But i´ve still got a question - I want to setup my RG40XX H with two SD-Cards just as in your case, but i can only find 16GB firmware on the site, there is no 64GB version, unless I am blind😅 Is there any disadvantage in using the 16GB firmware on the 64GB card, since I can´t use the remeining storage anyway?
I have a doubt: as it appears that now they tend to have a kioxia 64gb for the SO, so maybe isn't necessary to swap to a new one, my doubt is: can i just add another microsd in the other slot with MORE roms and the system will combine the ones of the 64gb stock with mine? And it would be as simple as to use the exact same folder stucture than the stock one?
Rufus is not partitioning my card properly and the drive is only showing 2 gb out of 64gb card, I've been trying to flash the card for hours but nothing is working, my rg35xxh is now a brick

I just got the RG35XX Plus, 1st off it doesnt turn on but it charges. I tried all the reset stuff that ive read on reddit. Also i completely dont understand that whole flashing and downloading os to the sd cards. I literally almost started crying cause im frustrated and dont understand, even after watching all these youtube videos. Why couldnt it just be completely ready when i bought it 😭😭

I'm just guessing it's because theoretically the ROMs in the US would be "illegal". Since they were put on the card in a different country it's not a huge deal. Doing it here is a bit of a moral conundrum. Nintendo can go after anyone at anytime nowadays it seems too, especially putting it on a TH-cam video. I got the 28xx and it has no Nintendo games on it,which I found interesting. I'm going to grab a 40xx here at the beginning of next month. Not a fan of the Cube and can't afford the newest best ones. They cost about as much as a Nintendo Switch lol.
I'm really struggling and need a lot of help. I am not computer savvy at ALL I'm 23 and feel like I'm 80. When I got my RG35XX H and turned it on it only flashes the logo screen. I emailed Anbernic and they sent me a video that wasn't in English. I did my best to follow instructions on it but ended up formatting the unbranded micro SD card it came with, without backing anything up. I bought the 2 micro SD cards you recommended in this video, and have an adapter but I don't know what I'm doing and don't want to mess up. Do you think you could help me? ;; I can't get any help from Anbernic and I don't understand any of the steps here with my situation. I feel really stupid.
Could you do a video on how to get the best picture quality when connecting to tv through hdmi? I don't know what I don't know what I have done, but the first time I connected to the tv, the picture was good, but now it's really bad any help appreciated

Swear to god everyone says a different thing. Batocera, kalli os, stock, muos or others are either mandatory or garbage, I feel the community is very scattered currently
I’ve tried them all, and I’m always a fan of cfw, but simply for this device, the newest stock os just works so well it’s not worth changing it. I recall hearing that an issue in the cfw community with the Allwinner H700 is they don’t have an open source gpu driver for it. I’m starting to wonder if Anbernic has the driver and that’s why they’re using the H700s… so they control the firmware more. My 2 cents
@@therealchriskirk From what ive been getting from research deviating from stock os now in may of 2024 is only useful if you want specific little things like better certain kinds of emulation or to make portmaster stuff work better. i cant believe anbernic discourse is worse than R36S discourse right now too, it's insane how centralized the internet is but how gatekept all the good info is on these open source consoles
@@StarmenRock I have tried them all and the main problem I come across is you have to spend hours and hours after install to set everything up to work how you want it to work and things still don't work how you want them to work. If you look at the latest Stock OS for H you copy over the roms and your done. Everything works. I have not come across any game on stock where it didn't work.

Its the only missing piece in the whole equation, im just not too upset over that because i also have a psp for those games and also bought an r36s for 26usd on ali which runs portmaster better than the rg35xx. Hi, my rg35xx has dual system. I don't wanna use the existing SD 64gb card that came with it. I tried clone it but it's so difficult because my win10 got very defensive at everything I did. Now I decided to just download the large update on anbernic site. I wonder if those zip files would appear afew zip files. Now if it do appears a few then what should I do? Do I write them multiple times into new SD card?

I cannot figure this out for the life of me. My device would partially boot up, but not fully. It was just stuck on the loading screen. After putting the stock SD drive into my computer it said "disc damaged". So I tried installing the OS onto a fresh SD drive and my system will not boot. When using rufus I did not see .img file in the boot selection and when I tried select I didn't see it there either. Can someone please help me?

my RG35XX H is up to date but will not charge to full capacity. I've done numerous things to try to get it to charge, shutting it off and plugging it in seems to be the best but when the battery symbol comes on it begins to charge for a few seconds and then stops. After flashing via 64gb, i am not able to see anything on the console. It's just blank. But when I flash 16gb firmware on 64gb sd card I am able to see the options as soon in the video . Please let me know the issue ?
know im a bit late to the party but can anyone give any input on the portability of the 35xx h vs the pocket flip?? ive been thinking about replacing my miyoo mini v3 with something like the 35xx h, but i already own a pocket flip and from what i can tell the footprint and weight of the pocket flip is very similar to the xx h but with the 5'' screen basically slapped on the front. is the size/weight of the pocket flip really significant over the xx h?

I dont know how much of a big deal this is, but the latest update only offers the 16GB version and even if I try to download it, there's no IMG file after Ive extracted it. Did I do something wrong?
Make sure you upgrade the micro sd card for the 35H or you will end up with no booting and the logo only screen. I'm buying two cards (operating system and storage from a helpful guy on ebay. At a later date I will use an sd card reader to keep on top of it......not too happy with Anbernic at the moment
I saw many people get 128gb from Samsung. Do you think its better to set all two sd in Sandisk brand. Also, are you using a set of sandisk for all different consoles? or the roms SD can be common used?
SanDisk or Samsung are both great, either works. I'm not sure I understand the second question, but the ROM SD card is just one card with all the systems on it.

Can you guys help. I've flashed the dual system images its okay. But when i flashed the newest patch it doesn't work at all the console won't even turn on indicator of bad images in the sd . But when i flashed it back to the stock os its working . So i guess my case is not bad sd card but the way i flashed it wrong. I've used yumi, rufus, & win32disk bootable maker . Awesome tutorial. I ve got a question. Adding new roms (in this case tiny best set GO) to new micro sd card needs to move from old game card the BIOS FOLDER or its enough to copy just all FOLDERS ?? Asking because the games mostly are working but some doesnt give the opportunity to move(Arkanoid for example) and there is NO GAME with EXAMPLE FOTO how this game looks like . Hello! Just a quick question. I swapped the SD cards and updated the system successfully based on the video provided. I then downloaded GTA: CTW and was playing for a week but I noticed it started crashing lately (midway in game it goes black then I get the ‘Exiting’ message and I’m back to the PSP game selection page). May I know if it’s possible to transfer my save files from the current game that keeps crashing to a newly downloaded ROM of GTA: CTW without having to restart again? As far as I know, the save files are in the memory card but when I tried starting the new GTA I downloaded from another website, no save files show up
Note: Unfortunately, you can't clone the 35XX/28XX series cards. You will need to flash a new card completely following the video.

That's what the manual for the 28xx says to do. I haven't tried it personally yet,but as far as I can tell that's the recommended method.

if its not turning on i would contact the store or website it might be a faulty product,

Stock OS is the best for RG35XX H. I have even tried R11 of MuOS but stock still wins. Everything just works on stock.

Mine 35xxH wouldn't go passed the boot screen as soon as I got it, hopefully following this guide is gonna help me.

You won't be able to expand either, you can only use 16gb or 64gb.

After all the configuration has been done. What folders should I backup related to the OS config?
only getting the 16gb option, but i have a 64 gb card. will it cause issues to run the 16gb file?

I saw many people get 128gb from Samsung. Do you think its better to set all two sd in Sandisk brand.
Also, are you using a set of sandisk for all different consoles? or the roms SD can be common used?
SanDisk or Samsung are both great, either works.
I'm not sure I understand the second question, but the ROM SD card is just one card with all the systems on it.
@@JoeysRetroHandhelds T very much, sorry for confusing on the 2nd question. what I meant was, for the system SD, if I am purchasing another item for instance RG556 in future, can I just pull it form 35XX H and then just plug into the new device then play? or I need to keep purchasing new TF cards while I am buying new machine? I am newbie acturally but acturally I don't know how poor the quality from the micro SD which enclosed with 35XXH. I am learning from youtube now :)
Someone tested the Samsung cards and it wrting speed is very good. I think I will purchase one or two more consoles later. This is fun and Thanks for your video.

Can you guys help. I've flashed the dual system images its okay. But when i flashed the newest patch it doesn't work at all the console won't even turn on indicator of bad images in the sd . But when i flashed it back to the stock os its working . So i guess my case is not bad sd card but the way i flashed it wrong. I've used yumi, rufus, & win32disk bootable maker . All seems not working. Help a brother out
Do you need 64GB for OS? If you have a second card for Roms, is OS really that huge? I have a bunch of SanDisk Extreme Pro 32GB and was planing to use one for the OS and 265GB for Roms..
Awesome tutorial. I ve got a question. Adding new roms (in this case tiny best set GO) to new micro sd card needs to move from old game card the BIOS FOLDER or its enough to copy just all FOLDERS ?? Asking because the games mostly are working but some doesnt give the opportunity to move(Arkanoid for example) and there is NO GAME with EXAMPLE FOTO how this game looks like . Thanks in advance for help. SUB

Hello! Just a quick question. I swapped the SD cards and updated the system successfully based on the video provided. I then downloaded GTA: CTW and was playing for a week but I noticed it started crashing lately (midway in game it goes black then I get the ‘Exiting’ message and I’m back to the PSP game selection page). May I know if it’s possible to transfer my save files from the current game that keeps crashing to a newly downloaded ROM of GTA: CTW without having to restart again? As far as I know, the save files are in the memory card but when I tried starting the new GTA I downloaded from another website, no save files show up
it should work just move the save file into where the other game is saved.
Could I keep the original roms on the primary SD and just add any additional ones to the secondary?
Does this work for RG35XX SP? I think the SD card on mine has corrupted? Retroarch appears all green yellow blurry I cannot see a thing.
