  • This is how I smoked the best over the top chili that I've ever done! And I did it on my Weber Kettle. Heat grill to 275F.
    Here is the recipe:
    Chili:
    1 bell pepper
    1 large onion
    2 large jalapeño peppers
    6 cloves of Garlic
    1 tbs cumin
    2 tbs chili powder
    2tbs Cayenne pepper
    14.5 oz diced tomatoes
    14.5 oz crushed tomatoes
    15 oz light red beans
    Meat:
    2 lbs meat. I used 1 lb 93/7 ground beef and 1 lb 70/30
    3 tbs Butt Rub
    3/4 tbs Cayenne pepper
A few shots of Worcestershire sauce
Grill meat for 2 hours or until internal temp reaches 150F on a grate on top of the Dutch oven.
Once internal is 150F, crumble the meat into the Chili. Continue to cook for two more hours or until desired thickness is achieved.
Enjoy! Let me know how yours turns out in the comments.

Looks like you picked the perfect cold day to grill some chili Bud! Great recipe and great idea cooking the meat above the Dutch Oven! That hit the spot!

Seeing your video in my recommended feed feels like destiny, lol! I have a Copper Weber Kettle and I made Ove The Top Smoked Chili last year. I have been WAITING for a cold snap ever since, so I can make it again, it was that good. I need to get myself one of those pots. Good stuff GD, new sub!

Thank you for watching. The smoked chili always hits the spot. Especially with Fritos in it.

It is part of the Eggspander kit for the Big Green Egg.

Why add that beef combo instead of just using two 80/20?? Lol
