Thanks for watching! I literally started this channel like 10 days ago, the viewership has blown me away. If you're enjoying the casts please subscribe to the channel! 😄
Basically 50% done, or at least only 50% accessible, with a whole other race and many abilities / units still locked. Not to mention limited maps. Super excited!
First Stormgate cast thats been pretty entertaining from a competitive standpoint. Definitely enjoyed seeing the game so far, I thought this might not end up being for me but obviously not going to make a decision when its so early, but this match really convinced me this is gonna be a really fun RTS to play. Seeing more unit types made the game really fun looking, really enjoy when there is a bit of tug of war and that micro can help tilt the battle one way or another. Game looks great so far, crazy how good it looks so early, must be all the talent and experience the team has. Can you imagine those Execs who let these guy leave their company. Amazing days ahead for the rest of us.
Fantastic casting, your knowledge of the game already is super helpful! I watch a lot of SC2 but don’t play, and am very excited to see another RTS that is interesting and fun to watch. Stormgate is by far my favorite of the new and upcoming RTS
every update this game just gets better and better. I remember watching a few of the super early announcements and feeling very underwhelmed but as the races have been fleshed out with higher tier units and with the focus on interesting upgrades that change the cabailities of units this game has become super interesting. the combination of Creep-camps, relatively long TTK, and unit's gaining experience takes all of the parts of WC3 that i liked tthe most without the reliance on Hero units (that i always hated in WC3 multiplayer... even though it's what made the singleplayer godtier). All the faction specific building/base special abilities and top-bar abilities in particular look like they've been super well implemented. The meat farms apawning hogs and the sentry posts having unique forms depending on the unit garrisoned inside are great implementations of an absolute killer idea, as are the BOB overcharging and the animus abilities. And not just from a balance point of view, but from multiple angles: overall gamefeel, faction identity, balance, power escalation, skill expression, and the way they open up different playstyles. There are still a few little things that feel... i guess janky is the right word. The fiend spawning mechanic is awesome, and the way the various different spawn sources stack is actually super satisfying, but it does feel like there needs to be some kind of change to prevent the weird fiends-spawning-into-fiends-that-spawn-into-fiends-that-spawn-into-fiends nonsense. IMO, fiends probably shouldn't be able to spawn from fiends... but we'll see how the balance settles during the beta period. It'd be nice if hornets got a small damage boost (or maybe range boost?) on their first attack (link it with the speed boost cooldown) to make up for their recent nerf too. tl;dnr: This is shaking up to be a great game and i can't want to see more Stormcast content coming from PiG!
Id watch full series or just single matches. Ill let Pig decide which ones are more interesting. Pig = Best RTS game curator. Never have to work for which match ups are good, just log into youtube and watch the PIG.
Please can you do 1 game where the vanguard does a good standard build and you follow it and show how their growth, build.order and comp and then win and then annother with infernal. Basically a brief look at a meta.
I think single games are good casts in the current game unless there’s a scrappy series where players are trading matches. In any case, I’ll watch the casts lol
Mobile healers break rts Because there is healing, it creates death-balls that shrug off attrition, so that the opponent needs to either do rush/cheese to prevent the death-ball from forming or hit it with high lethality AoE like disruptors or banelings. Both of these counters are seen as “overpowered” and leads to balance changes that continuously buff the healer death-ball until it’s truly unbeatable. The energy limit on healers is a false limitation, because in order to keep that energy low, the opponent needs to continuous trade actual resources for healer energy, which simply isn’t sustainable, leading to the healers building up effectively infinite energy.
All units look like slow-motion moving to me. Furthermore, it is really hard to recognize which units are belonging to which players, but maybe this is just me. Not hating, just trying to point out some areas to work on.
even though it's called a beta right now, the shaders etc. are clearly not finished - We'll need to wait for it to be much further along before the final look is properly established

Lol i didnt even realize how new it was
FYI the orange light above some units are the Sentinel's auto attack, applies a similar effect to oracle revelation
The fact that these games are so good before the game is even done is a really good sign

Good sign of balace when one side loses multpile lines of workers at once and then just continues like nothing happened.
Sounds like zerg and terran
Can't wait to see maps by the community when this comes out.

I would love full series! More content to watch is better.
Wow incredible match! Would love to see more series too if possible
the blood on top of the shrine means that the building is active in charging up. when it is full the blood goes away
Hey PiG! Never thought I would see an Alpha Navigators Cup match casted by you, mate! much appreciated
Thanks so much for hosting the tournament and posting the replays mate!

Yea the old patch seemed a lot more stomp heavy so maybe more series for the new patch?
there will be a tournament live on twitch after the open beta
love the content, and the commentary that happens sometimes after the games by the players is the cherry on top
I think a good mix of single games versus series would be good!
Theory went on to win this tournament!
This was a sick game to watch. So far one of the most entertaining game I’ve seen so far! Can’t wait to see what the future holds
I really hope they add a third faction eventually
they said the third faction will be announced before early access which is in summer this year
Id watch full series or just single matches. Ill let Pig decide which ones are more interesting. Pig = Best RTS game curator. Never have to work for which match ups are good, just log into youtube and watch the PIG.
Full series!!
insane game. really makes me feel like a scrub.
great casting as well, engaged but not overhyped. i like it
PiG just got the perfect caster voice
The Lancers should of had a large hammer instead of a large blade.
This is the first game I've seen that was as entertaining as pro sc2. So rad
I've been building every Inferno unit in most games lol. There's not many units yet :P
Please can you do 1 game where the vanguard does a good standard build and you follow it and show how their growth, build.order and comp and then win and then annother with infernal. Basically a brief look at a meta.

Learning Infernals opening with Pro th-cam.com/video/yU7ev1O9oZU/w-d-xo.html
Man what a game! Nice Casting, but boy: this game is entertaining already! Will there be a Tier 3 in each fraction?
i think so, they haven't announced all units / factions yet
Looks so fun
16:28 Was that army just insta built? There's nothing moving on the minimap then just a flood of units from those buildings wtf?
I think single games are good casts in the current game unless there’s a scrappy series where players are trading matches. In any case, I’ll watch the casts lol
Can you cheat the lancer attack speed boost by damaging it yourself?
yep! I've seen a few players use this to chase down retreating enemy units

Anything on the other race(s)?
We only have access to these two factions for now. There will be a third one announced before Early Access later this year
All units look like slow-motion moving to me. Furthermore, it is really hard to recognize which units are belonging to which players, but maybe this is just me. Not hating, just trying to point out some areas to work on.
Will there be a third race?
Yep, this has been confirmed. I think should be announced more specifically in the summer?
lols ive played endless amounts of games against theory in sc2
is it just me or is stormgate alot worse graphics than the old starcraft 2 ?
even though it's called a beta right now, the shaders etc. are clearly not finished - We'll need to wait for it to be much further along before the final look is properly established
No crap it's infernal vs vanguard. That's all it ever is. This games lame
there's only two factions available in beta...?
They haven't announced the third or fourth factions. Because it's still on beta.
are the lights on up there jonathan?
there are 3 possible matchups
