I just rewatched the BET episode and it’s funny in 2023 look at the majority of music coming out now…BET put on a lot of those artists and the majority are just as he describes. Adam is a historian, social commentator and wise man.

I just want to say I never watched season 1 but after watching a few shows I find it very funny, everyone needs to relax its comedy, yeah he talks about things that are going on in this country from his stand point, and some of it may be over the top, but its still funny,and I am glad to see the show back on, and now I can have season 2 and now season 3. I love the Boondocks keep it comin, I hope this is not the final season.
The kid was ahead of his time with the issues he was trying to address. Sadly not much has changed.

I love BOTH South Park and Boondocks equally and I'm sure if Boondocks follow South Park's lead as well as Beavis and Butthead, and the Simpson's and do a Boondock's movie, Boondock's would receive the acclaim Boondock's deserves! Come on Aaron! PLEASE do a Boondock's movie for the big screen!

I had no big problems with BET under Bob Johnson. Looking back on it now BET had a good mix of programming under Bob Johnson. They had entertainment,news and political shows. Today all I see on BET under Viacom are movies,sitcom reruns,106 & Park and Wendy Williams. The mistake Bob made was BET Uncut. That's the show that brought the station the most criticism. Uncut wasn't a good fit for BET. MTV or VH1 would have been better stations for a show like that.

Ok you could say he "sold out". I just wished that he could have sold it to another rich black person. BET needs to be black owned. White owners aren't going to have the same outlook as black owners. With BET under Johnson we had an independent black owned media outlet. We lost that after Johnson sold it.
CrowdPleeza So true under the Bob Johnson era. I remember they would play a wide variety of conscious hip hop then after viacom they blacklisted all conscious rap. You started hearing the stripper, popping bottles, at the club stuff with no conscious or high vibrational music to back it up.
BET uncut was solid lol kids were suppose to be in bed I never saw the problem with early BET they had educational shows just not many
