I've gotten good results with FDM / PETG by following a few guides to tune to where it prints clear ( Perfect temp tuned / flow rate etc.. ) no bubbles / no frosty effect inside. It's not as good as good as a resin print but the same technique works quite well. . . . That resin print looks absolutely perfect ! ! !

Hi. What polishing paste are you using? Thanks

Hi. I used Menzerna HCC400 (start) and Menzerna FF3000 (finish) You can use any polishing paste, for example 3M pastes are good

Great narration, almost understood what the base material is and if/when/how the spray paint was used.

Thanks. These are the glass for my new project 3D printed Land Rover Defender 1/18 scale RC car. I used Resione G217 - 3D printing resin. I printed, washed, cured (everything as usual for photopolymer printing), then sanded the 800/1200/2000 grid with sandpaper on a block, then painted the edging with black paint, then varnished it, then polished it with 2 polishing pastes (menzerna start and finish)

Pure resin print. Yet might should have just poured it yourself. I was hoping to see some magic with PETG.

Unfortunately, using FDM technology it is almost impossible to obtain a similar glass effect, because the part is created layer by layer. The layers still do not sinter perfectly and the part inside is not uniform. With photopolymer printing, the part turns out to be solid, uniformly sintered, solid inside and only requires processing on the outside. Sorry for bad english

I'm thinking about Transparent ABS, and acetone... do some layers and glue with more acetone... nobody tried it, or I never saw...
