I just picked one of these up a 2001 Honda superhawk 996 I freaking love it been riding liter bikes past 30 years I've rode pretty much everything out there not saying it's the fastest bike in the world but it is a fun bike that pulls hard especially for its age I love the V-Twin torque out of the hole it's quite fun
👏 amazing video bro. Whoever had the bike before you knew what to do with the manual cct. U need to make sure the rectifier has been changed (should have fins) i got rid of my k&n and fixed most of my problems. Buy a cheap hiflow

I have stock air filter and exhaust and jetting. Always runs perfectly right to the rev limiter. Check the choke functioning.
That blue!! 😍

The K&N fits the trash can perfectly! Stock filter and 8541hawk carb tune rules.
Was it difficult finding parts? And thank you for these videos, lifesaver.
Nah it wasn't so bad, there are a few retailers still carry some of the OEM parts.
just picked one up for 600$ usd. Im not the best at fixing things but for that price on my dads old bike model i couldnt pass it up!
TPS to 500 ohms needs to be set once you have carb balance, idle & pilot screw set. It is literally the last adjustment!
I actually did it again at the end, but I was happy I did the initial adjustment since I needed to remove and modify the tang.
I bought another firestorm for 2g just needs cdi unit.
Have one here In Edmonton Canada..
2500 bux and she fires right up...
Worth it in your opinion?
Where did you get your parts from I am currently rebuilding one.
i have the same symptoms
How much have u put into the bike
What’s the Honda OEM number for that fuel float my bike just like yours is having problems showing instrumentation on the gauge?
If you're bike is like mine and shows fuel level it's 37080-MBB-A20. The earlier models just had a low level light and that's a different part number.
Good Video & I'm using this as a guide to rebuild my own but plz leave out the shite music
