I have a 2023 SS 1LE and I love it. All of the "poor visibility" comments are blown way out of proportion. It is not hard to drive this car at all and it drives awesome.
I agree, every time I drive my 2023 Camaro I wonder what people are talking about when they say it’s hard to see out of, I have absolutely no issues seeing out.
My buddy has a 2023 Camaro ...its a v8. I'm not sure what trim but it's definitely fun to drive and ride around in. Sounds great. Looks great. Awesome interior. Great ambient lighting. Changing the ambient lighting in the interior to red is just sinister
People need to understand once you live with this car for a real amount of time and not just afew hours you learn how to position your mirrors and how to deal with the blind spots. They are not great but not as horrible as they are made out to be. And I end with this. If this version of the Camaro is so hard to see out of explain the low 7 minute lap time around the ring.
Bought a 2022 SS 1LE with manual trans in May of ‘23 with 3100 miles for $50k OTD. I love it, might be my last V8 because I don’t know of another car that I would like better. It’s nice to see people finally coming around to what a performance bargain this car is.
So everyone takes it as you never heard of a Mustang Gt500?? You need to stop yo. Thanks for showing such a beautiful 1SS 1LE. So this SS is a 1LT trim, so it doesn't have heated or cooled seats or steering wheel, possibly no heads up display, and 1. The crackle and popping is a result of detuning the LT1 to deliver 455 hp vs 460 in the Corvette. My 2018 SS has it so it didn't begin in 2019. It has nothing yo do with the exhaust suitcase and all quad tipped Camaros have dash selectable modes. The 5 hp detuning was to keep the HP below the base Corvette. You don't get the lighting changes in the door trim or the stip on top of the Infotainment center. It will light up, but just white light. The 2020 was tge worst year for quality out of tge entire 2016-2024 lineup. Not sure why. It you replace the end links on the SS/1LE/ZL1 with BMR solid aluminum units instead of thin spring steel it will totally help with handling and steering feel. The splitter is $100 on eBay because you WILL break it. My guy has the original quality repops for $92.50 free shipmplus tax. Please replace the lower rear valsnce with a diffuser. It's only $299 and has a nice non -tacky unit that is better quality than stock. Add Diodr Dynamics LED side marker lights (very popular) for $199 with a 3 year warranty. 3 styles are available depending on laws in your area.
All 6th gen V8 Camaro have the same HP and Torque, GM did the change on the exhaust sound '19- Camaro just to make it appealing for the ones that like the crackle and pop sound.
I have a 2017 2SS and its awesome. Magnaride with recaro seats. Great handling, decent fuel mileage, awesome sound. It makes a great daily for me. Since the idea was not to track it more than once a year, this car is perfect, and visibility is not an issue at all.
Dude that looks exactly like mines, 21' SS1 1LE In Wild Cherry Tintcoat, stunning color. I've never been a Red car guy and while searching for a Blue one, I found mine...1000 miles away. First Long distance car purchase for me, and instead of having it trailered, I had to go get it and drive it home. Had it for about two years now and I plan to upgrade it while I enjoy it and share mileage duty with the Truck to work. Great car at any price but man it was a smoking great deal!!
I own a factory new 2024 Camaro 2SS . It doesn’t have the 1LE package but a still holds its own on the road. Since I daily drive this car rather than track it - I decided to forgo the 1LE package and save $7k. I love ❤️ my Camaro - the way it sounds and handles. I especially love the way my Camaros 455 hp NA engine sings to me when changing gears. It’s very sad that GM pulled the curtain down on this Beautiful little car 🚘 😢.
That red ZL1 1LE picture in the beginning of the video was my background on my computer for almost 4 years lol. Probably my favorite car and the SS 1LE is favorite obtainable car, probably will go down the best in its class for the final V8 cars here in the US 🇺🇸🏎️.

This is a very well done video. They should have mentioned the no lift shift and the different track modes for the car. It is an amazing car and I’ll hang on to my 2020 2 SS 1LE.
Your title is a bit misleading. The Camaro may be the last true muscle car from Chevrolet. it is a shame that Chevrolet is killing it off again. They could always bring it back. My point is the car that started this segment, the Mustang, is still going strong. Soon it will be the lone offering in the segment.
Iv owned Camaros since i was 16 im now 45. Owned gen 2 3 5 and now a 6. Have no problems seeing out of it except behind me but u get use to it. The gen 6 is absolutely amazing car very reliable. Im 6,3 and im very comfortable love my gen 6. My wife is 5,8 120 pounds she drives it daily no problems seeing out of it. Back seats suck but we don’t want people back there anyway its more for storage than anything. We own the RS with 3.6 with twin turbos built myself. I have around $25,000 into everything with around 700 crank HP. For the money I couldn’t be happier with my Camaro.
The sad days of the 80s and 90s made us sit and listen to old timers tell drag race stories about 454 chevelles pulling wheelies and Cuda myths. The 69 zl1 camero . Or the yenko camero. Or the boss 9 ll, or 427 shelby cobra. I seriously think we'd never gave a crap if yhe car era didn't take a dive. My dad had a nova, a 68 ss camero, a 76 blazer , and then in the mid 80s he bought a black iroc z28 and got a fast looking car that wasn't really fast at all. I was really disappointed when my buddy's dad got a plain jane vortek v8 blazer and smoked everything cool that we thought was fast in the early 90s. My 87 4 speed 4 cylinder s10 was 0-60 in 12 hours.
Both of them are great sport cars. The SS1LE has a more balanced handling, but the ZL1 its a powerful monster. You can't go wrong👍 But I prefer the wheel's look of the SS1LE.
If I compared my 6th gen Camaro SS with my Corvette Stingray C7 Z51. I would say that the Camaro is a 9/10 from that Corvette. Both had the NPP exhaust but the one on the Camaro was louder (better), also the 6MT tremec shifter on the Camaro its way more precise than the 7MT on the Corvette, the only big difference was that the Camaro felt heavier on the back while doing fast change of lanes or while taking a fast curve, the Corvette was more agile doing that. I preferred the HUD display on my Corvette had better colors. The very commented visibility issues that many mention about the Camaro, you quickly get used to the car and forget about them, specially if you bought the SS2 that comes with the proximity sensor and also all have a rear camera for reversing.
The 5th gen is def a little more raw of a car the 6th feels really well built. All the weight savings make it feel really tiny inside compared to the 5th so I never upgraded. Great feeling cars. End of an era for sure.

The 6th gen Camaro its a very special muscle car, the lighter weight of the "Alpha" chassis made a huge difference. To give you an idea. MT did a H2H of the '16 Camaro SS VS that year BMW M4 and the Mustang won. Then MT test drove the 6th gen SS1LE and mentioned that it outperformed the 5th gen Camaro ZL1 and Z28, also in their "8" test it outperformed the Porsche GT4 and Audi R8, and they kept mentioning that even it was better than the Mustang Mach l, Supra and 400Z. R&T did a H2H of the SS1LE VS that year BMW M2 Competition and the SS1LE beated the M2. Another very special Camaro is the ZL1 that can handle the 650 HP much better than the Z06 per MT comments (because of its superior chassis design). Throttle house also loves the SS1LE.👍🏆
I prefer the exhaust sound of the '16-'18 Camaro V8 because it doesn't have the crackles and pop sounds of the '19-'24 V8, for me it sounds like an oriental sport car and not like a V8 American Muscle car.
