeing this performed live has altered my brain chemistry
If you looking for good moode music, please react to "everytime we touch - electric callboy" i swear you will fell in love with that version!!
I LOVE the EC newbies when they see this!!!!
This song never fails to make me dance in my seat.
A song that I think might be great to react to as a therapist. Is a song called “Bad Seed” by the band Life of Agony. Is about the result of a son’s feelings after their mother takes her own life. The name of the album is called “River runs red.” That should tell you what the album is about.
Electric Callboy are fun. Definitly look at their other songs like Techno Train or Pump it. Another suggestion would be "ifa - Burn your desires"
I love during the breakdown how you can see all emotions fly by via face expressions xD "How many feelings did you feel?" "Yes"
for a non partyish songs for analyses from Electric Callboy. Mindreader, Neon( sounds like chester in this song), Hate/Love, Arrow of love, parasite. For a new band to react to, From Ashes to New is a good band to listen to that has a lot of songs for mental health and even a song about medication in Side Fx.
Your reactions to this song are how my inner child reacts to it every time I hear it
Citizen Soldier - Save Your Story would be a fantastic reaction that would mean alot.
Electric Callboy and Baby Metal ARE Therapy!, they are the treatment for Depression!!
YUP!!~~
listen to their song Pump it
So happy to see you discover Electric Callboy. They are happiness wrapped in a delicious metal coating.
This song is literally how I start my day. But Electric Callboy is literally just always fun. Although their most recent album DOES have a couple more serious songs if you wanna check those out, too.
When you listen to EC you don't need a therapist
