I got my RG SP direct from Anbernic at launch and it had that same Kioxia 64 GB card (but yes, a RG35xx original I got a year ago had those generic black 64 gb cards of low quality).
I’ve had two other emulations devices now and this is the only one that makes me want to pick it up and actually play it; I can’t describe exactly why but it just feel right/fun. My other emulators are just gathering dust and I feel bad for even getting them lol.
It's weird because there is just something about certain handhelds that does that to you. You can't really describe it and I guess it's down to aesthetics but it definitely feels like some are calling out to you to be picked up like the ring calling gollum 😅
After playing this and then playing the 28XX, I just can't seem to get past the clicky buttons. They feel horrible to press and add to major hand fatigue vs. a soft membrane.
I got mine about a week ago and loving it, i usually make hand grips for all my emulation handheld devices but I’ve ordered some and are in the mail getting dropped off today so cant wait for that comfortablilty im always looking for 🙏🏽

i had a retroid pocket 2 which was about the same price range but this seems to run things better, also 2d psp games should work perfect on this hardware its only most 3d titles that wouldn't run great but its a 4:3 screen anyways and there is mid range cost handhelds that run psp perfect like the rp3+ so it really isnt a problem, btw you might be able to upscale ps1 games to be a full 480P through retroarch (native ps1 runs at 240p but the problem with upscaling is it might make it stutter but idk if it is more powerful than the rp2 so who knows it might work because dreamcast didnt run on the rp2 but it did for the rg sp)
@@ChronikSpartan Was able to use a card to get the back cover off, only after a slight mark on the connecters that keep the covers in place regardless of the screws. Regardless of that I'm satisfied with the protector replacement. Thanks for the response!

Thanks for sharing! How's the input latency on this thing on snes? Is this it comparable to a real SNES? SNES input lag generally seems to be more severe than other systems when emulated. I wish to have a handheld for playing kaizo mario rom hacks, and that requires truly low input lag.
Personally I never notice input lag unless it's more than slight, so from my perspective I'd say minimal. But I do know pretty much all emulation has some input lag especially for game that are timing critical like Punch Out

Love the device, instantly wiped the SD card tho... don't trust their roms at all. Also tons of stuff I just never would want to play anyway. Still it is an impressive little thing. Run Playstation and n64 as well as I need it to. And everything bellow. Using it mainly for jrpgs and strategy games that don't require mashing buttons as handcramp is real! I recommend you stay away form all shooters and only do platformers in short sessions. Gba, snes and nes titles are a little easier on your hands for platformers, for the most part. Do test out different OS's like MuOS and KnulliOS Just do it with a different SD card and you are good to go. If you wanna use one SD card for emulators and games make sure you set everything up correctly. Oh and this little thing has wifi and bluetooth so when you manage to set that up and you can just transfer files through wifi and use your wireless headphones the device becomes so much more enjoyable imo.
