Master difficulty is an unlockable difficulty after collecting all 14 emeralds. On this difficulty, The speed is set at Gear 3 just like Hard Mode but ALL Bots will be MAX Level at the start and they will NOT get easier even upon continuing. On top of that, in Bonus Round, you have NO bumpers and the timer will not refresh above 10 seconds! It's a challenge on how well you can deal with strong bots and your overall mastery of the game.Also, on this difficulty only, Finishing 1st overall on a GP GUARANTEES a Sealed Star, rather than being within A Rank status after the last race of a GP. Perfect, considering there is 1 unlockable for getting all the emeralds AGAIN... but on Master. Sealed Stars will also be on Gear 3 speed rather than Gear 2! - เกม

It hurts even more having to do Death Egg zone only to biff it at the end. Amazing run otherwise, though!
I thought that Super Sonic was a vanilla character for a moment.
If you give him the white spray can he will flash colors as he will become hyper Sonic as an Easter egg

Unless stated otherwise by the game (which it will do upfront if you load a gameplay-modifying mod), a character pack will never usually lock you out of saving.

@@StarForceBelmont321 Well, the game will tell you right away if a character causes gameplay modifications (hence locking you out of saving for that play session).
Man, that Sealed Star run was painful to watch. Not only missing the S.P.B. when it showed up, but that fall on the first run...
How do you handle Sealed Star 14? It has felt brutal to drive through each time I've attempted it, and I'm still struggling. And I've done so with mid speed stats.
The hardest part imo is the underwater section. You gotta deal with different turning physics on top of a very hazardous and thin path. Best to take that section slow and careful for the first couple of attempts.
For the extreme slope area, I just like to go for a punt through the spikes (you can punt most hazards by being in boost state and moving at a speed of 200% or higher). And even if I fail the punt, I can just e-brake then spindash up the slope.
Once I get past those parts, I feel like I’m good for the rest of the sealed star.

Does the gear level change the difficult of the cpu's ? Or is it only for speed
Gear speed is separate from bot difficulty level. You could set the speed to Gear 1 with max level bots in free play if you wanted.

You can use the Barrier shield from in Bonus Round, too. You just need some of your gauge filled and then E-Brake (Hold Accel and Brake at the same time).

If you're talking about the SEGA sound effect, it'll also trigger if you directly nail someone with a banana or mine without hitting the floor.
