The first time I saw it I had no idea what was going on so I was like so what is so impressive about this then I had it explained to me and I was like holy shit!!
You guys are a few million subs short of the amount you deserve for the quality content. You are literally introducing people to new scenes and that is a really great job imo. This video has piqued my interest in Evo (combined with the last one). Great job guys!
I’m curious; are you currently watching EVO 2018 right now? Because this years EVO is currently underway (Day 2). If so, are you watching any game that has piqued your interest?
That video about Hungrybox made me check out Super Smash Bros Melee. Definitely going to watch the Final 8 for that one. I am more of a CS GO guy, and this is very new for me. I've played some of these games as a child but never realized the scene was so big. Any suggestions as to what I could watch?
Vinit Singh It really depends on what you’re into. The biggest games this year with the most entries is Dragon Ball FighterZ and Street Fighter 5. Those two games, along with some others are still undergoing pools and are going to narrow the numbers down to their top 64 by the end of the day and will have their top 8s tomorrow. Some games will have their top 8 later on today (Injustice 2, BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle, and Smash 4). I’ll post a link to the schedule here: www.eventhubs.com/imagegallery/2018/aug/03/evo-2018-schedule/1/
Vinit Singh Me personally, I was introduced to my love for fighting games from my love for comic books. The Marvel vs Capcom series was a main contributor. I’m paying more attention to Tekken 7, SF5, Dragon Ball FighterZ, and BlazBlue. I am also paying attention for any news about upcoming fighting games and/or any DLC for existing games (their was exhibitions for Smash Ultimate, Dead or Alive 6, and Soul Calibur VI yesterday, so I’m curious if there will be any more news today. Probably will be some character reveals tomorrow during some games’ Grand Finals).
Absolutely fantastic video. The story about the truck was hilarious. I'm so pissed that I missed EVO this year and last year, but I'm definitely going back in 2019.
You showed the Galileo comeback 💖 Evo is pure magic. Other eSports tournaments might have the numbers, but they'll never have the prestige that Evo does
I don't know how many videos of this channel I've seen and every one of them is flawless. It is quite obvious the passion and love of the creators for the gaming/fighting scene. Thanks for this marvelous piece. Keep working this way
Just goes to show you that a dedicated community with dedicated fans can make magic happen. I'm not a huge fighting game player but I appreciate the hell out of a healthy competitive community that can create jaw dropping moments like EVO has.
This video was badass, nicely done guys.I’m probably never going to be able to play in a tournament, but your vids really make it feel like I am. Rock on and... HADOUKEN!!!
Such commitment to something you love. These guys deserve all the success in the world. To the Evo founders and those gamers who kept on doing it year after year...now who dies the starcraft history?
I spent a lot of time on MvC2 and TTT. Those were the games played during lunchtime at the arcade. I remember TTT was huge in Korea then, they aired the tournaments on TV and never even knew that people were still playing Street Fighter. Then in college I saw the Daigo parry :O. I never followed EVO, but Fighting Games will always have a special place in my heart.
This channel will be one of the biggest on TH-cam one day. The content is amazing and as long as you keep doing what your doing! Extreme success is the horizon. I love all of these informative videos that you've come out with! Keep up the amazing work!! You've earned every sub.
Watching videos like this always remind me why I love the FGC. As a community, we always had to FIGHT for our wins. It was never handed to us. The World Warriors always having to defy the odds just to make a statement.
Diago and Justin are one of the reason EVO survived. Peoples that work so hard to sustain it, and many many more too, of course. I suppose we need to thank young youtube for it too. LOL
How can the news tell people that violent video games makes people violent as well? Just look at the amount of happy faces and joy everyone was showing in the video
1:55 So True. As a kid, me and 5 of my friends would always go to the mall on saturdays to go to the arcade. If we ever saw any other groups there, we challenged em. didnt know others did this lol
I started paying attention to Evo in 2006 that’s when I started to get knee deep into fighting games with other people when i saw Justin and daigo it was a wrap lol
still gotta watch part2 but even tho it wasn't part of evo it should've of been mentioned the alex valle vs daigo umehara alpha3 match. That was the first time daigo came over to US to fight into tournament and a very crucial point in the FGC history (if you ask me)
Love this piece, but not gonna lie, it was hilarious when you included part of Mexico in the US. "Southern California", which i'm assuming was really LA, was placed in Baja California in Mexico.
That truck story is nutty. Can't believe EVO grew from such humble beginnings. It's amazing how much it's grown to be what it is today.
i mean, FGC was born that way, we are the one trully OG gaming comunity
@@vinicinfodexota5083 Well there was only Pong for a competitive game prior to fighting games, and that is not an option (:
Unfortunately that’s not how it is now
I thought they will get married..hahaah
Ive seen moment 37 so many times and yet it still gives me goosebumps
B bumbs I remember watching that and showing my friends. The reaction of the crowd helped me understand what was going on lol.
The first time I saw it I had no idea what was going on so I was like so what is so impressive about this then I had it explained to me and I was like holy shit!!
Always has
Always will 👍👌✊
@Tyler Robbins scrub alert
Let's go Justin!

@@jon-unicorn-doxxer Nice I like watching street fighter and smash too, they are the biggest Fighting games and easiest to watch in my opinion
*That truck moment at the gate. LOL!!* ✅🤣

Amazing content as usual. No other channel has this much quality content as much as this. Thank you TheScore ❤️
CoreAgaming does an excellent job 2
I could still watch mvc2 tournaments. One of my favorite fighting games ever.
Great storytelling like always.
Please be so kind and do this for TI once you are finished with evo.

EVO is the super bowl of the FGC.
Another story of with this one being on the biggest tournament in the world for the fgc. Already it's going to be such a great video.

Man that truck story is hilarious AF.
Damn this is great!! Loved it!
The truck one is epic
Street Fighter IV is the best EVO game ever. There's never gonna be a time like that again. The SFIV EVO years were the best.
That was a good vidya
Loved this.
1:55 So True. As a kid, me and 5 of my friends would always go to the mall on saturdays to go to the arcade. If we ever saw any other groups there, we challenged em. didnt know others did this lol
Love the backstory
best narrator
If only SFV was anywhere near as good as any of the SFIV games.
At least now we have Tekken 7.
I started paying attention to Evo in 2006 that’s when I started to get knee deep into fighting games with other people when i saw Justin and daigo it was a wrap lol
We need more fgc videos. Waiting for the second part!
Proud of my people from Kuwait ❤️
Please do a video about Daigo vs Poongko from evo 2011, would be so hype. Keep up the good work!
Great video
Great !
Daigo "THE BEAST" Umehara changed the FGC community

My homie Yipes! Can’t believe he beat Justin Wong in mvc2
Love this piece, but not gonna lie, it was hilarious when you included part of Mexico in the US. "Southern California", which i'm assuming was really LA, was placed in Baja California in Mexico.
And soon we'll have Mk11 and Ultimate make evo 2019 absolutely massive
Can’t believe it’s been a decade since SFIV renewed the fighting game genre.
So many young faces... Damn, they're getting quite old aren't they?
Daigo is always to revolutionist of FGC at any point in time
