1 year late on this but due to how the sizings work, you can slap commercial spec stuff on mil spec tubes but not the other way around, meaning it's always in your best interest to just buy a new buffer tube if it's commercial spec. Saves you a lot of trouble down the line, and the majority of accessories will go with mil spec just because it's what the military uses and they wanna be 100% compatible.
The gen 2 is SOOOO much better the mloc base sucks the flat bottom pic rail was the better system, you can shoot gen 2 on a coaxial rest without getting elevation changes, unlike the gen 3.

Is this Magpul stock made only for a mil spec buffer tube, or can it be used on a standard size buffer tube as well ?
