    Hello thanks for your video. I'm servicing my BX2350. I replaced bearings on my PTO shaft. But I'm a bit surprised because all the bearings on the front cover housing are "loose". Is that normal ? (It's my first time on this kind of machine).
    I saw some traces of wear but no measurable ovalization on more or less all the bearing housing in the front cover of the transmission.
    I you can tell me if this is normal or if I need to glue them with loctite 601 or stronger?
    Thanks.

    I had an issue with my BX2230 mowing last summer. There would be a strip of uncut grass, along with an occasional vibration (very slight) coming from the mower deck. I replaced the belt on the deck, and changed the gearbox fluid on the deck gearbox. There isn't any play on the front PTO shaft. Any ideas on what might be wrong?

    Q. can the 4wd shaft you showed at 4:15 be removed and replaced from underneath by just removing the front cover and without dropping the whole trans/dif assembly?
    I have a BX23 that works fine in 2wd, but in 4wd it sounds like the shaft splines are stripped or the gear teeth are chipped and under a load such as going uphill it makes a clicking sound at the output shaft and when it does this the front drive shaft stops spinning

    I was shifting from high to low today and something let go and now theres no low or neutral, but high still works. Any idea? Can't find anything online. The shift lever flops with no resistance if I try to shift it. Tractor is a year old with 75 hours, maybe a shear pin?

    I was trying to take off my trans cover and could not get it to slide off? One lever seems to be hanging it up? I small metal ball and spring fell out? Does that go in the hole behind the cover with the o-ring gasket? like a pressure check valve? and if so does the ball or spring face the front of the tractor? thanks if you can help.

      @ya472 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MessicksEquip Yes, blame the customer for an inadequate diff-lock. Increase the Pin size to 12mm, increase the pin length by 4mm, install an adjustable pedal stop, and properly instruct customers how to use the diff-lock. It isn't the engagement that damages the mechanism, it is lack of decisive dis-engagement. A customer should be informed how important quick dis-engagement is, as should the mechanics and sales staff.

    I know this is old video. But thanks. It would be nice to have some trouble shooting information so that we the buyers know if something needs repair or replacement... in my case, bx23 1100hrs. Services have always been done. Fwd motion is slower or struggling then before, all other hydraulic functions appear to be close to normal. I woild like to know what it might be or what needs to be repaired thanks.

    Interesting to see the inside of this transmission, but not really sure whether Mr. Eddie is familiar with this transmission. He mistakes pump shaft with motor shaft. It is vice versa of what he describes at 1:27. Clearly, the pump shaft is the one with the splines since it has to take power from the engine. Also, not really sure what he means with his explanation at 2:25, but essentially, if that were the case, it would make the PTO to spin in one direction when you go forward and the other direction when you go backwards. Make absolutely no sense. The so called PTO shaft (with splines sticking out) and the PTO itself are driven by the engine and not by the hydraulics in this transmission. Only PTO clutch is hydraulically operated. Oh, and he actually holds the swash plate upside down at 1:42.

      Yes, most Kubota mechanics, technicians, sales people and staff are generally clueless regarding function and engineering of their equipment. Most technicians are just parts replacers.

      @@MessicksEquip just curious..I’ve Been researching sub compacts and I’m seeing people break the rear pto that often takes out the transmission because the trans houses some of the pto components…how do you prevent that? One guy said he was Rototilling hit a rock then bam his 18k tractor was trashed because the rear pto took out his transmission case…I thought their was a clutch that would give way before damage to the Tractor occurred?

    • @MessicksEquip
      @MessicksEquip  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@oddlyrightoddlyright2475 its because people don't trim their PTO shafts, then when lowering the 3pt the implement shoves back into the gear case. If you trim your shaft correctly you won't have a problem.
