Excellent DIY video, thanks for sharing! I absolutely love the Harry Potter fabric you used for your daughter's book sleeve! Where did you find that fabric? Thanks!
@@sewart-sy9212 yes please let me know. I'd love to buy some. And is your store still open on line? I keep getting rerouted when I enter the web address.Thank you.
@@sewart-sy9212 Hi I would like a yard or two. But i keep leaving my contact info and youtube deletes it so not sure how to get in touch to finalize this.
Hi! One quick question. So you said you would switch the pattern pieces for the interfacing and the fusible fleece. Do you suggest that only if using lycra or would you do it using woven also? I'm getting ready to print the pattern to make my first one and I am super excited because these are just too cute :) Great video by the way!
The zipper tape I bought from Amazon is difficult. The tape I have bought from the independent hardware shops with groups on Facebook works much better.
How long does it take to make one of these if you weren’t explaining and making a video? Also, have you ever had a needle break sewing over the zipper like that?
The tab closure for a book bag is much more practical than a zipper. A zipper on this pattern would not be a good idea . The size of the main pattern pieces would have to be changed. Why make this bag more complicated . The zipper pocket on the outside is ideal for a phone or a change purse where zipper closure is needed.
I did answer this question for you but it ended up as an answer in the next area under your name. This is a lovely book pattern and adding a zipper to the top is complicating this pattern and adding a bulk at the top where the bag is going to be turned. The tab is an ideal closure . The zipper pocket in the front is a good place for the zipper. That pocket can be used for a phone of a change purse . If you make changes in a pattern you have to compensate with changing measurements . Many book bags patterns do not even have a top closure. This is just a bag to protect a book. Simple is good.
The fabric you have is just incredible! I love these pouches!
I have a ton of cute cotton Lycra that’s just sitting around. I never would’ve thought of using it for something like this! What a great idea 😊

I love the rivet snaps, where could I purchase those and the dyes?
I purchase my press and dyes from kamsnaps! I do get some rivets from there, but I’ve ordered from various custom hardware shops too!

I want to say the HP was from Miss Mac. I still have several yards, so I’ll see if I can look at the shipping label

I bought the pulls from Amazon, and I think they are what’s wrong. No matter what tape I put it on it is hard to pull.
I keep trying to access your site for the fabric but it's blocked. I'm sad!!

I wonder how hard it would be to add a zipper for closing

Looked cute - 40 minute tutorial???? Too long.
As if you couldn't tell the length of the tutorial before you clicked on it. 🙄
