Dang I almost couldn't even hear with all that loud ass background music.
+monikstar09 fr same
Focus
foreal😂
he is 34 in this..he looks barely 25
Tom kicking that dude in the parking lot was top 3 moments in tv for me
He was on point with his views on the rap game. Lack of creativity= everyone sounds the same.
Jesus the editing made me want to vomit
Boondocks movie would had been better than dear white people
Please say it again!
Man what I liked the most about these interviews is that it shows you how humble he is. He doesn't deliver his point of views in a conceited way. Even though I agree with a lot of what he says.
He said lazyness artistically thank god he said that.. That right there was words of wisdom
2010 now. beginning of 2010
2020 now...beginning of 2020
3:29 "what he said Nagguh" LOL!!
I just love the boondocks, hope you keep making new episodes :]
one of the best shows ever...I'm about to pull out season one and watch it
Dope interview...keep putting good sh!t up and I'll keep watching!!
I would really enjoy to sit down and just talk to this guy. He seems really nice but you can tell he's holding back on his ideals infront of the camera.
I love your show The Boondocks, I'm coming up with one of my own cartoon.
If I want to watch and listen to an interview, I DO NOT NEED MUSIC IN THE BACKGROUND.
I think Aaron McGruder is a visionary. Thankfully, reportedly, a third season is IN THE WORKS and is supposed to debut in January.
@GuillermoSmyser this was a 45min interview please check out part 2 and 3 if you want to hear Aaron talking about other subjects!
Beat on the background is sick
man he's still a kid wow congrads dude keep it up!
The boondocks is just the black version of the simpsons.
this man is a genius. the show never fails to impress
The last song is General Principles by GZA of Wu-Tang the song before last is The Boondocks Theme Song (Ending)
-HKTV
this and metalocalypse always always make my day
I love how they have that Gza song in the background
I love the way Aaron laughs
DAMN. You think you place that music any louder??
wow i never knew that such a young dude made this show..good for him
thats the beat to the gza and dj muggs 'general principles' off the grandmasters album
yeah the episode at 2:36 i saw last night too.the thing that killed me the most was when the guy did a anime kick to the thugs chest.lmao
the man is frikin brilliant.
the show has very well done social commentary.
OMG!Phoneke you are 1 of the only ppl that have posted that actually hit the nail on the head!I'm British and we find African American obsession with wanting equality and acceptance, but at the same time perpetuate the same stereotypes and encouraging the 'nigga' mentality quite strange.
luv this show!
God I love The Boondocks.
@jpizzo706 lol. this was a 45min interview please check out part 2 and 3 if you want to hear Aaron talking about other subjects!
yeah, he's way more sophisticated than alot of people (i.e. my friends) would think he is. I love the fact that he's so controversial wit it u kno? And creative.
3:36 the way he said nigga made me shit myself laughing
The host be lookin like John Krasinski
I Love this Show!
I love the Boondocks Aaron thanks for standing for something that you believe in bro... We need more smart intelligent black men in this world keep doing what you doing.
God Bless him for makin the Boondocks....God Bless him!
"The best I can hope for now is 1 or 2 good songs a year...my expectations are so low I don't even know how to answer the question anymore."
My thoughts exactly.
And he's right...it's just laziness and the music isnt growing. I definitely agree.
"it just sounds bad"
100% dead on.
The fucking editing
did you ever find the instrumental for the end song of this credits? i liked it too.
we need more people like him period
I was thinking the same thing homie
props for going from a hated and despised comic strip to a successful and hilarious cartoon show. the evolution of these elements are huge! whether you believe/accept it or not its true. the fact that he was able to use racism and actual real life scenarios in a satirical cartoon makes this show jizz-worthy.
cameinmypants.
luv this show and comic
I want the boondocks soundtrack!
he is such an awsome NYUKA, I love him, no wonder he can make such a beatiful cartoon.
whats that song in the background?
that's a sick beat
I'm mexican and I LOVE the boondocks :D
that shitz dope that they got Grandmasters playin in the background lol! SO thoroughly Real!
is there gonna be season 3
its around everywhere in the US. especially jersey
i just wanna know if theres really gonna be a season 3 i've been waiting forever and i only here other ppl sat there is i aint heard it from aaron or adult swim
Aaron's evaluation of Hip Hop and the lack of imagination could be applied to mainstream music in general these days. An almost complete dearth of artistic merit and craft.
thanks for the video, if someone could tell me what that beat is in the last 5 seconds of the video id very much appreciate it
for sure!
"intro" by asheru i think its also the theme song
@TheHardcoreWar hey i wanted to ask, how come there are some videos that say to watch a boondocks episode by using the link yet they don't have comments? is it a trap or something, cuz some videos have like 1000 views yet not one person comments on it.
They have sick beats
Whats the background instrumental during the interview parts?
That's the song that comes on at the end of every episode, just get an episode of Boondocks and play it...
Boondocks is at a higher level than Family Guy.
Ya------that's what I'm talking about-every episode dude. HEY! I'M GETTING AN IPOD TOUCH FOR CHRISTMAS, AND I CAN UPLOAD MY SEASONS TO IT, ISN'T THAT TWAWESOME?!!!?!?!!
Exactly!
lmao saditty i cant get over that word
I have such a crush on Aaron!! He is so caustic!
I digg his words on hiphop:p
This is the best portrayal of black people in animation of all-time!
genuine guy, thumbs up i u agree
3:35 XD but thank god for aaron cuz i never laughed at a show so hard since dave chapelle
I love the Boondocks.
He's got some good insights.
I Really like the episode where Stinkmeaner takes over Tom. But then again all episodes are really good!
without Rico pabon’s HardKnock tv theme song
this show is TIGHT
I watch the boondocks cause its funny, but its true. Can't wait for season 3!!
I loved the comicwhen i was younger as well.
The Boondocks is tha shit, and can relate to more than just black people. It talks about everything around us and puts in a comical way.
Good interview. Can anyone tell me the name of the beat in the backround at :30 ?
if you can remember the website let me know i'd like to check'em out
@Quadropticus
your comment was very well put. we definitely still have work to do.
Chapelle's Show and Boondocks are two of the funniest shows i've ever seen...y'knowamshayin'?
And they had two cameras. One was set to grayscale and they cut between the two quite unnecessarily. Other than that it was a nice interview.
Boondocks is the most creative tv show out. McGruder= Genius
Never mind that the cameraman has ADD (or some other thing that makes him zoom in and out uncontrolably). What's up with the loud music in the backgroud? It ruined the whole interview!! Can't hear half of what they are saying!!
What's the track they're using throughout this interview?
This inspires me to do the same thing. :)
fuck yea. I'm putting all the season 1 on my touch, only problem is my computers space lol
2 totally different shows man!
is sesson 3 the last sesson :(
still is. The show is a little bit difference but the satire is still their.
You're right. I LOVE THIS SHOW. Does anyone realizes that Huey Freeman is actually based on HUEY P. NEWTON? He looks just like him.
yo wuts the music playing in the back fuck i've heard it before
i hope seasson 4 comes out soon........
@Boomkinguyman that's the editor... the camera is simple multiple cameras recording in sync.
i second that, it seemed that he wanted to create
some kind of parallel between aaron and dave,
like "Hey they're both black...they're both controversial...that means THEY'ARE THE SAME!!! YYYYAAAAYYYY!!!" I mean come on now!! he was a dork who wanted aaron to agree with him so badly
@Boomkinguyman Because we wouldent keep up the interest if they had kept it on only one camera angle, although the editer dident think of having clips from the actual series running while he talks.
ppl talk bout this show, but i can honestly say i know plenty ppl that act like these stereotypes and they didn't even notice until the episode with riley thanks for not snitchin
