    I really enjoy this video. You didn’t fill it up with a A bunch of useless chatter. You are right to the point, your details were very clear, and I appreciate it. I’ve been doing my nails for about two years and one thing I do dread is soaking off. I like to change my nails every week and this will be very helpful.

    Good video, love the tip about a toothbrush! I hate the liquids that come with the dip powders, I always use gel base coat, cure 30 seconds, then dip and repeat. Then gel top coat. They are so much easier that way, and look fantastic!

      And don’t have to worry about hardening your top coat with the activator and you don’t have to buy all that extra bottles.

    My nail tech told me that no one will do dip powder fills because dip powder is relatively soft and it’s easy for fungus/bacteria to form between the old set and the fill in because air pockets and moisture can get in between the old powder and the new powder. This powder is dry applied dry as opposed to acrylic, so it doesn’t adhere to itself as seamlessly as an acrylic fill creating the opportunity for air pockets between the sets. If that makes sense

    • @ItsCinnaMe
      @ItsCinnaMe  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hmm….my nails as shown here in this video are after 1 yr doing this. I have never had a problem with ANY type of fungus. Not once. I wouldn’t try this with color dip powder because you can’t see if there is anything developing on the nail. I only do this with clear dip powder. If I see lifted areas I correct it before a problem develops. I honestly have never had a problem doing my nails this way. I hope that helps. :)

    Girl - omg -- I cannot even begin to say how much this is so helpful. I've been dipping my own nails for about 2 years now and you're right - when I soak off, my nails are thin. I'm going to try this method because when I don't like the color - I"m basically stuck with it because I'm not trying to go through the whoooooole process again for another 3-4 weeks. And, I'm going to check out sparkle and co... I've been using revel and Kiara sky

    Thank you so much for this video! My nails were thinning out so much from soaking off with acetone 🥲 I didn’t know fill-ins were an option for dip powder cus the nail salons I went to always did a new set for dips so that’s what I thought was normal. How often do you do your refills? And how do you get it to last as long as you have without lifting or peeling especially on the free edge? Asking because I want my dips to last long too but they begin to peel around the free edge when I scratch. Great work btw 🤩

    • @ItsCinnaMe
      @ItsCinnaMe  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey! Make sure you use good quality products. I can usually go 2 week or so without issue. They are easy to fix if I have minor lifting. The process in this video is done about every 2-3 weeks

  • @christinesnyder8112

    Hello wonderful video. My question is how do you do the original build so we don't have to soak off.

    • @ItsCinnaMe
      @ItsCinnaMe  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey there. My base layer is simply clear dip powder. I do 2-3 layer of clear on my natural nails, activate, file, buff and apply my top coat. I apply my peel base and color on top of that. I hope that helps. :)

  • @libbys8520

    Very helpful! I’m new to dip powder and have only done the gel polish method because I’ve heard of the dip powder flu and that made me very nervous. What are your thoughts and how prevalent do you think the dip powder flu is

    • @ItsCinnaMe
      @ItsCinnaMe  ปีที่แล้ว

      Dip flu is very person specific. I personally have never gotten it but I know others have. Unfortunately the only way to find out is to try. It’s likely that it won’t bother you at all.

  • @abigailrodriguez3604
    @abigailrodriguez3604 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Question....why did you use activator twice? I thought you apply activator then shape and file...then top coat. im confused! 🤔

    • @tabbyb3514
      @tabbyb3514 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You always use activator twice once after applying dip powder and once after filing, you definitely need after filing because it cures the product again from all the filing, skipping the second activator application could cause your dip powder to chip and break quicker because it needs that final cure before top coating, hopes that makes sense😊

    • @ItsCinnaMe
      @ItsCinnaMe  ปีที่แล้ว

      You only need the second activator step to harden the top coat. Without that last step the top coat won’t harden. Activator is harding agent.

    Ok so I have to try this because I was using sns clear dip powder for a year because my gel polish keeps peeling off and the soak off was thinning my nails. So I switched back to builder in a bottle soak off. I want to go back but don't know why my gel polish peels off the dip powder. Any suggestions?

    • @ItsCinnaMe
      @ItsCinnaMe  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The only way I’ve had success with gel staying in dip powder is to use a base coat.
