I really respect Kristin Neff. Great researcher and she explains it in a way that makes me feel like she's a friend, and she cares.. and it's loaded with researcher information! It's amazing.

I think the answer to the last question is in the first M1 and M2. I started using mindfulness over 30 years ago and for me, M1 and M2 were one, that naturally lead to compassion as the essence of one's soul embraced the moment. One of the natural elements of universal conciseness fundamentally is unconditional love, compassion, and creativity, creating or coming into a new higher awareness of the present. Having said that I do find the whole analogy of M1, M2, M3, and finally M4 for me a spiritual being having a human experience, very useful and I'm loving this whole focus on self-compassion. As a recent sufferer of PTSD, just loving your videos, thank you very much. Teaching me to get back to basic meditation embracing and highlighting the importance of compasion.

This was a great video, thank you for uploading it. I had been struggling with the paradox she described (stumbled on it through my meditation practices), and she described it in a way which made sense. In my particular case it's an anxiety I whose influence on me I wish to change my relationship with and I've been struggling with whether to 'let it be' per mindfulness teachings or treat it with compassion when it crops up. Seems like the answers is both, paradoxically.

I am old enough to realize that she is simply reading books by Sharon Salzburg end Eckhart Tolle then placing the details in an academic setting.

Yes our culture doesn’t support self compassion or other compassion. It doesn’t sell products.
