Well funny you should ask... Weber is coming out with one and I can't wait to fill that basket full of meat and watch it spin. Happy Cooking, Chef Jason
That was nice and all, but no one has any love for 27 inch grilles who want some rotisserie chicken etc. Who even makes them? Only on company (Bandit) shows one and they apparently have not made any for years. Did you mention the counterbalance weight and how to set that? Did you learn to season the chicken AFTER it is on the spit?
HI Lynn, we dont talk about any 26" Kettles in this video as the focus is the Weber 22". Weber doesn't currently make a 26" kettle. As far as the counter weight goes, the ends of the rotisserie skewer are weighted so there is no need for a counter balance. 2 ways to season the whole chicken or turkey... use a binder and season before or season on the spit. both work great, I prefer seasoning ahead of time and doing a touch up once on the spit. Happy Cooking, Chef Jason
I would suggest getting a second set of rotisserie forks to hold the second chicken. Also make sure the chickens aren’t too big, or they may not fit/cook right. Chef Jason
Great vid, I always season after she’s loaded on the spit. Keeps’er looking pretty!
Do you close the lid during cooking or leave the lid off?
Lid on while cooking, Chef Jason
Good information
Great video thanks
Can we use the 22" lid on the 22 rotisserie ring?
Yes for sure, that’s exactly what i used. Happy Cooking, Chef Jason
I burn calories listening to this guy. Not enough to make up for all the BBQ intake..🙂
How long did it take?
Hi Nimster, that will depend on the size of the chicken you use, on avg around 1 1/4 - 1 3/4 hours. Chef Jason
@@ChefJasonMorse ok thank you. I just needed a starting point I will make sure to start it two hours before dinner just incase
Can a rotisserie basket be used with the rotosserie attachment?

@@ChefJasonMorse Great news, since I have to buy a new Weber charcoal grill. Thanks!
Will this fit on the 22" Smokey Mountain?

Too bad Weber dId not design this to flip over and have motor cut outs so this could also fit on a WSM.
I’ll pass this info along to my friends at Weber. Happy cooking, Chef Jason
Dude your voice sounds just like Guy Fieri
Ha ha. Thanks Rob. He copied my style :-). Chef Jason
Weber needs to make that handle out of something dishwasher safe.

The Weber brand rotisserie setup is overpriced. The OnlyFire setups are just as good and half the price.
I'll stick with bean can chicken
My Invention for rotisserie Chicken and Meat has made the spit and prongs out of date.
