Hey, on the bolt the doesn't fit in all the way, why don't you pull the bolt out, thread a nut onto it and cut the bolt down enough that it will thread all the way on. Once you've cut down the bolt , you can back off the nut to rethread the bolt. This way you can snug up the bolt and have a finished look. Nice install. I just hate anything looking unfinished.
I’m newbie to the Jeep wrangler world…all the keeps come with roll bars but as my daily diver do I need to get a cage for a hard top Jeep? Sorry if it’s a dumb question but I’m new to this
so under normal driving conditions the jeeps come with what is known as a "sports bar" not a roll bar so in the unlikely event of a roll over at low speeds it should hold up well enough to protect you but will be severely damaged as will the jeep. The roll cage was because when off roading I am increasing the chances by alot that the jeep may tip my thought process was rather than caving in the windshield and such the roll cage would hold up better and might pull through a light roll better than the factory. You do not need it no, but its just extra protection.
No fitment issues at all the one issue I had was at night with the top off the bottom bar that went across the dash would reflect the street lamps onto the windshield but that was my only negative with it and it was probably because the powder coat was too glossy
Great video! Glad to hear you were able to replace your phone. Remember though, 4K isn't the only thing that makes a good video! You do a lot of work outside, and because of that you have a lot of wind noise in your videos. I'd love for you to invest in a better mic! A tripod would go a long way as well to reduce your camera movement. Just my 2 cents. Keep it up!
Rock Hard 4x4 ships a tap to run through the threads of the clamps after the cage has been power coated. Not sure about the side plates. You can probably find the tap for the hole and run it.
Yea I bought the kit used so I ended up buying the stencil to drill out the side plates i figured the holes would line up and be fine being it was removed from a jeep.. turns out he never drilled the side pillars didn't want to hurt his tub... smh idk why he had the cage lol
been wanting to do this in my 2012 rubi, I had one in my TJ and loved it, wish I could find a deal like u did, guess I will keep looking since I don't want to dish out for full price new one
Hey greetings! Do you have vídeos of the mods for the Renegade? Or is pretty stock right now ? I loved the camo color. Great videos man! I don't even have a Jeep and I love your videos xD
It is pretty stock for now, its the wife's daily driver and its a lease at first i wanted to mod the crap out of it for fun but now I view it as a shopping cart... glad we leased it to be honest lol
Ohhh and why do you say that about the leasing? Would you recommend the Renegade? Where I live it's kind of pricey and I'm not sure on real world reviews from owners.
its a good entry level suv, my wife wanted an suv but not a wrangler, its similar to a corolla just alittle taller and 4x4 it isnt great on gas kind of slow and not much room. its like a toaster on wheels, we got the desert hawk with the removable sky top, i removed it twice. it isnt a wrangler lol oh and the reverse camera is horrible.
Hahahaha, nice review xD Thanks tho, TBH here where I live the price is by no means an entry level SUV, it is located way above all the other the entry level SUVs so it's nice to hear an honest review from a Wrangler owner. Thanks for your response and your amazing videos!
Looks good man....just subscribed. At first I was like why not sand it and maybe have it match your Jeep..but saw the red in the rubicon sticker and said...”why not” 😋
Brent Sims it’s Frankensteined it’s a procomp stage 2 lift with Fox shocks with the reservoirs a Rubicon express front adjustable track bar and a jks rear adjustable track bar lol made due with what I had lol
I like it. I just dont trust a bolt in cage. Hoping one day I can get a full weld in cage done but I am in the process a getting rid of the shitty 4.5" AEV lift for a true long arm and one ton setup and new drive shafts#my_jeep_drinks_cash
old12school3. Well it might just be my luck but.....I have the 4.5" AEV Dual Sport lift. #1 When I got it I had death wobble not even a month later...#2 I got it back after a new steering stabilizer was installed and yep a month later death wobble again. #3 I got it back after the shop conversed with Synergy and installed a steering box and sector shaft brace that was supposed to be the "fix all" was installed and yep you guessed it, death wobble again. So my jeep club is friends with the Rustys offroad owner and he shipped the shop his 1 ton steering kit which they said was inferior and it fixed the problem. Now my steering box is starting to fail from the shotty AEV suspension parts because thier kit is causing a bind and might have been the root cause. Starting over and I warn people so they don't experience what I have. Weak parts and shitty geometry!
Scott Mcphee old comment but I’m sure most death wobble is from poor install, or poor geometry. And I would never use an AEV lift, seems to be a go to lift for dealerships for mall crawlers. I did a 3.5 Rubicon Express lift and love it, rides and handles great.
Unpopular Patriot I agree with you 110% . I just watched a guy put the same thing on and didn't cut up his dash at all. All he did was Fu@k up a good jeep.
It was the 2 side panels which needed to be trimmed. But once installed you never saw the trim anyway.. If you are affraid to cut or trim you are likely affraid to wheel... in either case you probably would not need the cage anyway lol
yea I realize it isnt for everyone, but its a great added protection from anything. .. I did however smash my head on the center bar getting into the jeep for one of the first times lol

Glad you are back. here's to many more videos in 2018!
Thankyou!
Man, I don’t even own a jeep. Yet i still watched the entire video. LOL!
bOK s-mylzz haha thanks appreciate it!
me too
bOK s-mylzz what’s it like to have money? Lmao
You definitely sold me on the cage! Love the colour combo man
Well worth it! I loved the caged
So lucky you don’t have to deal with the snow and salt. Enjoying the vids! Great work as always!
I was in nj for 28 years lol enjoying the fl weather now
So those carolina metal master grab handles were not able to reinstall after you add this??
David Mourer redundant I removed them and sold
Welcome back and Happy Holidays. Great install looks good. This thing is a beast!
Thanks man!

yep! born and raised! now I am in down in south florida next badge will probably be in TN
It’s been over 2 years since you installed the cage, do you still like it?
yea 100% it is awesome.
@@TMogo116 Perfect, thanks. Also what stinger are you running on your Hard Rock bumper?
@@kencabezas490 That was made by maximus-3 maximus-3.com/
@@TMogo116 Thx. Nice Rig
With this modification installed is there any limitations with the hard top? Does it restrict the freedom panels near the windshield?

love the cage just my it hurts my brain to see dark green and a kinda cherry red together but it’s your jeep enjoy it🙏
haha I know but it kind of matched the red accents on the hard rock edition so I left it.
Nice addition to the Jeep. Scott
thank you!
Wonder if you can flip and lower the dash bar for a better fit ?
James Moore no the dash jumps over the cluster would not clear
Nice sport cage! Do you ever feel like the bar that runs from each A pillar interfere with your view of the road?
I was worried about this but actually it doesn't block any of the road you lose the view of your hood.
I had a problem putting the hardtop on it would hit and I couldn't close it properly
Really? I had no issues with the hardtop I am guessing alittle bit of grinding with a dremel would solve any issues though.
Anyone have any tips on creating a pattern or trimming of the a pillar trim to fit snugly around the roll bar?
Take your time and trim little by little, if you want add me on instagram shoot me a message I can snap some pics @TMogo116
I'm getting my cage now. thanks for the video bro.
What were the grab handles you removed (are you selling them at a great price by chance) it looked like they had a ram mount?
they were just some amazon knock offs worked great I ended up giving them away
Nice video, but you move the camera way to much...... thanks for the video though.
He says he uses his phone to make his videos.
Did you have to delete the sound bar?
Looks really nice great job
jose rosario thanks man!
Love the mods. What color is your Jeep?
Chacko Thomas it is Tank Green it’s the stock color from 2015
T Mogo116 thanks! Love that color. Hard to find. Videos look good in 4k also. Keep them coming.
Looks good. I installed mine a month ago and love it
did you have any issues with the holes lining up? or the bolt holes not tapped all the way
I had some issues with mine on the passages side
How do you like the rolling dash storage?
I liked it alot to hold a pair of sunglasses and not have them slide off aand out the side of the jeep with no doors lol
@@TMogo116 mine sucks opening and closing. Not smooth at all. Was yours smooth to operate?
It looks really nice thanks for the videos

Love it looks awesome
Hey dude what tint % are your JK windows and did you match your rear windows?
Red'sDomain yes I believe 20%
looks great
does your auto headlights still work?
Ryan Hanley yes that remained unaffected it does not block it all together

I like that antenna, where did you bay it? keep up the great vids!!!
Got it off amazon made by a company Antenna X
Looks good man....just subscribed. At first I was like why not sand it and maybe have it match your Jeep..but saw the red in the rubicon sticker and said...”why not” 😋
Thank you! yea the red in the sticker the tow hooks the arb covers it just fit right.
nice...fellow New Jersian
Great job , are you selling the grips
not sure yet they arent the expensive ones they are some no name ones from amazon
Looks good. I like how the red pops. Don't sweat the imperfections. It's a Jeep thing.
Carlos Hinostroza thanks man
Looks bad ass bud
Thanks bro!
What size drill bit did you use?
I forget I thought I mentioned it but its in the hard rock instructions
I mean, that's a lot of red haha but yeah soon as you get those two bottom bolts squared away looks good :)
What lift are you running
Brent Sims it’s Frankensteined it’s a procomp stage 2 lift with Fox shocks with the reservoirs a Rubicon express front adjustable track bar and a jks rear adjustable track bar lol made due with what I had lol
Sweet man.
I suggest that you invest in a microphone. I had to turn my smartphone's volume all the way up just to barely hear you talk.
Okie Rider I will look into it, I didn’t know the volume was an issue
I heard him loud and clear at medium volume. Great vids sick rig o|||||||o
Badass mang.
Wow it’s that nice in jersey?
I’m meaning that nice at this time of the year? I have no green by me :)
lol I have been trying to get to switch my plates originally from Bergen County but moved to south Florida last November

Scott Mcphee I agree it isn’t a weld in but for $350 I paid it’s better than no Cage lol
T Mogo116 oh hell ya. Looks badass too and gives you a mounting platform for your phone camera and GPS. One day I am gonna do one as well.
Why shitty 4.5" AEV lift? I thought AEV was a good brand?
old12school3. Instead of red bar it should be paint tan as your new top
eh I need some red, the red arb covers, the red tow hooks and the red in the rubicon
T Mogo116 I like the red contrast on your Tank Green - I did red accents with my tank green, goes with the red shocks/tow hooks etc very sharp
Angelique Birmingham thank you! I figured it’s a nice little touch plus I bought the cage already powder coated red so why not?! Lol
What flares are those?
These are Aries
4wd is where I find lots of deal
He says Craigslist and Amazon.
on a mall crawler? 😆 color looks good with the jeep
Sucks you needed to cut up your dash to install these.

@@matty86suk thanks I have never noticed!
Nice, but not for me. Keep up the great vids!
yea I realize it isnt for everyone, but its a great added protection from anything. .. I did however smash my head on the center bar getting into the jeep for one of the first times lol
U coming out to Cars and Coffee on 1/21?
i should make it yes
Hell yeah! Just found your channel! Keep making Jeep videos, I love it! Check out my JK on instagram @projectpjr
thanks man! will do my instagram is the same as the channel @TMogo116
Nice looking roll cage....i like. Nice looking jk
That install was a bad idea
This is just a cosmetic add on that makes dummies feel more safe and tear up their jeep installing it..
What year of engine hood is that?
the hood is a rubicon hardrock hood, my jeep is a 2015 i believe it came on several years between 2013+
