Thanks for being one of the few to be real about things no one truck is better than the other a ford can tow way better than a chevy but I think a chevy can climb huge hills way better it's all preference
I liked your comment and the honesty I am a Ford guy, but you didn't go off and spout nonsense, yes each truck has there strong points it's more about preference.
True, but on the flipside Ford and Ram have gone to boxed frames rather than C frames. Also both Ford and Ram are putting lockers now. GM was first to both. IFS on GM HDs are great with for towing and for driving around without a load and great for highway speeds with or without a load. Straight axles trucks need a load to go over 50 mph safely, at least that is what Ford and RAM are both saying in response to their class action lawsuits for death wobble.
There are 2 other vids on here, one from where I live here in Canada, doing the same kind of test. GMC and Ram tailgates would open, Ford did not. I guess there must be a conspiracy of locking the Ford tailgates in these tests to make Ford look bad.
rhauf1 Sometimes you don't want the diff to lock automatically. I would say having the ability to control the diff with a switch is a plus more than anything.

Keep in mind, stereotypically speaking, it's largely conservatives that reject the truth, after all, some of them are so dumb, they deny climate change exists, and some of them say this virus isn't real. My point? Both political parties are run by idiots and for idiots lol.
@Michael Farley II ... uhhh.. well 1st off the chevy/ fox was in 4wd and ford and dodge weren't!! Second I've owned gmc and there very expensive to fix and extremely expensive to buy new FORD and Dodge are alot cheaper and gmc are made for white collar people!!
This never gets old. Ive seen it a few times. For many years ive noticed how a ford looks when in an off camber. The 150s used to bust rear glass out when you twisted it. The GM diff is a big plus. Dodge body mounts hold about half gallon of rain water in each one. If you own one go loosen the body bolts and see. Just sayin. Fords the cheapest truck is why they sell more but that shows up in that resale number.
So you're wondering why ford sells more: Ford sells more because they sell a ton of stripped down fleet rucks for next to chicken scratch, which gets them sales tallies. GM doesn't offer anything less than a base equipped truck, even in fleet sales. You simply get a base truck, not a bare bones unit. You get what you pay for, though. A Chevy/GMC is way more reliable, more comfortable, bore capable truck. Also total both of the GM trucks (mechanically the same) together, and the sales gap closes dramatically. I drive a '97 Silverado 2500, and love it. Mine isn't as advanced as the new trucks, but even mine is stiffer than the Fords of it's day, and has the Eaton locking rear (GM RPO code: G86) in mine. It's great on slick and icy roads, which is what the roller ramp in the video simulates.
Actually Ford is generally more expensive than GM products. They get more sales because they offer a more dependable truck. GM's and Chryslers have "walk home" innovations. That means the ECU prevents the vehicle from running if it senses that one little thing is wrong to prevent any possible damage. Fords, though, don't have that. Which means they're not nearly as sensitive and therefore, much more reliable.
You know what’s funny is this is when the class action lawsuit would begin for the lml duramax that their fuel pump wasn’t compatible with us diesel fuel and was sending metal shavings into the motor and causing catastrophic failures
"the downside is you gotta push a button" really? I kinda like having control over when my truck does things. And bullshit, the Ford did not have the locking diff engaged.
Rigged test look at the ramps carefully and watch the wheel spin chevy has limited slip option. Ramps are made to increase wheel spin on drive tires without limited slip
The ford is also in 4x4 which caused wheel spin in the front and less power to the rear wheels. Both GMC trucks were 4×2 trucks so all weight and power were in the back
Fords were then and still are available with a locking diff, you can get them without, but they are available. My brother has one with, and I have looked at a few for sale with a locking diff
I like how they didn't even give the Dodge an attempt at the 2nd test. lol I'm a ford guy mostly but I do like Chevy also. The Chevy seats hurt my back after long trips. Fords are comfortable to me. As far as the tests go, anyone who would put their truck in that type of loading situation in test 2 would be nuts to begin with. According to the books on all three trucks, loading situations should be with the tires secured on the ground. I don't think the ford was "sagging" it was flexing and you want it to flex to maneuver the terrain. Just like a bridge flexes with heavy loads on it vs. being stationary and breaking.
@@chadchristianson8666 not at all a good comparison. There is a huge difference between hamburgers and trucks. People buy trucks for the features, looks, and reliability. People buy McDonald's hamburgers for price and speed of service. Not many people go out and buy a truck because it is cheaper, most will buy what they like more and buy based on previous experience. If someone has a bad experience with GM they might go to Ford or Dodge or a different manufacturer.
It's a good engine. I personally don't like how Chrysler handles quality control but the Cummins is by far a superior engine to the other diesel engines. I'd like to see that engine an a ford or chevy.
I wish I'd of rolled up in my 01 f150 in this differential test video.... but then I realized it was advertisement for GMCS. for those who don't know on a 1 ton truck like those, more "flex or sag"is actually better. better control against trailer sway and if your hauling something that would catch a big wind gust. "I'm gonna go buy a 1 ton dually and go rock climbing!" -said no man ever
Apparently it is too much work to reach over & hit the diff lock switch in the Ford. Some people like to have control of the locking diff. Can you disable it in the Chevy? I doubt it.
& I assume an automatic mechanical locking diff is easier & cheaper to build than a manual electronically locking one. I'd much rather have control of it.
There's ABSOLUTELY no benifit to having an unlocked diff. If you want to be in control of your truck that's understandable, buy a manual rather than an auto, ect. But to actuall want your diff unlocked under ANY circumstance is just plain stupid
Krissy Cullum There is a reason to have an unlocked diff. whenever you are turning one wheel will have to rotate more than the other to go around the turn if your diff is locked then you will be dragging a tire through part of the turn which will lead to imbalanced tire wear and premature failure. if there was no reason for an unlocked diff then they wouldn't make one
Krissy Cullum Have you ever tried to back up a trailer with a locked diff? Or any kind of tight maneuvers for that matter? Apparently not. Anyone who regularly uses their truck to do such things will tell you a locked diff is a pain in the ass and being able to engage it only when needed is best. Yeah, I know it's SUPPOSED to only lock when one tire spins but I wouldn't trust it - that thing would probably engage for no damn reason at the worst times. I'm pretty sure an automatic, mechanically locking diff is cheaper to manufacture & sell, but not nearly as user-friendly & compliant.
I'm neither a fan of Ford or GM, but all I see is GM trying to show they are better than Ford. If you are better then you don't need any kind of test showing you're the best. When you make such comparisons means you're a smaller competitor trying to prove yourself, right? I never see Mercedes having any kind of ads!
Kyle Harwood Funny i have own a lot of GM Cars and almost everyone blew there headgaskets I have had 1 ford explorer while all those headgasket were blowing on those chevys and never had 1 problem with my ford at 190k until i let someone use it and drove it on the highway in 4 low
Really, this is shit? Hmmm I am at an event and decided to film it before anyone was camera phone filming happy. Explain how GM paid me for this I would like to see that cashed check for my company.
+Auto Ad Builder dude, all ur tests were messed up, u can't have a truck in 2wd and another one in 4wd and test them, if ur testing them u have to have them both in 4wd or both in 2wd, and u have to have them both a dully and not just one a dully and the other not a dully
It was also nice to see them put the tailgate with one hand on the Ford and Dodge. They used both hands on the GMs. Anybody can see clearly what brand they are helping here. Why did they not put new tires on the Ford and Dodge?
RCHobbyReviews when you are chevy sponsored show... obviously you will make the compensation horrible! lol and the guy recording it sound like a jerk ward!
"why is it (ford f350) the best selling truck in america?" chevy rep:...silence (thinkin': it's a better truck that's why) * contrary to popular belief new buyers get real smart when it comes to spending their hard earned money
I have always been a die hard Ford guy. This time around I bought the Ram/Cummins. Why? I liked the truck better. They offer exactly the trim level I want, the interior is simple and the controls intuitive, the exterior is the most 'truck' of the trucks, and that Cummins is all business. I tow with this thing... set the cruise at 67 mph and it almost never shifts down no matter how steep the grade, boost comes up to 20 psi and up the hill she goes! The exhaust brake is the coolest thing since they put pockets on pants. No regrets here.
Why do they sell more? That's easy, more people and fleets buy them. But that does not mean they are the best. With that logic, McDonalds sell the most hamburgers, so they must be the best?
Gary Dixon , Play Authentic!!!! They are obviously trying to promote gmc. They clearly locked the diff in the rear so the truck could get up. Use your head. Here’s a fun fact: Gmc was also saved by China and are having more problems with their trucks than ever before. So don’t think you’re cool because you own a gmc and they put extra goodies into their trucks
jake smith i have seen one before it did better than the ford had about half the flex as the ford but worse than the chevy had an almost 100% ridge frame
You know why Ford outsell all other trucks? Because all your fucking test are flawed. In a real life work environment, YOU WANT a chassi that flex A solid frame would snap all the welds down the line. You're ramp test is flawed because obviously the ford did not have a locking posi, it something you would buy upgraded from a dealership. This entire video is paid by GM lol, I don't think you guys know how to test a truck.
I am an ASE certified tech.... The chevy/gmc GOVLOC diffs like the ones shown, blow up quick with A heavy right foot... I replace them all the time! They have several small spinning parts inside.
I may be wrong but I believe the gate on the Ford truck is locked (3:00). That's why the guy couldn't open it. I don't know the exact name of the components in the locking mechanism, but when the gate is UNLOCKED, whether it is jammed or not, you will still here a click once the handle is lifted up about halfway. I didn't even here the click. The absence of sound during the full range of movement of the tail gate handle is an indication that the tail gate is locked. The only sound made was when the tailgate handle was lifted all the way up to its mechanical limit. Try this on your own vehicles and listen for the sound. Just my observation.
A flexible frame is important for when a heavy load is on the truck. This reduces the chance of the truck flipping when for any reason the load moves or shifts inside the bed.
This is a GMC guy that's why he's giving credit to GMC, if u go to dodge test they'll give credit to dodge. I think every truck has goods and bads. I own a Ford F-250 and a Dually Denali and they're both great. I use to own a dodge before I had the Denali and it was a great truck too. So I think all trucks are good as long as they're diesel and straight piped
So in a flex test, and off roaders know this test, more flexibility is better. However, doing a flex test on a big ass dually truck which most will only see some dirt roads with possibly a few good holes is pretty irrelevant. .....js
friend of mine jus bought a 2016 Chevy 2500 and I can say that in my opinion they do have the best looking interior on the market. But that's as far as it goes
People buy Ford's more. Cause they are normally cheaper. As you see in the flex test! You get what you pay for!!! Chevy/GMC all the way everyday!!!!👍👍👍💪💪💪💪💪
Okay this is the dumbest thing I have ever seen... They have rollers on the fucking ramp... The denali only makes it up because it has a limited slip rear differential and the left ramp has rollers 3/4ths of the way up (and that is the power tire on open differential base model trucks like the Chevy Silverado.) The denali is the top of the line truck made by general motors chevrolet and they took a dodge 2500 Cummins and a base model f350 and put it against it. This is just another foolish Chevrolet add scheme to win the hearts of foolish people that don't know basic mechanics of a truck...
Zack Kelly actually, the denali is the highest as it comes with all z71 options as well. you have the rancho suspension, eaton e-locker, and the better gear ratio
Tyler Grenier wrong again. The z71 package is not standard on Denali trucks. All these gm trucks have the Eaton G80 electronic locker. My 15 year old, my 2000 Silverado 1500, rclb, is a z71 z85 with the G80 option. It has never let me down. I've wheeled my truck in Colorado and drive it daily in TN.
Balakis Hakis it must be a location thing, where I live I see significantly more 80’s and 90’s fords than I do chevys of the same age. 90’s dodges are more common than 90’s chevys.
Daren James The chevy is fucked if it had a load in the bed. the ford locks ALL locks when its put in gear. thats why the tailgate would not open. that locking hub on the chevy is coming apart if your at 4000 rpms when it kicks in. DON'T INSULT US CHEVY., YOUR TRUCKS SUCK. BOTTOM LINE
Im a chevy gmc guy and the only reason I wont be buying another is because OBAMA owns it. Ford all the way now. An all the BS is BS on both sides. Except ford didnt sale out. An Dodge is for the ladies now days only reason to buy one is the mega cab back seat action for BBW.

What does every one get so but hurt about this they are simply testing the trucks buy a diesel 2500 of any of those three brands and you will be happy.....I like chevy.....but ford and dodge have parts of there trucks that may beat chevy every one needs to chill learn your trucks a little more cummins engines are great but the transmission that dodge uses in there trucks are shit the duramax engine is definitely good and allison transmission can't be argued it is the best on the market apart from after market....power stroke engines are also great but I don't particularly like the transmission that ford uses its just rough to me what I'm trying to say is people just chill like the truck you have buy the truck you like bad mouth other trucks some but for real now none of these trucks are bad and NONE ARE PERFECT ik my truck isn't but I still prefer it And also yes this was in some ways rigged I hate sales men I prefer to drive the truck and tell the little bitch sales men to shut up
Everyone gets butt-hurt because this test is so OBVIOUSLY skewed to favor the Chevy. 1) They do a "traction" test and use a pair of Chevys with a locker and a Dodge and Ford without. DUUUUHHH...why not make it more obvious and take the wheels off the Ford and Dodge and then run the traction test. 2) They don't even run the Dodge on the frame flex. Hmmmm...cause the Chevy would LOSE to it. In my opinion, each truck has strengths, and depending on what you desire in a truck, you will be happy with each. I desire longevity. The Powerstroke Million Mile club has a dozen members, maybe. There ISN'T a Duramax Million Mile Club. The Cummins Million Mile Club has so many members they have their own magazine (some ARE just guys who hope to get to 1,000,000 someday). My brother subscribed to the magazine for years, and every year there would be 2-3 more guys mentioned who reached a million on their trucks. So I have a 2500 Dodge with a manual with 318,000 on it that can still throw me back in the seat and break the tires loose and there is NO WAY anyone could convince me to buy something different unless my desire for what my truck needs to do for me changes.
Ryan resa it is not skewed. Gm has had lockers in the rear for some time now 2wd and 4wd. They did the same test with the dodge and it performed as well as the chevy in th frame test. To this day ford still makes flimsey frames while dodge and chevy's show now twist at all.
I'm fixing a timing chain on a 2007 Chevrolet 2500 so dependable of a truck isn't it. anything modern is a piece of crap! Any of the LS engine's you can't rebuild it because you can't overbore it out because there blocks are weak there throw away motors. Every brand has there flaws I say it's not worth buying a new vehicle. Just build up and old one and it's going to be more reliable anyways.
But it's not true. Drive them in the real world under real world conditions and you'll see. Unrealistic "tests" are set up only to attack, nothing true. Still cute test for being fake.
+Creme De La Creme, most people that buy fords, buy them for what they are a truck. we use them. everyone I know that owns a Chevy truck don't want to put anything in it. they don't use them for what they were initially made for, work.
+Creme De La Creme not around here. of course, in my town and north of here you see more fords than you see chevys or dodge, but if you go south of here, you see a lot more dodges. personally, I prefer fords. I've owned all three and the only ones that I hardly ever had the hood up on was the fords. my chevy problems were heads and head gaskets. dodge problems were ever thing but the engine itself, radiators starters, fuel pumps, etc.
+Creme De La Creme ford has had tougher and more powerful engines than Chevy the only real competition to ford is doge Chevy is way behind because they won't change their power train ! You are so bias by the way! Do some research! And think about this, if you put a truck through hell and torched and it gives 200k but you don't do a thing with the other and only gives you 300k you'll know which was the better truck! The 200k is practically ever ford ever made!
Why Ford sells more? They TOW more. Why would you torque the body hazardously? If you drive on terrain that's as dramatic as those offset ramps, there are better trucks to do it with... Knuckle head.
it doesnt matter what you say its quite obvious that the gm took more time to put quality into all their trucks rather than ford slapping a bunch together and saying their the best selling. i dont give a fucking rats ass if their the best selling im gonna buy a gm or chevy because i know that they are the toughest well built trucks you can buy.
hiptochromniack have to agree with you the articulation is important to me also. I know if all 4 are on the ground I'm a lot more stable with more traction.
I know that but I was saying a limited slip on the others would work better than the open diff they were paired with idk why u have to be so mean about it but whatever makes you feel better
ike fun I’m saying you can get the ram and the ford from the factory with a limited slip so if you test them it makes sense to use the best from each manufacturer
+Cole McElroy The raptor isn't even a fair comparison lol. You'd have to take a Chevy and make it 2 feet wider and put a performance engine in it, all new suspension, etc. That's what the raptor has. They're 2 completely different classes of vehicles. That's like comparing a Honda Civic to a Porsche.
Being a mechanic for 40 years, it's all nits and bolts....they're all comparable with each other. It's about price, creature comforts and personal preference.
I’m not going go no to complain about it being a biased video but someone that isn’t biased should do a truck on all three dualies (ford, Chevy, dodge) and all have 4x4 and all have all the options. The guy made it obvious that he was a Chevy fan (so am I but still) so of course he’s gonna make that truck seem better
jeff m they were showing off the AUTOlocking diff not the ford/dodge manual lock diff think if you were going up a hill hauling a bob cat and you have cars behind you up a steep grade if the chevy/gmc started to slide it would auto lock and you would not have to stop and put the truck in to neutral then let off the brake and you would have to roll backwards once you let off the brake causing problems, in other words to lock the diff in the ford/dodge you would have to come to a complete stop put the tuck in neutral let off the brake the truck will roll you'll hear a click "the locker locking" the stop the brake to keep you from rolling more down the hill all while cars are behind you honking etc.. while in the chevy you just keep going with out stopping and losing very valuable momentum.
So the other question is did they turn on the electronic locking differential on the ford. if not it is just a open rear end explaning why only one rear tire spun. I have that option on my f250 and once turned on it becomes a posy rear end. Even if i put itin 4 wheel drive i still have to pull the nob out to lock the rear end.
Chevy Padilla if you look at prices pretty much every make and model in the same class depending on the specs are generally the same. this is all more of a preference thing than anything. every vehicle is a peace of shit built to fail.
Cobra Padilla hell no a Ford is probably the most expensive out of them all, 2017 f150s go up to 70k, and then the platinum f150's come up to 95k to 105k and then the 2017 f150 Shelby go past 105k on a base model...
To all the skeptics out there, this is no joke or lie. I have tried all 3 trucks & must say Chevy is the best in off-road, comfort, & quality. First field job and my Ford was stuck to the chassis, never experienced this with my bowtie. It has never got stuck or left me stuck in the middle of nowhere.
I want to know what options the dodge and the ford had, gmc's/chevy in this test obviously had factory locking diff's. What did the ford and dodge have for options?
Well this just proves it. Ford makes crap. Why Does ford sell more? Well because they incentive the crap out of their trucks. So Ford does do one thing right. That is Marketing.
Ford has better torque and horsepower ratings in thier 6.7 and as you have seen from previous comments that the people who tow here know that a frame that flexes a bit is better than one that doesn't. Also I'm willing to bet not all Chevys have the locker it's probably an option that Chevy has along with ford they just put the more well equipped Chevy up against the ford that doesn't have the optional limited slip diff or electronic locker so they could fool all the yuppies at the GMC car show.
most people don't take their big trucks off road anyways so that point, moot at best. Fords have changed their engines how many taime in the lst ten years? I wouldn't buy another ford again if I won it in a lottery! Frucking junk.
C Steele you're about a fart smucker are you not? these trucks were originally designed and built for loginf in the mountains back in the early 70's and guess where most of these trucks were used? thats right OFF ROAD ! this is the most biaesd video i ever saw! they use a loaded chevy truck with all the drive train options and they use a standard ford how screwed up is that? these are work trucks farm trucks and the majority of them are used off road in fields and fire trails so get your facts straight smart guy and tell me why ford trucks have been the best selling trucks in america for the last 10 years!! and the moron in the video don't know what to say when he is confronted with that fact!! chevy falls apart ford gets the job done and i don't want a truck unless its built ford tuff!!
Best selling tells me a lot. It tells me that so many can be brainwashed by smart advertising guru's for one. Two When I say offroad, I meant like OFF road, heavy wheeling. You're right most are haulers, farm vehicles dirt road drivers. If you think this is bias whatch a few "ford" videos. whether it is or not that's up for you to decide as the consumer. But they all do little tricks. Ford is flip over, repair daily and will be the first that gets cut in my shopping list. It's a Crappy diesel for one and a heaving pile of crap for two. Don't get offended. I've had three (fords) and never again. One other thing about Ford, it's the number one resold truck.... you have to ask yourself. Why is that? Not cause of love. Cause it starts failing and they need to go buy another new one. Brand loyalty, is for idiots and fools.
Because you never know when you're going to go rock crawling in heavy duty towing rig.
Yeah I tow my dually with my jeep so i can go rock crawling
Its about Torque twist on the frame when hauling heavy
And a tualy the Ford would do better at rock crawling. Because you need more flex. So ur comment is ass backwards
You never know when there will be ice and snow on the highway while towing...
Tell me you live in a major city without telling me
You choose trucks with open diffs and put them against trucks with lockers. Good job on showing the obvious.
Most Chevy/GMC comes with self locking rear. Even base models come with it. That's not their problem that other manufacturers are cheap.

my thoughts exactly.... its a chevy biased test
IF it doesn't lock automatically, people who are too stupid to press the button will get stuck. therefore, it's inferior (for tards)

It's what happens when you're done "stroking"....
A test comparison by GM....the outcome was such a shock....
i like how he just feathers the gas on the dodge but floors it in the gm
Other way around
Which means they're not nearly as sensitive and therefore, much more reliable.
perfect answer right there. 100% truth.
Wow I'm impressed how some idiots pretend to be so informed, and know it all!! do you know that fords are more expensive than Chevys?? Just saying.
Thank you very much. Plus GM splits their sales between Chevy and GMC. Ford still out sells them, but it's based on the reason above.
yup
You know what’s funny is this is when the class action lawsuit would begin for the lml duramax that their fuel pump wasn’t compatible with us diesel fuel and was sending metal shavings into the motor and causing catastrophic failures
I know what’s funny ford death wobble lmao
"the downside is you gotta push a button" really? I kinda like having control over when my truck does things. And bullshit, the Ford did not have the locking diff engaged.
i wanted to see the ford and ram try it in 2wd as well .......
They choose trucks that aren't similarly equipped. They intentionally picked a ram without an Limited slip...Rigged comparison.
Rigged test look at the ramps carefully and watch the wheel spin chevy has limited slip option. Ramps are made to increase wheel spin on drive tires without limited slip
The ford is also in 4x4 which caused wheel spin in the front and less power to the rear wheels. Both GMC trucks were 4×2 trucks so all weight and power were in the back
not sponsored by chevy at all
or gmc
Carbon2983 Trains GMC is part of Chevy
Gm owns gmc and Chevy
The guy is wearing a GMC shirt and hat
We use this truck to haul the ram (no license plate)
yeah I'm going to sit here and let a car dealership tell me what company is better goodbye
What do you mean by that?
you don't enjoy someone proving to you which truck is the true performer?
+supersoni126 NO one is proving me anything?
+Auto Ad Builder wasn't talking to you... but if the shoe fits.
+supersoni126 What ever nerd
Y'all are real fair and unbiased!
you don't simply trust comparison made by a truck manufacturer😂
It really seems like ford and dodge would know about locking difs and stuff right? Maybe they just left the other two in 2wd.
I agree
Fords were then and still are available with a locking diff, you can get them without, but they are available. My brother has one with, and I have looked at a few for sale with a locking diff
Im still only buying the ford maybe a dodge never chevy or gmc
Andrew Lighthill agree
When you keep making bogus ads and paying off adverts but ford still destroys your sales every year 😂
And Mc Donald’s sells billions of hamburgers.....but they’re not the best. Congratulations Ford is the McDonalds of trucks!!😂
Why didn't they use same class trucks in the test? Why didn't we see a Dodge dually compared to the Chevy on the frame test?
Cuz Dodge ram trucks it comes out the same as Chevy and this is a Chevy promoder
Dang my 04 chevy v6 endures more stress. Than any of those tests when i drive it up my driveway out in the country
Yes I love the Dodge Rams with the "Cummings" turbo diesel.
It's a good engine. I personally don't like how Chrysler handles quality control but the Cummins is by far a superior engine to the other diesel engines. I'd like to see that engine an a ford or chevy.
It’s Cummins stop saying Cummings it’s Cummins! I’m a powertroke guy but I can’t stand when people mis pronounce a motor
Power stroke
I wish I'd of rolled up in my 01 f150 in this differential test video.... but then I realized it was advertisement for GMCS. for those who don't know on a 1 ton truck like those, more "flex or sag"is actually better. better control against trailer sway and if your hauling something that would catch a big wind gust.
"I'm gonna go buy a 1 ton dually and go rock climbing!" -said no man ever
Kody Kill i mean if you want the frame to rust out go ahead
Krissy Cullum Unlocked diff will also get slightly better MPG's
I'm neither a fan of Ford or GM, but all I see is GM trying to show they are better than Ford. If you are better then you don't need any kind of test showing you're the best. When you make such comparisons means you're a smaller competitor trying to prove yourself, right?
I never see Mercedes having any kind of ads!
What did they expect with an open-differential? My truck would walk right up that in 2-wheel drive also.
your truck is a pile of shit you moron. how many times have you had to buy injectors or head gaskets. LMAO brain dead idiot.
"Oh wow it's got a rear camera too" nice paid advertisement.
I wish I had gotten paid for this filming advertisement.
+Auto Ad Builder you did because the test is shittttt
Really, this is shit? Hmmm I am at an event and decided to film it before anyone was camera phone filming happy. Explain how GM paid me for this I would like to see that cashed check for my company.
+Auto Ad Builder dude, all ur tests were messed up, u can't have a truck in 2wd and another one in 4wd and test them, if ur testing them u have to have them both in 4wd or both in 2wd, and u have to have them both a dully and not just one a dully and the other not a dully
+Cory Waterman You got a point with the different configurations... but, these videos still are good and prove something.
It was also nice to see them put the tailgate with one hand on the Ford and Dodge. They used both hands on the GMs.
Anybody can see clearly what brand they are helping here.
Why did they not put new tires on the Ford and Dodge?
So is this a Chevy promotional thing or something?
Oh heavily. Thats why they kept going "oh chevy this, Oh chevy that" like a bunch of 5 year old girls.
exactly
*****
What are you talking about. First, everyone knows that. Second, we were talking about how it was obviously a promotional thing for chev
RCHobbyReviews when you are chevy sponsored show... obviously you will make the compensation horrible! lol and the guy recording it sound like a jerk ward!
"why is it (ford f350) the best selling truck in america?"
chevy rep:...silence (thinkin': it's a better truck that's why)
* contrary to popular belief new buyers get real smart when it comes to spending their hard earned money
Which is why ford is still number one
I have always been a die hard Ford guy. This time around I bought the Ram/Cummins. Why? I liked the truck better. They offer exactly the trim level I want, the interior is simple and the controls intuitive, the exterior is the most 'truck' of the trucks, and that Cummins is all business. I tow with this thing... set the cruise at 67 mph and it almost never shifts down no matter how steep the grade, boost comes up to 20 psi and up the hill she goes! The exhaust brake is the coolest thing since they put pockets on pants. No regrets here.
I'm going to guess the test where rigged. Sence this is a Chevy sponsored thing.
🤣
Why do they sell more? That's easy, more people and fleets buy them. But that does not mean they are the best. With that logic, McDonalds sell the most hamburgers, so they must be the best?
Actually yes by this logic you just stated twat
I will keep my Ford truck after all.
I don't believe you.
I dont believe them either ford is still # 1 and never needed a bail out
you dont believe them after they just proved it?? ford Fanboy
Ford has had government bail outs before. I've owned a Ford, their garbage!
Play Authentic!!!! They are constantly in my shop getting fixed! Agreed
A test sponsored by GMC and the GMC won. How ironic. These tests are jokes.
tell me about it
Vance Meeks it's called a G-80 locker
where is a dodge ram frame test ....
They couldn't find a way to get it to fail the test so they cut it out.
jake smith i have seen one before it did better than the ford had about half the flex as the ford but worse than the chevy had an almost 100% ridge frame
jake smith .😃
the dodge does not twist there is another video ford vs dodge same shit no need to compare dodge and GM as they perform the same
Ryan Arends idiot.
GM is simply the best automotive company hands down.
but the data says otherwise. GM has been at the bottom for a long time
They just hating on Ford and Dodge 😂
You know why Ford outsell all other trucks?
Because all your fucking test are flawed.
In a real life work environment, YOU WANT a chassi that flex
A solid frame would snap all the welds down the line.
You're ramp test is flawed because obviously the ford did not have a locking posi, it something you would buy upgraded from a dealership.
This entire video is paid by GM lol, I don't think you guys know how to test a truck.
shouldn't the locking posi come with the truck? so in a way you buy Ford then upgrade it to compare to a chevy
+Monera96 Well... Where is a $, was given for me by GM?
Now you know what your talking about! 😀#ford
+Creme De La Creme
i agree 100% with you chevy was the way to go instead i got a ford as well smh
The reason ford sells more because construction company's buy them for work trucks because they are so much cheaper
That fuckin tailgate is locked
Omg I completely forgot I wanted to park my new truck like that
A flexible frame is important for when a heavy load is on the truck. This reduces the chance of the truck flipping when for any reason the load moves or shifts inside the bed.
Wrong. You want your chassis as rigid as possible. You want your suspension to handle the shifts.
not at all. Plus boxed frames are junk, and these GMT 900 trucks have had corrosion issues because of it@@Jaxboy86
More rigged than 9/11
I learned a long time ago that GM sponsored "tests" are just like watching WWF.
Who kneeds to load stuff in the bed at that angle anyway
Ford is always the best selling truck in the US because they finance just about anyone that's the answer. Remember "Drive Chevy's"
Aren't these differentials available on all models?
I know it is on the Ram
I understand Lockers but flexing is part of a truck it help in a off-roading greatly. Truck just have flex.
It depends on what you want a truck for
you want the wheels and suspension to flex, NOT the body/bed
Yeah Chevy also comes out with new hand warmers on the tailgate that way when you're pushing it your hands don't get cold
This is like listening to a bad car salesman trying to sell you extended coverage for your car lol
Plus did anyone notice how they drove the dodge and the ford on the ramp?!?! Haha.
Chevy/GMC all the way everyday!!!!👍👍👍💪💪💪💪💪
steven your an idiot
steven ford and cheap in the same sentence? Shit you are a fucking dumbshit
Makes a difference having a locking diff
It's stupid that it doesn't come stock on all trucks....even more stupid that people by trucks without them.
Good comparison, I always like GMC or Chevy more that anything else... ✌🏻😎
A little research might do you good. The gmc being tested is the base model. Denali is not a performance package, it is a luxury interior package.
Chris Cubberley The GMC was a Denali. The Ford was a King Ranch. The Ram was a Long Horn.
Chad Oakley Z71 is not available on Denali 1500 and 3500. It's an option on the 2500
put 2000 lbs in the chevy bed and frame will break, thats why semis have flexible frames.
+I Take L's no he's right
atleast the Chevy bed won't break with a tool box
Fake own a chevy put 2500 lbs on it. And traveled 150 miles did just fine except for the spring leaves touching that how you know u over weight
I have to say, I'm very impressed that strong gmc truck!
The test is biased
Hello I'm gm, I like to rig up tests so I win.
The truth😂😂😂
All companies do it what do u expect lmao
Fords will always be better though
Yees
You want to know who has the longest lasting truck, look on the streets. More Fords than any other !
Because they're not even a decade old yet, I see chevys of all ages.
Balakis Hakis it must be a location thing, where I live I see significantly more 80’s and 90’s fords than I do chevys of the same age. 90’s dodges are more common than 90’s chevys.
that's how GM does it
Recalls
have you seen the guy presenting? he is obviously working for gmc
Ur point?
Tony Mattingly my point is obviously he will make gmc look better
Very biased, they used a 1500 Series Denali vs a F-350 Ford and 2500 RAM
Read the side it said Denali HD and count the lug nuts theres 8 on each wheel. Thats not a 1500 Denali.
Yeah I rewatched it. But with the bed flex test, ther didn't even bother to go against a RAM...I wonder why...
Victoria Kohles
So you're saying that they used a Ford and Dodge that cost $10K more than the Chevy and the Chevy still preformed better?
Daren James The chevy is fucked if it had a load in the bed. the ford locks ALL locks when its put in gear. thats why the tailgate would not open. that locking hub on the chevy is coming apart if your at 4000 rpms when it kicks in. DON'T INSULT US CHEVY., YOUR TRUCKS SUCK. BOTTOM LINE
Yes I got a question. I have a 2006 2500 dodge Cummins an would like to know how much would it cost to do that for my truck?
Im a chevy gmc guy and the only reason I wont be buying another is because OBAMA owns it. Ford all the way now. An all the BS is BS on both sides. Except ford didnt sale out. An Dodge is for the ladies now days only reason to buy one is the mega cab back seat action for BBW.
stop it man obama owns it wow how sad life will never be a better place with you in it but really we need people like you in the world too show gods good work negative people like you only make the world a harder place to be in
***** no the gov still has worthless stock thet was worth 100 a share ,,now cant sell ,,only worth 21 a share, plus the billions gm used for r/d while the gov owned the ,,everyone forgets the VOLT,
What does every one get so but hurt about this they are simply testing the trucks buy a diesel 2500 of any of those three brands and you will be happy.....I like chevy.....but ford and dodge have parts of there trucks that may beat chevy every one needs to chill learn your trucks a little more cummins engines are great but the transmission that dodge uses in there trucks are shit the duramax engine is definitely good and allison transmission can't be argued it is the best on the market apart from after market....power stroke engines are also great but I don't particularly like the transmission that ford uses its just rough to me
what I'm trying to say is people just chill like the truck you have buy the truck you like bad mouth other trucks some but for real now none of these trucks are bad and NONE ARE PERFECT ik my truck isn't but I still prefer it
And also yes this was in some ways rigged I hate sales men I prefer to drive the truck and tell the little bitch sales men to shut up
Everyone gets butt-hurt because this test is so OBVIOUSLY skewed to favor the Chevy.
Ryan resa oh yeah ik this is very very skewed in chevys favor but people just can't deal with the fact that it is
Ryan resa
it is not skewed. Gm has had lockers in the rear for some time now 2wd and 4wd. They did the same test with the dodge and it performed as well as the chevy in th frame test. To this day ford still makes flimsey frames while dodge and chevy's show now twist at all.
hell my old 1990 Gmc S15 4x4 came factory with a 3;42 locking diff and I got the original sales sticker that was in the window to prove it
I'm fixing a timing chain on a 2007 Chevrolet 2500 so dependable of a truck isn't it. anything modern is a piece of crap! Any of the LS engine's you can't rebuild it because you can't overbore it out because there blocks are weak there throw away motors. Every brand has there flaws I say it's not worth buying a new vehicle. Just build up and old one and it's going to be more reliable anyways.
the fact the chevy uses a wax frame coating which just rubs off isnt mentioned
i bet that frame rusted out aint so stiff
Cute video, not correct but cute. When selling a product you must first attack the top seller then claim your product is better with tricks.
what if it's true though?
To each their own.
hiptochromniack have to agree with you the articulation is important to me also. I know if all 4 are on the ground I'm a lot more stable with more traction.
Couldn’t also you get the ram with a rear limited slip and the ford to if I’m not mistaken
I know that but I was saying a limited slip on the others would work better than the open diff they were paired with idk why u have to be so mean about it but whatever makes you feel better
ike fun I understand but it would have been a more fair test
ike fun I’m saying you can get the ram and the ford from the factory with a limited slip so if you test them it makes sense to use the best from each manufacturer
ike fun I don’t even like ford actully every one my family has owned has been absolutely trash
GMC = MONSTER AS ALWAYS
Raptor vs any gmc
+Cole McElroy The raptor isn't even a fair comparison lol. You'd have to take a Chevy and make it 2 feet wider and put a performance engine in it, all new suspension, etc. That's what the raptor has. They're 2 completely different classes of vehicles. That's like comparing a Honda Civic to a Porsche.
+Cole McElroy Chevy Reaper. It's the raptor reaper.
Isuzu Duramax buy it magnetic shocks Michigan college students made G.M.says it's their great invention
Some People!!! Probably the stupidest comparison.....
Some People!!! Using stupidest as if it were a word! What a stupid comment. Perhaps the most stupid comment out there!
urangostang and your comment was suppose to make you come across as???
URANGOSTANG as a username...You kidding me?
Being a mechanic for 40 years, it's all nits and bolts....they're all comparable with each other. It's about price, creature comforts and personal preference.
totally not rigged at all.
Anything to sell more shittys, I'll stick with Ford thank you
I’m not going go no to complain about it being a biased video but someone that isn’t biased should do a truck on all three dualies (ford, Chevy, dodge) and all have 4x4 and all have all the options. The guy made it obvious that he was a Chevy fan (so am I but still) so of course he’s gonna make that truck seem better
so he has said that the Chevy has lockers on it but he told guy driving ford not to engage his lockers so is this test skewered? yeah I think it is.
jeff m they were showing off the AUTOlocking diff not the ford/dodge manual lock diff think if you were going up a hill hauling a bob cat and you have cars behind you up a steep grade if the chevy/gmc started to slide it would auto lock and you would not have to stop and put the truck in to neutral then let off the brake and you would have to roll backwards once you let off the brake causing problems, in other words to lock the diff in the ford/dodge you would have to come to a complete stop put the tuck in neutral let off the brake the truck will roll you'll hear a click "the locker locking" the stop the brake to keep you from rolling more down the hill all while cars are behind you honking etc.. while in the chevy you just keep going with out stopping and losing very valuable momentum.
+i dont #EveryOtherTruckIsHistory #Ford
So the other question is did they turn on the electronic locking differential on the ford. if not it is just a open rear end explaning why only one rear tire spun. I have that option on my f250 and once turned on it becomes a posy rear end. Even if i put itin 4 wheel drive i still have to pull the nob out to lock the rear end.
Put a Dodge power wagon on there and see what happens with front and rear lockers. Can do it in 2 wheel and 4. BIOTCH.

be cause ford is cheaper then chevy and gmc that why people buy more ford
You really think that? I don't know they all seem expensive to me these days.
Chevy Padilla if you look at prices pretty much every make and model in the same class depending on the specs are generally the same. this is all more of a preference thing than anything. every vehicle is a peace of shit built to fail.
a new 350 or 450 is a 75k truck
Cobra Padilla hell no a Ford is probably the most expensive out of them all, 2017 f150s go up to 70k, and then the platinum f150's come up to 95k to 105k and then the 2017 f150 Shelby go past 105k on a base model...
Cobra Padilla cheaper and just as good lol
I buy ford, because its better! Not to mention your severely outdated interior chevy offers. its hideous
I don't like ford
Totally Bias you compare all 3 on the hill climb but leave Ram out on the flex test ? Or did I miss it?
why is ford the best selling truck
because its 10 times more bad ass
Ford people buy a lot of New Ford’s because they always break down so they have to buy a new one
Your are correct Elijah, i have a repair shop and always cringe when i see a ford coming and having to deal with the owners.....yikes.
I saw more Chevrolet is broke down all time than ford hard to break down Chevrolet is so dumb nuts
Hello stupid Chevrolet is dump and dumplings you are no good junk
Oh yes a Ford 3500 versus as doge 2500 that is completely Fair 😑
LMAO nice try..what's the matter? Having trouble selling that GM JUNK ?
Ryan Lewis the locker is not a standard part of the truck! and the chevy is crap with a stiff frame when it comes to off road abilitys!
most people don't take their big trucks off road anyways so that point, moot at best.
Is that why owners of new GM 4x4 truck's are replacing new front independent axles with a solid one like Ford and Dodge have.
Oh wow a rear camera.......does it come with the heated tail gate too?
Chevy makes the best trucks ever made. Ford has kept tow trucks in business since 1903
