  • In this video, I will share with you almost an hour of vintage lawn and garden tractors and equipment; tv commercials, magazine advertisements and sales brochures. I covered every make of machine I could find, but I am certain there are more that I missed. Please feel free to add ones you've found that I omitted in the comments section. Thank You for watching and please consider subscribing to my channel

This takes me back to when I was a kid. They made a lot of good brands of tractors back then. As a kid we did not have a lot of money back then. We had a Sears 8hp 36" deck lawn tractor. We later had an old Dynamark 10hp 36" deck lawn tractor. After that we started moving up. We had an old Cub Cadet 125 with a hydro transmission and later a John Deere Sabre lawn tractor. One of my neighbors had a Cub Cadet 1650 and that is where my love started for the Cub Cadets which is why we bought the CC 125. Another neighbor had a Ford LGT 125 and it was later replaced by a newer Jacobson that was 12hp with a 50" deck. Jacobson made the Ford garden tractors and they where very nice. One of my uncles had several Wheel Horses and a few Pennsylvania Quality mowers. Wish I could go back to those days at times. It was much better times to live in America back then.

I had a 1650 a couple of years ago with two hydraulic outlets on it and what a beast it was! We only had a little John Deere 65 riding lawn mower when I was a kid even though we mowed about 5 acres including the elementary school. Dad bought a Roper after that, a Craftsman and a Deere that’s still going

I really enjoyed the video and you did an awesome job putting it together ! I would love to have about a dozen different lawn tractors lol . I found a few that I never heard of before . I think the most famous mower would be the Snapper with the rear engine a lot of people swore by those . They cut good with the one blade . Thanks for sharing and have a blessed day !

Thank You. Everyone I ever knew who had a snapper like Forrest Gump loved it. The old ones had handlebars too. My brother had a John Deere 56? When I was really little and it had handlebars on it. These type videos take hours and hours to make haha. Thank You for watching and have a great week!

Interesting video, nice to I see those old ads. I did want to point out that in your opening monologue it comes across like simplicity jumped on the bandwagon in the late 60’s. The reality is that they were in the picture in the 50’s. They started with the walk behinds you mentioned earlier, they then turned them around and added front tires and made a riding lawnmower in the mid 50’s, then in the late 50’s they made a garden tractor…. All this was done before Deere and IH.

Hi Tom! I looked at the spring connected to the idler cog on my fertilizer distributor and it measures 2 inches not counting the hooks on each end. It is a little larger in diameter than a round lead pencil and keeps the cog snug on the chain.

What a great find, to see the clean suburbs, and well mannered people, having smiles and no wokeness to speak of , those were the good old days, before the reset to hell.

Seriously? They're commercials. How many commercials have you seen filmed on the bad side of town? There have never not been ghettos. And what does wokeness have to do with tractors and manicured lawns? I'm not some super SJW liberal but you people are just as bad, politicizing vintage lawn mower commercials for God's sake.
