I really like your videos. This is the first one I've seen. I really like your thorough, calm, and informative style of communication in your videos. Plus the crow or jackdaw drawing is really good 🤟🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
One Trilogy to Rule them All.... I'll have more to say on the Part 3 page, but there are two things in particular I most appreciate about this video (in addition to the usual things I love about your productions): 1. You presented instructions for different apps. Partly, this is useful because you've got a better chance of hitting on the app any individual user has access to. But also, comparing the two approaches gives us viewers a better chance of extracting the generic algorithm for the process you're using, which eases the task of translating the steps into some other app not covered here. 2. I knew to look out for islands, before. But what I hadn't ever understood was how to look for each color of island, relative to the ground it's on, and the relationship of that observation to the stacking order of the colors. Now, I finally feel like I know enough to work my way through creating a multi-color stencil. VERY nicely explained! Thanks once again. This is brilliant work, as usual!
So glad the videos were useful. It's a technique that requires a fair bit of prep, depending on the finish you're after and I remember being a bit fried trying to work out layers when I started doing them. so much easier with drawing apps as an alternative to photoshop.
Once again, THANK YOU for another awesome video! I have an illustration project that I’ve been kicking around and these most recent videos really unlocked and inspired me to take the project in a direction I haven’t been considering before! Honestly, I can’t thank you enough for sharing your talent with the world. 🙏 ❤️ 🎨
@@yeatesmakes Yes! I wish someone had explained it like this to me years ago. It's one of those things that just 'fries my noodle' but now I know what to look for 👍☺️
Just had a really quick look at free apps. The first one I tried, called ‘HalftonePix’ yielded some pretty good, clean black and white edits that would laser transfer just fine 😀 I’ll keep digging though!!
@yeatesmakes that's fantastic, I'll check it out thank you. Love your channel and going to try your method from the chalk pastels cow skull this week. So excited to discover you!

Hi Mark, are there any other options if we don't have Procreate or Photoshop?
