Not a bad RTT, right up there with the other top notch hard side RTT.
I have been scouring the net looking for tents actually made in America and not just American companies with Chinese rebrands so the Roost was a great find. Thanks for your overview, helped set my mind more on this one.

The wedge gets put in between the strut and locking shock so it pushes that lock in order to close.
Hmmm, I still haven't figured it out, but in all fairness I haven't tried to hard to figure it out, I just keep doing it the hard way haha. But next time it's open I'll see if can figure out again haha.
Great review. Felt like you needed a small push pole to fully extend it from the back bumper. Does it pretty cold in there at night? No more than a tent?
Yeah a little push pole might help with the initial push up. But I'm tall enough I just go around to the side and finish pushing up. And yeah it's a tent no ways around that. I would say a little warmer inside then your average ground tent. But still a tent none the less.
Hey bud! That plastic thingy is meant to hold the struts when closing it by yourself without any extra hands :) Hope this helps! One of the best RTTs in the market!
Yeah I figured it has to be for that some way or another lol. Just never gave it enough time to figure it out I guess. I got it used, so no instructions and the guy before had no idea too haha. And since I herniated my disc in my back I haven't opened it back up again to figure not out yet.
Is Roost named after Roof + Nest = RooSt?
Nope completely different company. I thought that same thing when I first read it. And so have a few other. But completely separate company.
I saw these for sale online for $54.09. That's gotta be a scam, right?
Yeah I would imagine so, seems way to cheap.
