    Here’s a tip ☝🏼
    When doing your first layer go to your mid nail & down stroke with the brush, not all the way to the top by cuticle. Doing this will add a nice curve to the nail vs looking straight & flat on top :)

    • @Mandynailedit
      @Mandynailedit 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      The apex method is amazing! But here's another tip: if the nail you're adding dip color already has an apex, just do two or three thin layers over the entire nail. Doing an apex over an apex doesn't come out so great lol I learned that the hard way. Sometimes I'll build my apex with clear first

      In your opinion, what brand of adhesive is best for long lasting manicure?

    • @frescOO8
      @frescOO8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’d say 3/4 where the apex should be and then the rest near the cuticle looks thin and flawless.

    I've been dipping for a yesr and a half but still found a couple helpfuls. One thing I found when I've hardened top coat brushes Is, they are removable from the cap. Amazon sells replaceable brushes in a bag. Buy not only that, the original brush can be soaked over night in acetone (I use a small jar with lid), wash with soap & water, let dry and it is reusable too.

  • @dm613
    @dm613 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +10

    What I do with the top coat is generally do my dip through the activator in the evening, and wait until the next day to put top coat. I wash my hands in water only, no soap, dry them, and then do the top coats, waiting between coats. I've ruined bottles of top coat at the beginning by not waiting after the activator. This tip is also great for moms because it gives you a good stopping point if the kids need you!

    Thank you so much, Carole Annette!! I really appreciate the time you've taken to do this video. It's an active kindness. Been doing my nails for a little while now since COVID ( immuno compromised ). Was getting bored, so decided I would learn to do nails on my own, but only discovered dip kits last spring. II have had most of these problems, criticized myself severely, despite getting lots of compliments. I did not realize there were solutions which mostly require a little patience. I will be checking out your channel for more wonderful advice!

    Thanks for this. I'm glad I watched before I started dipping. I think I'm going to get mine done professionally before I start doing them on my on. Too many mistakes to make and I want to watch her first.

      This is my plan too. I've gotten it done once and I'll go once or twice more (this month and maybe the next) so I'll be ready. I also ordered a cheap kit (Kiss nails) with a light color powder so that even if I make a mistake, it won't be as noticable.

    Just purchased Nailboo dip powder set. Very informative and detailed video; so much that I liked and subscribed.
