Your Guide On how to compress Dreamcast worked wonders. i followed the steps and i was playing Tokyo Xtreme racer 2 on my rg35xx plus a little while later ... thank you!
I appreciate these videos it gives me an idea of how this system runs I think this device is good for the price point also given the fact that it's a Linux base emulator and not Android like some of the more powerful ones its definitely pretty powerful
I'm glad you find the videos helpful! This device definitely has some great performance for the price. When it gets better firmware, it would be an easy recommendation for a first device for anyone starting out in emulation handhelds
@@RetroHandheldGuides This is good news. I just blindly ordered the RG35xxH while in a state of nostalgia missing all my old Sega consoles... and Skies of Arcadia was one of my favourite ever games on any Sega console. I hope it aged at least reasonably well.
@@RetroHandheldGuides By any chance, do you know where we can find the .gdi of Skies of Arcadia? I can find ISO on Google (forgive my noob-ness, i'm not sure if it's the same thing or not :D).
The flycast retroarch core has some automatic frameskip built in by default. You can force a frameskip if you want by accessing the retroarch menu (function button) and going to core settings. Under there is an option for frameskipping
I don’t see the Dreamcast emulator on my RG35XXH. At the moment I have psp, ps1, vertical arcade, cps1,2 and3, neogeo, fbneo, mame, gba, nes, snes, sms, md, sega32x, gbc, gb, pce, ngpc,gg and wsc only
I don't think the stock cards came with any Dreamcast games already loaded but if you add your own Dreamcast games, the emulator will show up automatically
@@RetroHandheldGuides is that as simple as creating a new folder, say DC, and copying unzipped files of Dreamcast games directly into the folder ? Basically the same steps as installing a new ROM for the other emulators (PSP, PSX, NDS) etc
Hmm I almost want to buy it but it really just makes me wish they would have came out with a rg353 device in this format and plastic, I don't love the snes shaped one. Also kinda makes me wish they would have just lowered the price of the 353 devices to compete with other 3566 devices instead of coming out with this one it is so close but I'd be buying it for dreamcast so I would want it to play most of them just a little bit better. Edit: just looked for 353 devices on aliexpress and cant find a single one?? Is this some glitch on my end or did anbernic stop making the 353 devices
Anbernic is still making the 353 line. I just checked Ali and I still see them listed. They are also available on their main site. I agree that I passed on the 353p because I didn't like the SNES shape. I really wished they put the rk3566 in the 351p design as I loved my 351p. This is the successor to the 351p IMO
@RetroHandheldGuides yeah 351p is the last anbernic device I had that I really loved and this is def the successor I just ordered one, I wish they would have just made it a wee bit more powerful considering the power isn't that much more than the 351 devices
Do you mean gameplay directly from the device? If so, then technically no. It does have HDMI out so you could route it through a computer to stream or record the output
i been having the mame/naomi issue with re-volt and sega rally 2. i want to try that link with the instructions on the page, but i dont even know if those games play well on the 35xxH regardless. anyone know of they play well on it?
I had to lower the volume when you put ready 2 rumble lmao 🤣
Lol sorry about that. I should have put a warning on the video for suggestive content 🤣
Definitely NSFW content. lol.

Mu os is amazing and v11 is coming out by the end of April with huge improvements
Hmm maybe ill get one of these just as a throw away device to keep in my glovebox at all times
Great video thanks
Tokyo was an awesome game
I didn't realize I could play Tokyo extreme racer on this. I wonder if there is a way to have it run smoother.
Thank you for the ace vid!
I don't suppose you've tried Skyes Of Arcadia or E.G.G.? Or any other RPGs? Thanks
Skies of Arcadia plays easily. Didn't try EGG but RPGs in general are pretty easy to play so shouldn't be a problem

how to do frameskip in rg35xx h ? Where do I find this option in Retroarch ?
In retroarch under core settings
How to set frameskip for Flycast?
The flycast retroarch core has some automatic frameskip built in by default.
You can force a frameskip if you want by accessing the retroarch menu (function button) and going to core settings. Under there is an option for frameskipping

@kennethlow6619 there should already be a folder there in the ROMs directory.. it will either be DC or Dreamcast... Can't remember which on stock
Did it come with sonic adventure 2
Wow shenmue and re code veronica actually playable how about shenmue 2 ,phantasy star and sega gt
How many hours gameplay do you get playing Dreamcast? It's got to drain the battery pretty quick.
I'd say you could probably get about 2-3 hours of Dreamcast but that is just a guess based on how fast it drained my battery in a 30 min session

I think you'll love the Rg35xx h! The ergonomics just feel perfected in this device
Is it possible to get half life working on DC I couldn't get it running, Even using the conversion tool it wouldn't launch.
Looks like half life is a win ce based Dreamcast game. Stock os cant launch win ce based games for some reason
@@RetroHandheldGuides Sega rally 2 had the same issue but hung on the intro screen
Can we record gameplay clips and share to social media on it??????
Do you mean gameplay directly from the device? If so, then technically no.

@@RetroHandheldGuides yea but i guess not, so retro arch doesnt have a record setting?
Can it play snow surfers on dreamcast?
I tried snow surfers on batocera v40 and it works good without issue with libretro flycast core
i been having the mame/naomi issue with re-volt and sega rally 2. i want to try that link with the instructions on the page, but i dont even know if those games play well on the 35xxH regardless. anyone know of they play well on it?
Sega Rally 2 will not boot on the stock os as it is a win ce based Dreamcast game. It can boot in batocera but it doesn't run well at all.
I tested re-volt on stock os and it works fine. No issues
@RetroHandheldGuides good to know about sega rally, thank you. i probably have a bad copy of the revolt.
I found that in stock os, only GDI ROMs would boot for whatever reason.. maybe double check your rom type?
i tried gdi, then cdi if it didnt work. a lot of trial and error
.... Ifn This Had A 4 Inch Screen I'd Buy It ....
My fps in mvc2 is only below 30 fps why is that. Firmware is 20240222
Could be that you have a forced frameskip enabled. Check your retroarch settings
way weaker than the RP2S it seems
Definitely. Under $100, the rp2s is by far the most powerful device. Dreamcast, N64 no problem
@@RetroHandheldGuides I just wish it had a bigger screen
I'm only seeing the RP2S for about $160-$170. Meanwhile I just got this for $50
Can it play moonlight game streaming?
Yes
