Therapist reacts to BABYMETAL X ELECTRIC CALLBOY RATATATA
ฝัง
- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 15 ก.ย. 2024
- Therapist analyzes the lyrics of Ratatata to talk about how many people can feel pigeon-holed into a certain identity, like "the party guy" and then it can be really hard for them to connect or to feel accepted outside of that space, because they are not wearing the mask of their identity. This song invites us to Ratatata on our hearts and really check in on our motives of WHY we are showing up the way we are.

Yeah, Performers make a stage persona, and some can't keep their identities separate. Suzaka from BabyMetal will says things like, when I become Su-Metal I can be a different person. She seems good at keeping her stage persona separate cuz in real life she is dorky but on stage she is queen of metal.
You need to go down the electric callboy rabbit hole, they are freaking awesome!
If you ever need to be happy, just listen to EC. You can’t not be happy
And that is an understatement.
Maybe mindreader so it would be something to talk about
@@SteIIarvore Hate/Love would be a good song for her to apply her analysis to.
@@robbie_4118 yeah or parasite
It took her all of 6 seconds to IMMEDIATELY recognize Kevin and Nico's vibe.
Next up the everytime we touch cover by electric callboy, and you can talk about the importance of bromance for mental health.
The best bromance ❤
💯
...with added info on how in their interviews Kevin and Nico said how they want to raise their sons in more emotionally mature way, so the kids aren't afraid to show their emotions etc. :)
I challenge you to do a deep dive into Electric Callboy and make any of their songs about metal health. They are, like you said about this song, just to fun!!
As someone with active depression; Electric Callboy always makes me feel a bit of happiness even if I'm feeling low. They're just fun and bring out joy by their music. They won't solve my depression but they are a short break from it ❤
true, it gives you a small break from worries
Me too!
Babymetal and Electric Callboy gives us all the permission to be silly and laugh at ourselves and our predicaments. That's how they help us deal with our mental health challenges 😊
"Dad band helps Daughters make a TikTok video vibes" according to a comment i can't find anymore, so only paraphrased.
Electric Callboy (who started out as "Eskimo Callboy") are the masters of Party Core - music to let loose to, and just have fun. They have created some much darker material over the years, perhaps better suited for mental health examination, but their light hearted material is perfect if I want to forget about my cares for a little while, laugh loudly and maybe dance awkwardly behind drawn curtains. At my age, I don't get that often, and E.C. certainly improves *my* mental health. They do take their music seriously, just not themselves, and I find that both commendable and courageous.
Yes agreed👊🏽⚡️Good fun music is worth more than alll the drugs and alcohol. Babymetal’s catalog is also full of positive fun metal songs. These are my two favorite bands for that reason.
Yea electric callboy darker stuff has defs caught me of guard before holy shit esp coming from hypa hypa i think i really like ya dumb 80s vibe and we got the moves. love all there shit though
I'm not naturally great with emotions, and I use music to practice being in emotions. I'm going through a difficult time, and I started listening to Babymetal to practice JOY. And I've planned a trip to DC in Nov around getting to see them in concert! Can't wait!
Most of the songs from Electric callboy will give good vibes only ❤️ for example Arrow of love
Agreed! 😍
Hurrikan👊🏽⚡️
Did you notice how cool Kevin looked at the end? Now one turns as dramatically as him!!
I was looking for a comment like that and almost believed nobody noticed that.
I’m glad I’m not the only one that noticed this 😉
FINALLY!! Nico (clean vocals), and Kevin (screaming) are the best metal duo right now. You HAVE TO listen to We Got The Moves, Tekkno Train, Hypa Hypa, and Everytime We Touch.😂❤
YOU NEED TO react mindreader, they make some fun musics like this one but when they wanto to, they made some real shit kkkkkkkkkkk
Babymetal - dances like they're invoking the divine forces of wind and fire.
Electric Callboy - dances like they're middle-aged dads who really don't care if they're cool or not.
Together - NOW EVERYBODY'S GETTING DOWN!
I’m excited to hear more of your therapist perspective on Electric Callboy’s music. They bring me a lot of joy. They can go a bit overboard with innuendo and pretty women, but other than that they seem to be the most positive and mentally healthy metal bands today.
They aren’t shy about expressing their love for each other - rare with dudes. And they’re willing to make fun of themselves.
I’ll be on the lookout for your next EC video!
I love electric callboy, I can't recommend them enough for the EDM, Pop, metal mash up they do
This song has been living rent free in my head for soo long and I love it. Electric Callboy is soo amazing. You really should listen to more of them. They did a cover of Casacdas "Every time We Touch" and I love it lol
Please go down the Electric Callboy rabbit hole with „Hypa Hypa“ „We Got The Moves“ „Pump it“
@@goatbrother8718 …Hurrikan. 😖🫠
Thanks for brightening my day! Your reaction was completely appropriate.
Electric Callboy is pure mental health treatment :)
Love this collab! Such fun and energy! So catchy.❤
Rigt in line about what you said: Have a look at Electric Callboy's "Mindreader". They let you look behind the mask so much in that.
To me, the mental health aspect of this song is. Sometimes you just need to get together with your friends and have a fun time to refresh yourself.
Thank you for this reaction! Its interesting to hear the thoughts of a therapist! Electric Callboy gave me strength to stand up in the morning, and in a good mood! Ready for the day ❤
Electric Callboy and Baby Metal ARE Therapy!, they are the treatment for Depression!!
YUP!!~~
If you want mental health, you need Electric Callboy! "We got the moves", "Hypa, hypa!!
It's a good song to turn on to let things go for a moment. 😊
BM and EC are the big warm hug of modern metal.
@@toddmueller8948 hmm🤔maybe a warm sweaty hug🥳
you should do more of electric callboy
@@stevebrown9955 But only if you want to smile👊🏽⚡️Same with Babymetal 🫡
Welcome back.🦊This is such a good collaboration, but of course it is - Electric Callboy are great fun and BABYMETAL are so versatile that they can collaborate with pretty much anybody and they will fit in with their style and they make it look and sound almost effortless ... it takes a lot of hard work, talent and professionalism to make it look so easy.
BABYMETAL were wanting to make a song people could dance along with like Electric Callboy's 'We Got The Moves' but they felt something was missing.
They decided to ask EC if they would like to be involved so they went to see EC playing in Boston (they were both there at the same time last year) and met up backstage with them before the show.
'RATATATA' was the result.
After a lot of back and forth and over 20 rewrites and variations etc they finally agreed on this final version. It is very much in the EC style, but make no mistake - it is a real 50-50 collaboration.
They've played it live together at festivals where they were both appearing - 8 times so far I believe - and each time it just looks like they're all enjoying themselves and enjoying each others company so much ... and of course the crowds have been having just as much fun.
Love your reaction.... just pure enjoyment. :) Electric Callboy are amazing.... it's a whole new rabbit hole. Try Tekkno Train next....
Also Electrict call boy inspiration related artist > Käärijä, not English performer but lyrics are available and well I think lots there for interpretation within the lyrics 😊 enjoyed this so much!
When it comes to Kevin and Nico, they ARE the mental health improvement. The energetic and positive vibes they produce are pure serotonin for the ears. It is literally impossible to hear Electric Callboy and be sad. And to bring Babymetal in on a track? Yeah the only thing that could ever be better would be experiencing it live.
Fun fact: The background growls towards the end are actually Momo Metal. She also let rip some growls in Momobanger (her taking over lead vocals in Headbanger from Su for her 20th birthday).
"Dancing is my first line of defense." Taylor Palmby 2024.
My life = Ren for rough days + Electric Callboy for the fun days.
This statement is way too underrated.
@@SavannahBrininstool no idea who you are but i Love you. 😘
Perfectly balanced, as all things should be. Screw Thanos, but still.
Electric Callboy is my jolt of serotonin for the day. My mental state has been crushed these past few months after loosing my job and being unable to find another yet. Lost my job because of my anxiety and depression and these guys have helped lift my spirit up when I'm falling into a dark spiral. (Who knew anxiety and depression aren't considered a disability with some companies...)
I recommend their cover of "Everytime We Touch" The music video always puts a smile on my face.
Ok so what an amazing reaction! This was the video that introduced me to Electric Callboy....and um I went down the rabbit hole fast and they are absolutely unique.❤
I really love seeing how EC brought out a more fun side of Babymetal. There's a live version of the two groups performing this in Germany and they all have giant smiles to the point of Moa and Momo actually cracking up on stage at one point. Just pedal to the metal fun.
Great reaction!👏👏👏 My "mental heart" song of Electric Callboy in the way of your words is "Prism". Music video (with former singer Sushi), the accustic version from radio B.O.B.and the audition/ cover of Nico (singer since spring 2020, my favourit version).
They are for sure worth a second, thirth and fourth look. "Hypa Hypa" helped many guys to survive the 2020 restrictions and further.
A good song to check out by Eskimo callboy is their "Every time we touch" cover. All their songs have fun sort of energy to them
Totally dancing out our troubles LET'S GO!!! this is perfect for mental health!!❤😂
I love during the breakdown how you can see all emotions fly by via face expressions xD "How many feelings did you feel?" "Yes"
Amazing reaction, very fun seeing you vibing hard to the song 🤣
If you want to react to more Electric Callboy that are plus more emotional and deep, you should check out Mindreader.
@@h3ynate and of course…”Hurrikan” 😖
The Electric Callboy rabbit hole is going to be a BLAST. They're incredible.
You need to watch We Got The Moves by Electric Callboy
So happy to see you discover Electric Callboy. They are happiness wrapped in a delicious metal coating.
Well, this was a happy song. Sometimes we´re also overwhelmed by good feelings, it´s okay to feel super happy and kinda silly at times. If you let people know, that you´re that, then they´re like : " Oh, ok :D :D."
And the good feelings and silly vibes are super infectious
Another good reaction from you! Plus you are always radiant and cheerful! You can only feel good after watching! :)
Look up "pump it" and "we got the moves"
No way she did came up with something for mental health with this song... I love this channel
i have a feeling "Hate//Love" by EC is more analyzable…
@@Patterner …And ……”Hurrikan”🖖🏽
You need to do a LOT more Electric Callboy!
For just a RATATA, you can check "Prisoner" by Novelists.
Not the same vibe though, but it slaps anyway
How can you make this about mental health? Easy!
This song is clinically proven to cure depression. So prescribe to all patients!😂.
If you’re now at least smiling or moving even a little bit, then you are probably already dead 🤣
🤘🦊
👍This x 💯. It's a fact that joyful, positive music can lift our spirt and mood.😊 🖖❤
For me "Megitsune" is the go go go song... it makes me forget about other stuff and just be in the moment... sometimes i listen to it when i walk home from train. usually it takes me 20 minutes to get home, but listening to that song, makes me move, move faster, and my record is 12 minutes, just listening to one song.
I LOVE the EC newbies when they see this!!!!
Please do more EC but I wouldn't be too bothered about finding a message in the lyrics if you can't. I think some people aren't lyrics people. The uplifting part doesn't have to be in the lyrics, it can be solely in the way the music sounds. Some music makes you feel happy or dance-y or depressed. The lyrics could be in any language but you'd still feel the emotion that the arrangement of the notes is putting across. I don't know what half EC's songs are about but I often feel overwhelming joy when I hear them.
You gotta check out their cover of Every Time We Touch, such a nice reflavoring of a love song to not about friendship.
PLEASE go down the Electric Callboy rabbithole. They are awesome!
This song is the perfect test. If someone is down, show them this song. If they're still depressed, than they need therapy.
You definitely do "ratatata" on hearts, love it!
Sometimes we just have to let things be fun! :)
BABYMETAL is my sustenance.
You should listen to BabyMetal's other recent collab, Leave It All Behind. Just make sure you turn on English captions. It's definitely a mental health song.
I'd give a limb for Taylor to give her two cents on CORPSE - Lifewaster.
🪩 ❤❤ 🦊 🔌
There are some other great recent BABYMETAL collaborations.
They were featured on 'LEAVE IT ALL BEHIND', an F.HERO track along with Thai Rock band Bodyslam.
That's the second song they've done with the Thai rapper F.HERO. He was featured on their song 'PA PA YA!!' in 2019.
And they finally performed 'Brand New Day' live with Tim Henson and Scott LePage of Polyphia.
There's a really great positive message in that one.
BABYMETAL make everything better.
Electric Callboy are fun. Definitly look at their other songs like Techno Train or Pump it. Another suggestion would be "ifa - Burn your desires"
Your reaction! Exactly the same as my reaction when first listening to it
This song is literally how I start my day. But Electric Callboy is literally just always fun. Although their most recent album DOES have a couple more serious songs if you wanna check those out, too.
When you listen to EC you don't need a therapist
This was the collab of the Summer!
I think you would have more to say about EC's song Love/Hate, check that video out.
Welcome in the Eletric CallBoy rabbit hole!
Yes! More Electric Callboy!
I really think "Arrow of Love" from Electric Callboy would fit perfectly to your Channel ❤
I really hope you can check more of the Electric Callboy material 🙏🏻 they are awesome! Maybe the songs Parasite and Mindreader are good ones for more mental health related topics. But at the end of the day i think EC is a band you listen because they can make you feel good 😄
Electric Callboy is just pure fun. They also have a couple of more serious songs though - Mindreader or Parasite would come to mind. Mentioning Shaking it out - Florence and the Machine have a song Shake it out, that is about mental health too.
Please react to “Parasite” by Electric Callboy.
It keeps all of their energy, but it explores a different set of feelings.
my favorite statements in reactions are along the lines of "i don't think i have ever listened to electric callboy." or similar x) surprise!
"How am I going to make this a mental health song"... honestly as someone that views EC as their Guilt-Free Pleasure band... I can attest just vibing to their music in general is a mental health boost lol. Legit feel its impossible to watch any of their videos and not just have an absolute blast with it.
While avoidance isn't advisable, sometimes you just need a distraction so you can keep going. If nothing else, they supply a distraction, that's therapeutic enough ;)
Do We Got the Moves next! I love your reactions so badly!
How about Etta James "I'd rather go blind" LIVE in Montreaux 1975. It's iconic and it'll change your life.
listen to their song Pump it
Citizen Soldier - Save Your Story would be a fantastic reaction that would mean alot.
Much better result than the last time Germany and Japan teamed up...
I think Babymetal's collaboration with Thai rapper F.HERO and Thai rock band Bodyslam, "Leave It All Behind," will provide you with more material for analysis as a therapist. It's a full collaboration, not a feature. Here's the link: th-cam.com/video/7rdc-QV6P6s/w-d-xo.html. Be sure to click CC for English subs.
@@gaplauche Yup👊🏽⚡️Agreed🦊🤘🏾
A song that I think might be great to react to as a therapist. Is a song called “Bad Seed” by the band Life of Agony. Is about the result of a son’s feelings after their mother takes her own life. The name of the album is called “River runs red.” That should tell you what the album is about.
If you want heartfelt positivity from music, I highly suggest checking out Band-Maid. Songs like Domination LIVE (not the MV), to Endless Story to Play Live to Bestie to No God, despite being at every corner of the rock spectrum, have their distinct brand of genuine positivity and sincerity that you rarely find in music.
Funny you used “LMFAO” as a reference because that’s how I describe Electric Callboy to people. The LMFAO of the Metal Scene!
Please react to We Got The Moves by Electric Callboy and see why it has 54 million views.
I knew that you'd like "Ratatata" 😁
The SchilloBros production company that made this video is run by Oliver Schillo, and his brother Pascal, who's also the rhythm guitarist of EC. They make most of EC's music videos.
Did you notice Kevin's turn at the end?
Check out Leave it all Behind by F.Hero featuring BabyMetal and Bodyslam.
Whenever I am trying to recover myself from a depression spiral, to get myself out of my head, I listen to my playlist that has a lot of Babymetal and Hanabie. My wife doesn't get it, especially when the songs involve screaming, but she is always happy to see me listening to it because she knows what it means.
Electric Callboy is a fast acting antidepressant
your reaction is outstanding ❣💓💗💞💟
my girlfriend says you should do "shake it out" by florence and the machine
Most of their songs are great for preconceived oppinions and reacting to unexpected situations!
Check out their making of and vlogs. Some of their latest vlogs were made with different themes. I loved the national geographic version, but the soap one was the best. And they aree really nice guys! AND GREAT ARTISTS AND ENTERTAINERS
