I do not see how he could be bisexual. He only really shows any forms of interest toward Naoto and other girls. It is true that he shows interest in Naoto before her reveal as a female, but that is attributable to a variety of factors (e.g., no one paid any attention to him before; he misinterprets what she meant; and her interest countered his fear of rejection). Regardless, he doesn't lose interest in her after her reveal as a female and, for what it is worth, is enthusiastic about such a prospect.
He never shows any explicit interest in male characters and, in other media, is flustered around other females-he even participates in activities such as trying to get their phone numbers!
In fairness, at least the bisexual interpretation does not discard or ignore the details in the Persona 4 universe that traditionally are at odds with other interpretations (for example, the interpretation that he is homosexual discards and / or ignores his attraction to Naoto, as well as his own commentary).
Kanji is Kanji.

To anyone who may use this to dis Yosuke for homophobia/being mean to Kanji and hasn’t played this game.
Anything that Yosuke “said” before the fight, he didn’t actually say. Another being is distorting their perception so that they hear the other person say negative things.
This is also why Yosuke gets defensive after the fight, from his perspective Kanji was being mean to him because Yosuke’s perception was distorted by this being as well.
It’s also why Yosuke acts confused and starts “playing dumb” when Kanji gets angry at him after the fight. He never actually said those things, he is actually confused since he genuinely did nothing wrong.
After the fight ended, this distortion broke so after the fight they start to hear what the other person is ACTUALLY saying, rather then a spew of hate.
Now that doesn’t mean there aren’t other scenes where Yosuke is written badly, displaying homophobia and/or being mean to Kanji (looking at you camping scene) but this is not one of those scenes.

Yosuke is an accurate representation of a high schooler born in the early 90s. Virtually nobody from that time was acceptably woke by today's standards at 16, he was even well above average in that regard.

I speak for myself here but it's creepy how funny they make the "hot spings" out to be because I against my own better judgment sat down to watch the P4 anime and found it unbearably sad. The cognitive dissonance of "embrace, and accept, and understand your non-confornity" and who they humiliate for being loud and different and literally born a certain way that just pulls all value from Persona from Persona 4 to P4's anime and spin offs up to and including the impact of everyone who loves it for its plot... I urge people who just overlook it all the time to just call it out. It's problematic and hurtful. Disengage if you have to. Boundaries aren't a weakness it's incredibly strong. Media is important in how and what you consume shaping your maturity and growth into whatever you want to become. Seriously though, Kanji is the most adorable and sweet person! I'd love to meet someone like him, because he's such a darling~ He's in touch with his feminine side, and that makes for a very good boyfriend/husband in the long run!
He can provide things for Naoto that she lacks as a woman (cooking skills, knowledge of basic to advanced skill with certain common needs, and having a compassionate and tender side), and she can provide things Kanji lacks as a man (advanced knowledge, more awareness of certain terms and phrases, a calm and rational thought process). This is obviously an amazing pairing, and even though I don't ship them it's obvious to see they go well together! They cover each other's missing parts, and are even close in age!
Naoto needs to get her ass in gear and snatch this treasure up! Or Kanji needs to stop being so awkward and take initiative!

Second, and I'm not saying this necessarily applies to Yosuke, but you don't always have to be secretly gay to be homophobic. There are several factors that could lead to homophobia, intentional or not.
