These guys were one of the biggest glam rock bands in the 70s They had so many hits .Try reacting to the BALLROOM BLITZ , You will notice they had make up like girls , David Bowie said they go to far with their make up. Great band .
Sweet were pioneers of Glam Rock. "Jean Genie" by Bowie was released in November 1972. "Blockbuster" by Sweet was released in January 1973 "The Muddy Waters-inspired blues riff is markedly similar to that featured on fellow RCA act David Bowie's "The Jean Genie", released shortly before 'Blockbuster' , but all parties maintained this was a coincidence." I love both songs equally
Great beat isn't it? Yes the words are all bravado. I don't think they are supposed to make so much sense. But I think you are sweeter than SWEET Faye! You can come away with me now, I own lots of houses all with swimming pools and I own some planets too!! Haha, only kidding. But maybe come anyway..just leave your man a little note and the job is done. I look forward to the next.
Long live the fantastic music of the Sweet ‼️ 🤘🔥🔥🔥🔥
If I may say so The Sweet were a truly badass band. Iconic songs. Desolation Boulevard an all time classic. Thanks for sharing. GB!
I watched this performance on Top Of The Pops, 1973 great year for glam rock
love the way they seem to be enjoying themselves so much appearing on Top of the Pops .
Yeah, these new groups, singers are too damned SERIOUS!!! Why can't they just enjoy themselves instead of trying to look EDGY! Which is nothing NEW!
Love the sweet have seen them many times
Many good Sweet songs. I can't remember the album this was on, but I listened to it quite a bit as a kid.

If you love the drummer you must look at The Man With the Golden Arm - amazing drum solo.
Briliant Fay was born 30 years too late❤🥰
